🧠🪱 Wiggly Wednesday Thursday 🧠 🪱
thank you for tagging me @stervrucht 🖤
no pressure tags: @frankenstein-ate-my-left-shoe @stevesbipanic and of course anyone else that would like to ♡
thinking about Steve and Eddie who, after going through rounds of physical therapy after everything, continue to work out together because Steve obviously loves it and loves having a friend to work out with. and Eddie notices the difference in his stamina when he gets back to performing on stage. (and if Eddie likes to watch Steve work out a little bit, and likes Steve coming over to help his form more than a little bit, well that’s his business.) but Steve takes a dance class and shakes up his usual warmup, leaving Eddie with some… thoughts.
***
“Okay, Munson,” Steve says, pulling his arm across his body for a shoulder stretch. “You ready?”
“Ready to be tortured? Always,” Eddie jokes. It was their thing. Eddie acts like he hates being there, but he still shows up every other day to their local gym in Indianapolis. And he won’t ever deny the benefits he’s noticed since starting their exercise regime. He's faster on stage, doesn't get winded near as easily, holding those screaming notes without feeling like his lungs will explode. Little did he know that today his joke would come to be true.
Steve liked most kinds of exercise. He was a sporty guy. He liked the pull and stretch of his muscles, the feeling of accomplishment after achieving a new goal, that delicious soreness the day after a really good workout. But mostly he loved trying new things. He’d give anything half a chance if he thought it might be fun. Which is how he ended up at a dance-aerobics class the week prior, finding himself having a lot of fun, blushing furiously when the women in the class complimented how quickly he picks up the steps.
He went back three more times that week. Part of his enjoyment came from the new warmup he was taught in the class. Steve’s usual warmup consisted of basic stretches and a light jog, covering all bases to ensure he didn’t get injured, but not very exciting.
This, however, was far more enjoyable. Steve found himself sinking deep into stretches he didn't know he had flexibility for, and moving his hips to a beat, ultimately just having way more fun with the warmup. And it was about to become a huge problem for Eddie.
Steve pops his headphones over his ears, the tape deck tucked securely in his shorts pocket. He bends over, inhaling deeply as the song starts, rising up with his hands overhead, exhaling as he rolls his wrists, hips moving side to side with the beat. His already short cropped t-shirt rises, showing off a good amount of his chest. He lets his arms come down, bending over again, feeling the pull in his hamstrings. Gripping his elbows, he lets the top half of his body hang, swinging from side to side, his hamstrings fully stretched out.
Eddie looks up from his own basic stretching, shocked to see Steve fully bent over, because hey, since when was he so flexible? With Metallica blaring through his own headphones, Eddie just stares, completely forgetting where he was at in his warmup.
Steve lets his hands drop, moving to one foot, back to the centre, then the other foot. Ass just up in the air, his shorts way too tight. Eddie swallows. He’d been denying his crush for months at this point, and good god this was not helping.
Rolling his shoulders as he stands up, Steve lets his hands travel down his bare thighs, sinking into a squat with his back arched and head tilted back. Eddie's eyes are wide as he watches those tight little shorts with the little cut-ins on the sides ride up, showing far more of Steve's glorious hairy thighs than Eddie can handle. Steve drops his head forward, hunching his shoulders as he moves back to standing. He repeats the motions, and Eddie wishes he had the strength to pull his stare away from Steve's ass.
Seeing Steve's head tilted back and his back arched is sending Eddie insane. Like, he geninely thinks he might evaporate on the spot if he keeps watching. But he just can't look away.
Turning himself sideways, Steve has one foot stepped out in front of the other, legs perfectly straightened into a triangle shape, bent over his front leg. Just when Eddie thinks he’s about to get up and end his suffering, Steve lowers himself down into a lunge. His little shorts definitely way too small and tight for the movement, Steve lunges back and forth, fingertips resting on the ground on either side of his front foot. Eddie watches as the t-shirt rides up with each lunge, the desire to get his lips and tongue all over Steve's chest overwhelming him.
Shaking himself, Eddie tries to remember which shoulder stretch he was up to. He attempts something close to a stretch, but he can’t be sure he's doing it right, because Steve has lowered himself to the ground, front leg bent and back leg perfectly straight, and is fucking thrusting into the ground. If he were to ask Steve, he’d find out this was a hip flexor stretch. But Eddie’s forgotten how to form words entirely, suddenly imagining nineteen different ways he wants to get dicked down by the man before him.
Eddie suffers in silence, heart racing in his chest, watching as Steve repeats the movements on his other side. He prays that the torture ends soon, that they can just get to the workout, and Eddie can go back to pretending he doesn't want to ride Steve until his thighs give out. But Eddie gets no such luck.
Steve has moved into some kind of triangle position, hands on the ground, legs straight, and of fucking course, his ass in the air. Eddie marvels at how straight the shape is, only for a moment, because then Steve is lifting his heels up and down in turn, and jesus christ those tiny little shorts are just riding up, and Eddie can see a hint of Steve's ass peeking out. His jaw drops. He may actually explode.
Just when Eddie's thinking he can't take much more of this, Steve lowers himself down, knees spread wide, arms stretched out in front of him and head tucked down. A wild and rushed series of thoughts fly across Eddie's mind, all centred around Steve kneeling down in front of him. Eddie needs to get it together quickly.
As Steve brings himself back up to the triangle position, walking his feet to meet his hands and rolling his spine up, shoulders and head rolling back last, he sees Eddie taking off for his warmup jog. Assuming that he probably just took too long with his new warmup, Steve shrugs it off and starts his jog shortly after.
Eddie hits his personal best in several weights that day, desperately trying to expend his excess energy in some way. He barely registers the wins, mind still stuck on Steve and his perfect ass in all those new positions. He almost dissolves on the spot when Steve claps him on the shoulder in congratuations.
At the end of their session, Eddie takes a freezing cold shower and prays for the sweet release of death.

Every day is leg day
Sambucky ficlet || ~1200 words || rated M-ish (Complete ficlet under the cut, or read on AO3.)
Bucky is by far the best bench spotter Sam’s ever had. He always has time to spare (seeing as he doesn’t actually have to work out himself), he knows the difference between being motivational and being mean (and toes the line expertly), and in a pinch he can snatch a three hundred pound bar up in the blink of an eye one-handed (while scrolling idly on his phone with the other).
Bucky is also by far the worst bench spotter Sam’s ever had, because it means having his face inches away from Bucky’s junk for minutes at a time, making it damn near impossible to focus on the task at hand.
This becomes painfully evident when he loses himself in the way he can just about make out the shape of Bucky through the loose shorts, gets distracted to the point where he forgets all about positioning and suddenly finds himself straining up from the bench. He checks himself, feels the bar slip for a fraction of a second, and then Bucky’s there to take the weight of it as easily as if it were a bamboo stick.
“You asleep Wilson?” Bucky asks, putting the bar back down on the rack. “Ass against the bench, this ain’t an aerobics class.”
“Maybe my ass is sore, Bucky,” Sam says. “And oh, gee, I wonder whose fault that is.”
Bucky grins down at him; he’s probably thinking about what they did last night, so now of course Sam’s thinking about it. About that, and about every other night this week. And this morning. And, like, half an hour ago in the locker room.
“Didn’t hear you complaining yesterday,” Bucky says, confirming Sam’s suspicions.
“Is that right?" Sam says, feigning surprise. "No, I reckon you just couldn’t hear me on account of you being loud enough to trigger the external alarm, waking up the whole damn compound. I guess they were already awake, actually.”
Bucky’s grin widens, and Sam smiles back at Bucky for a moment, until he suddenly notices–not a noise, but rather the absence of one. He frowns, and Bucky does too, and as one, they turn their heads to look at Yelena, who’s sitting on a now-idle rowing machine, face in hand, gazing back at them.
“No, no, don’t let me interrupt you,” she says, waving dismissively. “You’re both so sweet. So sweet. This is like eating caramel. You’ll give me a toothache, you know.”
“How long have you been listening in on this very private conversation?” Sam asks, sitting up.
“The gym is for everyone, no?” Yelena says innocently. “Or do you need to be ‘a real Avenger’,” she goes on in a mocking voice, scratching the inverted commas into the air.
“Why are you even here?” Bucky asks bluntly. “Shouldn’t you be on your way to Belgrade?”
“So rude, Barnes,” Yelena tuts. “The baby bird promised me a ride, so I’m waiting,” she says, shrugging.
“Eavesdropping is rude,” Bucky says. He pats Sam on the shoulder. “Come on, time to crush that leg press record. On the other side of the room,” he adds loudly.
“Waiting for a ride my ass,” Bucky mutters when they get out of earshot. “Bet you anything she’s been spying on us from day one.”
“She is Natasha’s sister,” Sam says, and no, it wouldn’t surprise him either, but it’s not like she didn’t already know he and Bucky were sleeping together. Often and loudly. “Ride your ass, huh,” he says then, reaching over to slap Bucky’s backside.
“Any time you like, sugar.”
“I know something else I could ride,” Sam says.
Bucky freezes mid-step at that. “Wanna get out of here?” he asks.
“No skipping leg day, you know that,” Sam says calmly.
“Every day is leg day to you,” Bucky complains.
“Rome wasn’t built in a day, Bucky, and neither were these,” Sam says, motioning at his thighs.
Bucky mutters something about Sam holding out on him, then proceeds to put Sam through the most punishing routine in weeks, pushing him to break that leg press record by almost fifty pounds, piles on weights on the leg curl machine until Sam’s calves are aching, then taunts him into doing squats until he collapses on a yoga mat, thighs burning so bad they almost feel cold.
“Fuck me,” he groans.
“I’ve been trying to,” Bucky says, sitting down next to him.
“Yeah, about that,” Sam begins, but is interrupted by Torres walking in through the door and up to them.
“Have you guys seen Belova?” he asks. “She asked me to meet her here.”
Sam looks around–he hadn’t noticed Yelena leaving.
“She was here earlier,” he says. “She probably hit the showers.”
“Oh,” Torres says. The single syllable somehow manages to suggest that he’s now contemplating that statement in great detail. Then he shakes his head briefly and looks down at Sam and Bucky again. “Good sesh?” he asks.
“Crushed a pb or two,” Bucky says. “Sam benched three hundred pounds.”
“Nice,” Joaquín says, eyebrows flying up.
“Gonna regret it in the morning,” Sam says, elbowing himself up from the mat to sit up properly.
“How much do you bench, Barnes?” Torres asks then. “I mean, it’s gotta be–”
“Don’t know, don’t care,” Bucky cuts him off.
“What, you mean you’ve never tried? Like, never tested the limits?”
“Nope.”
“Are you serious?”
Bucky rolls his eyes, but Torres seems to take no notice.
“Okay,” he goes on, “but would you reckon it’s more like a thousand pounds or two thousand, or… I mean, A car? Could you bench a car? Have you ever lifted a car?”
“Joaquín, shut the hell up or I’ll bench you. From the next mission.”
For a second, Joaquín looks genuinely terrified, and Sam bumps his elbow into Bucky’s side.
“First off, that’s not your call, Buck,” he says, then turns to Torres. “Secondly, he can bench me and that’s all that really matters.”
“Damn straight,” Bucky says, leaning over to drag his teeth playfully across Sam’s shoulder.
“Oh my god,” Torres says, and turns on his heel to flee the scene.
“Thought he’d never leave,” Bucky murmurs, kissing his way down Sam’s arm.
“We’re still in the gym, Bucky,” Sam points out.
“So what.”
“Other people are free to come and go.”
“At their peril,” Bucky says, and as if to drive home his point, he puts two fingers on Sam’s jaw, turning Sam’s face towards him and leans in for a proper kiss, one that definitely makes Sam want to give up on leg presses and move on to more, well, pressing matters.
“You’re a menace,” Sam says, putting a stern finger across Bucky’s lips. “And we should continue this conversation upstairs.”
“Yeah we should,” Bucky says, then grabs Sam’s thigh and squeezes it gently. “And you promised you’d ride me, don’t think I forgot.”
Sam winces, Bucky’s grip making his muscles burn all over again, as soft as it is. “I don’t know, babe,” he says, apologetic. “My legs are actually honest-to-god killing me.”
Bucky stands up and pulls Sam to his feet, smiling briefly at how Sam’s legs tremble a little. “Sweetheart, I can probably hip thrust as much as I bench,” he says. “I promise, you won’t have to move a muscle.”

got tagged in a little WIP thing by @stormbeyondreality. sadly don’t have anything for my main fic but i do have a little something me and @i-am-a-lesbigwen have been fooling around with for wenclair.
Each day that passes without Wednesday extending The Invite, House moves the extra place setting an inch closer to her. It’s gotten to the point Wednesday can only reach her own chair from the left side. The chairs can’t get any closer without fusing together at the seams, and frankly, House should have known that turning her chair into a bench would not be persuasive enough to overrule her obstinance. If anything, she’s tempted to see how far House will go; if in a week from now the chairs will simply be superimposed on top of each other like two competing realities vying to become the successor to Schrödinger.
In the end, her Herculean stubbornness amounts to nothing while her brother exists and still, unfortunately, has all his fingers. (An oversight she intends to correct, as soon as she catches him—)
He does, however, have fourteen years of practice in avoiding her wrath, and so by the time she has strung him from the rafters and decided to put him to use as a piñata, that is the exact time when her father enters the room with the bane of her existence in tow.
Enid is not an Addams, no matter what House or her mother or father or brother or anyone wants to think, and so when she enters a room to find Pugsley hung upside down, Wednesday beneath him with a fencing saber in one hand and the rope in the other, there is only one appropriate response.
“Wednesday!” Enid exclaims, not unlike one might chastise a dog for relieving itself in the house. Not unlike how she had huffed out Wednesday’s name about apologizing to Thing, or moving the murder board in their room, or—
It doesn’t make Wednesday drop her saber and stand at attention like a scolded child. It does, however, make her release the rope, and she takes a not insignificant amount of pleasure in the sound of Pugsley’s thick skull introducing itself to the floor at near-terminal velocity.
“Ow,” Pugsley says, both infuriatingly intact and still in possession of all his faculties.
Wednesday sighs. He could have at least had the decency to be paralyzed.
Enid takes a step closer to her, arms extending, eyes twinkling, mouth curling into that maddeningly familiar grin—
Wednesday looks at Pugsley on the ground, and wonders if she can perform a lobotomy through the ear canal. Perhaps she’ll be the first. She shifts her grip on the saber in her hand, tilting her head in consideration at the best angle of entry, and that’s when Enid’s hand clamps around her wrist like a vice grip.
“Wednesday,” she scolds - again - and now her eyes are narrowed and accusatory and far too knowing about the direction of Wednesday’s thoughts. No one knows Wednesday that well. Certainly not Enid. “Drop it.”
Wednesday glares at her. If she’s not going to be ordered around by a House older than the Declaration of Independence, she’s certainly not going to be ordered around by a blonde werewolf dressed in enough neon active wear to look like she’d just walked off the set of an aerobics exercise video.
Enid must see the tell of her non-compliance somewhere in her person, for the next thing Wednesday knows, she’s being lifted, carted several long strides away, and set down again well out of saber-reach of her brother and his regretfully un-punctured ear canals.
It takes her just long enough to process the fact that she’s simply been removed from the situation like a particularly ornery cat that Enid manages to use that delay to wrap her arms around Wednesday and squeeze hard enough to realign her lower spine.
It’s not a hug. Enid must simply know that restraint is necessary to prevent Wednesday from committing a murder. Or several. Starting with her brother and ending with anyone who’s witnessed her being manhandled by the living equivalent of Barbie.
She’ll let Enid live, of course. Only because living with the consequences of her actions would be far more torturous than dying at Wednesday’s hands. That’s the only reason to spare her. Obviously.
Pugsley, of course, but also her father for the way he keeps beaming at her from over Enid’s shoulder, hand over his heart like he’s watching a telenovela play out right in front of his eyes.
“Thank you for inviting me!” Enid says, directly into Wednesday’s ear, and someone is going to pay.
Lobotomy for Pugsley. Perhaps the Iron Maiden for her father. He could stand to lose a bit of weight. A month should teach him the error of his ways.
“I didn’t invite you. Go home.”
Enid releases her at once, eyes wide and wet and mouth open and Wednesday hates it. Not because Enid looks like she’s going to cry, but because it’s an awfully stupid-looking expression. It must remind her of Pugsley, is all, and she’s never enjoyed his sniveling.
“That was me,” Pugsley groans, raising a hand weakly from his position on the floor. Wednesday checks the clock. Three minutes and thirty-seven seconds to free a single hand? Pugsley has clearly been slacking in her absence.
Enid looks between them, brows furrowing. “Is that why you’re trying to kill him?”
“No,” Wednesday lies.
“Yes,” Puglsey truths, at the exact same moment.
Wednesday cannot reach him, but that doesn’t stop her from throwing her saber at his face like a javelin. Unfortunately, a fencing saber is not particularly aerodynamic, and instead of piercing through an eye like she’d planned, the flimsy thing flips end over end until it’s the hand guard that plows into his left eye instead of the foil.
Well. At least he’ll have a black eye. It’s been too long since she’s given him such a rudimentary injury. Perhaps she’ll give him another to match, once she can get away with it.
Not that she’s worried about the disapproving look Enid is giving her. It’s just too much trouble to try and overpower a werewolf, is all, and Enid would definitely stop her if she tried to do it now.

Kisses Taste Like Candy
Tumblr media
Part 2
again I don't live in Ireland or even pretend to.
I have also posted this on AO3 I posted this part there first.
Orla McCool x Michelle Mallon
“It isn’t forever it’s just until we all go back to school.” I said.
“You aren’t going back Michelle, you’ll still see Orla.” He pointed out.
“No I won’t. She and I don’t run in the same circles when the other girls aren’t here, she’s got dance class and the shelter, then she also teaches step aerobics at the gym.” I said countering him.
“Derry isn’t that massive, you are bound to run into each other sometime, and besides Orla didn’t seem too bothered by it when it happened, I think you’ve just worked yourself up about the whole thing.” James said.
“I’m not gonna explain it to you again. There are rules between friends and especially with Orla.” I said with my arms crossed. We heard the girls laughing through the open window.
“She’s not a child Michelle, she’s actually really smart I know her general attitude and taking every joke seriously can be misleading but she understands feelings and what stuff like that means. Talk to her or I’ll tell them all you lied.” He threatened before walking out of my bedroom and down the stairs. I sighed and laid down in my bed, falling asleep instantly. When I woke up it had only been 30 minutes, stupid dreams. I needed to get out of the house. I put some pants on and a sweatshirt before leaving the house. I was mostly wandering but didn’t realize I was walking to Erin’s house until I was already knocking on the door.
“Michelle? The girls aren’t here? Shouldn’t you be with them actually?” Gerry asked answering the door.
“I wasn’t feeling too well so I stayed behind, is Mary home?” I asked. He looked confused at first.
“Come on in.” He said inviting me in the house.
“Mary’s in the kitchen.” He said. I nodded and made my way into their kitchen.
“Michelle? I thought you’d be with the others.” She smiled before looking at me fully. Once she saw me it’s as if she could sense everything that I’ve been thinking and going through in the past week.
“Have a seat love, I’ll put the kettle on and you can tell me why you look like you’ve been crying for a week straight.” She said with a polite smile. I noticed Gerry had sat down in the living room but still close enough to provide help if needed. Once she set the kettle on the stove she sat down next to me at the kitchen table and put her hand on mine. The floodgates opened once again. After several minutes I finally calmed down and the kettle screamed.
“I’ll get it you two talk.” Gerry said standing up.
“What’s happened?” She asked me rubbing my back lightly as I calmed down.
“So you know how Claire is a wee lesbian?” I asked.
“Yes.” She replied.
“Well when I went to university I wanted to see what all the fuss was about.” I said remembering the first time I had been with a girl it had actually been my first time all together.
“Keep going.” She said when she noticed Gerry had started to whistle in case he heard something private that someone’s father shouldn’t hear.
“I liked it a little more than I thought I would, I still like the fellas but I would say the girls are pretty equal.” I said as I took deep breaths.
“There’s nothing wrong with that, if I’ve learned anything it’s that it doesn’t matter, as long as you are happy.” She said giving me a proud smile. I took a deep breath.
“The other night Jenny Joyce had a party and she suggested we play spin the bottle like she could smell the lesbian on me and round after round I was safe until it was my turn, I had hoped it’d land on one of the random dudes that Jenny had invited but it didn’t.” I said speaking faster.
“It landed on Orla?” She asked.
“I tried to skip her Mary I really did but you see this ballbag was sitting next to me and the rules were that the person next to you had to kiss the person instead and he was honestly really creepy and I didn’t want him anywhere near Orla.” I said explaining myself once again.
“Michelle breathe.” She said. I took another deep breath.
“Erin explained everything that happened Michelle.” Mary said.
“She doesn’t know everything Mary, she doesn’t know what I thought in my head. She doesn’t know what I did.” I said with tears still in my eyes.
“I basically assaulted her!” I yelled.
“Ach you did not!” She shook her head.
“I did, I had my tongue in her mouth Mary, she wasn’t even paying attention when the rules of the game were being said, I’m sure she didn’t even know what we were gonna do. I don’t think she was expecting me to shove my tongue down her throat either. She is traumatized I’m sure.” I said as the panic began to bubble once again.
“Why don’t you drink your tea and breathe.” She said. I took a sip of the hot liquid and tried to calm myself. After about 10 minutes Mary excused herself and I sat at the table by myself for a minute. Gerry approached me.
“I know I’m just Erin’s da but can I put my thoughts out there?” He asked. I nodded.
“Orla’s is an amazing lady. All you wains are incredible but her heart is massive, I think you need to talk to her and explain everything I know that sounds hard but I’d hate to see you avoid your friends because you are afraid you’ve hurt them in some way.” He said with a smile. He patted my shoulder and walked away. I was so lost in my own thoughts I didn’t hear Erin and Orla walk in.
“Michelle? I thought you were sick!” Orla gasped.
“Obviously she’s not Orla.” Erin rolled her eyes and sighed.
“I should go.” I said.
“Hold up a minute, you two need to talk and neither of yous are allowed to leave this kitchen until you’ve talked.” Mary said shooing Erin out of the kitchen. Gerry followed his daughter. Orla looked confused.
“Do you need me to stay?” Mary asked. I shook my head.
“What are you on about Aunt Mary?” Orla asked as she sat down and pulled candy out of her pocket.
“Michelle here came over to speak to you Orla dear.” She replied. Orla shrugged but sat back in the kitchen chair as she sucked on a Lolly. Once Mary had left the room I took a deep breath.
“So what did you eat?” Orla asked.
“What?” I asked confused.
“To get sick? The last time I got sick I had Finnoulas, it was hard to go back.” She sighed.
“I wasn’t sick.” I said ashamed.
“Why would you lie?” She asked genuinely.
“I was avoiding you, all of you.” I said not bothering to sugar coat it, that wouldn’t be fair to Orla.
“What did we do? Was it Erin? I know she can be a bit much sometimes but she means well.” She said leaning forward placing the sucker on the table. I stood up and grabbed a small plate from the cabinet to set the candy on so Mary’s table doesn’t get ruined. I picked up the cherry flavored confection and placed it on the plate before sitting back down.
“No it wasn’t Erin.” I said. I should just spit it out but I found it hard to find the words.
“Was it me? Listen, I know sometimes I take things a bit too literal and get confused about little things but I promise I’m trying to get better, Ma’s got me in these classes and working with the animals helps a bit.” She said. The sound of tears in her throat broke my heart. I moved to sit next to her and placed my hand over her hand much like Mary had earlier.
“It wasn’t any of you Orla, it was me. I did something bad.” I said.
“What did you do? Is it worse than stealing the board from the chippy? Or when you brought a suitcase full of vodka on the bus to Belfast?” She gasped. I shook my head at the memories.
“I kissed you.” I said pulling my hand back away.
“Och Michelle that’s not a crime.” She smiled.
“What?” I asked in disbelief.
“It isn’t illegal to play tongue tag with your friend, at least as far as I know.” She said grabbing the sucker once more and placing it in her mouth.
“It’s tonsil tag Orla.” I said trying not to laugh at her.
“But I haven’t got my tonsils.” She said. I shook my head.
“I know I’m just saying I went further than the game is intended to go and I’m sorry.” I said.
“No need to be sorry Michelle.” She said shrugging.
“Im sorry what?” I asked confused.
“I didn’t mind, at first it was different, I’ve never felt the texture of someone else’s tongue, only my own when I curl my tongue at the kittens at the shelter, but once I got used to that and the taste of tequila on your tongue it wasn’t horrible” she said. I was at a loss for words.
“I also had to get used to the smell of your hair, there was so many textures, smells, and tastes all at once my brain got a bit fuzzy but once I focused on the pressure of your hand on my face it was fine.” She smiled while pulling the sucker out of her mouth.
“So you aren’t traumatized by the fact that I kissed you?” I asked.
“No. Are you?” She asked.
“No, actually I liked it, a lot. I didn’t know cotton candy lip gloss could be so addicting.” I blushed.
“I am not allowed to eat it anymore Aunt Mary had a whole fit about it when she found out.” She said. After another silent minute she spoke again.
“That was my first time kissing someone, and it was more fun than I expected. I have been thinking about it a lot. Erin writes about kissing in her diary and I have been trying to compare but I can’t quite remember all of the details it happened so fast.” She scrunched her nose.
“I panicked, the alcohol and everything went straight to my head and I thought you hadn’t kissed back because you were uncomfortable.” I explained.
“So you ran and hid because you thought you hurt me?” She asked.
“Yes and no, at first I did run because I thought I hurt ye but I stayed away because of how kissing you made me feel.” I said.
“And how does it make you feel?” She asked still sucking on the sucker.
“It happened so fast I can’t be sure.” I lied. I knew exactly how I feel, I always had a soft spot for Orla but it changed into something else entirely when I came back to Derry, I looked at her differently than before and even at the party I couldn’t keep my eyes off of her. All of the sudden my thoughts were interrupted by lips crashing into mine. My eyes were still open, shock painted in them until I felt Orla’s hand caress my cheek and my eyes closed in contentment. She brought her hand down to my neck where she placed her thumb just below my chin and her fingers had intertwined in the hair at the nape of my neck. I opened my mouth a little as she nudged my chin up with her thumb and she took this as permission to let her tongue in. She mimicked what I did at Jenny Joyce’s party only this time there was no alcohol on either of our tongues only the taste of the cherry sucker which is now my new favorite flavor. Mary cleared her throat from the living room and I pulled away reluctantly. Orla kept her hand in place and put her forehead on mine breathing in and out against my face as she tried to catch her breath.
“You alright Orla?” I asked.
“Just trying to get my brain to float back into my head, are you alright Michelle?” She asked as she pulled away to look at me clearly, her brown eyes studying every bit of my face.
“Never been better.” I said.
“Did that clear up your feelings at all?” She asked. I nodded as she stuck the sucker back into her mouth. I teasingly grabbed the stick and pulled it out of her mouth before shoving it in mine with a smirk.
“So it did, how about you?” I asked.
“Kissing you is the best thing I’ve ever done.” She said. I blushed.
“I’d have to agree. Would you like to do it again sometime?” I asked flirtatiously.
“I’d like to do it all the time.” She said seriously.
“Well not in my kitchen girls, have some dignity.” Erin yelled.
“Gerry will you give Michelle a ride home?” Mary asked.
“Of course, let’s go.” He said grabbing his coat.
“Can i ride along?” Orla asked.
“I don’t see why not.” He said. Orla stood up and set the cherry sucker back onto the table and grabbed my hand as we left Erin’s house feeling lighter.

I ran through the woods. I strained, running near the edge of my aerobic ability, but careful not to go over the threshold as i had many miles to go before reaching my destination. The trees seemed to both take forever to pass but also whip up in front of me suddenly and try to trip me in their roots.
I had to keep my footing or the miles i saved cutting cross country would be lost to a twisted foot and a hobbled gate. Stopping wasn't an option. My message was needed, my news would save lives, if it got there in time.
As the miles passed my endurance faded like morning dew before the heat of the day. Sooner than I thought I fell into the messenger's gaitb 100 paces running, 100 paces walking. Too slow I knew but it was the best I could do now. If i had feathered my pace earlier I might be out of these blasted trees already and into the open heather of the upper moors.
On through the trees I ran, down hills, over creeks and streams, up banks but still my progress waned. The counting pace seemed to rule my whole body, step, heart beat, thought all striking at once on the 100 pace count. Soon my thoughts had spiraled into a singular point, the burning need to ARRIVE. Nothing else.
Suddenly hands grabbed me. Voices. I needed to speak but my throat was dry. Water splashed over my face, down my throat. I coughed and sputtered as I breathed in, my lungs still captive to their internal metronome.
"Speak! What's your message?" A rough voice demanded.
"You've Gotta give!" I screamed to the skies

The good:
• almost managed a couple of scratch spins.i am clawing back stability slowly
•i manage something resembling a running edge on my left back outside 3 turn more than once. It's no where near stable but I'll take it. Now to drag the other three 3 turns with it...

The bad:
•ina baure and spread eagles are not improving at any noticeable rate and I am annoyed
• i twanged my knee while running in the dojo Tuesday night. So I have been in pain for the past 3 days, making it had to bend.
• my hips are also stiff and sore. And my lower back...
• my favourite fingerless gloves fell out if my pocket at the train station
•left forward inside 3 turn likes to spontaneously not work. After being rather okay last week it has de-evolved today and tried to kill me at least once.
• I hate forward inside Mohawks/ c-step. Ugly nasty little spitefully things they are...
The dumb

In today’s fast-paced world, maintaining optimal health requires a multifaceted approach that addresses both physical and mental well-being. Balancing fat loss with the management of anxiety can seem daunting, but with the right strategies and support, it’s entirely achievable. This article will explore effective methods for fat loss, recognize anxiety attack symptoms, understand anxiety disorders, and provide comprehensive insights into managing anxiety through various treatments and therapies.
Effective Fat Loss Strategies
Embarking on a journey towards fat loss involves a combination of proper diet, exercise, and lifestyle adjustments. The key to sustainable weight loss is consistency and adopting a holistic approach.
Best Exercise to Lose Weight
Exercise is a cornerstone of any fat loss program. The best exercise to lose weight includes a mix of cardio and strength training. High-intensity interval training (HIIT) is particularly effective due to its ability to burn calories quickly and boost metabolism. Incorporating weightlifting can help build muscle, which in turn increases resting metabolic rate.
Best Foods for Weight Loss
Nutrition plays a crucial role in fat loss. The best foods for weight loss are those that are nutrient-dense and low in calories. Incorporating lean proteins, such as chicken and fish, can help in maintaining muscle mass while losing fat. Additionally, foods rich in fiber, like vegetables, fruits, and whole grains, aid in digestion and keep you full longer. Healthy fats from sources like avocados and nuts are also essential for satiety and overall health.
Best Way to Lose Belly Fat
Belly fat can be particularly stubborn. The best way to lose belly fat involves a combination of diet, exercise, and stress management. Reducing refined carbs and sugars, incorporating aerobic exercises like running or swimming, and practicing mindfulness techniques can significantly contribute to belly fat reduction.

Setting realistic goals, staying hydrated, getting adequate sleep, and managing stress are all critical components. Consulting a healthcare professional can provide personalized guidance tailored to your individual needs.
Best Weight Loss Program
Choosing the best weight loss program depends on personal preferences, lifestyle, and specific health conditions. Programs like Weight Watchers, Noom, and the Mediterranean diet have shown effectiveness for many people. These programs typically offer structured plans, community support, and tools to track progress.
Understanding and Managing Anxiety
Anxiety is a common mental health issue that can significantly impact daily life. Recognizing anxiety attack symptoms and understanding the various types of anxiety disorders are crucial first steps in managing anxiety effectively.
Anxiety Attack Symptoms
Anxiety attack symptoms can be intense and overwhelming. Common symptoms include rapid heartbeat, sweating, trembling, shortness of breath, and a sense of impending doom. These symptoms can mimic those of other medical conditions, making it important to seek professional evaluation.
Anxiety Disorder
Anxiety disorders encompass a range of conditions characterized by excessive fear or worry. Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, and specific phobias are some of the most common types. Each disorder has unique features, but all can significantly impact quality of life.
Anxiety Symptoms
Anxiety symptoms can vary widely but often include persistent worry, restlessness, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, irritability, muscle tension, and sleep disturbances. Recognizing these symptoms early can lead to more effective treatment and management.
Seeking Professional Help
Professional support is essential for effectively managing anxiety. Finding the right therapist or treatment can make a significant difference.
Anxiety Therapist Near Me
Searching for an "anxiety therapist near me" can yield various local options for professional support. Therapists specialize in different modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which is particularly effective for anxiety disorders. Finding a therapist who you feel comfortable with is crucial for successful treatment.
Anxiety Treatment
Anxiety treatment often involves a combination of therapy, medication, and lifestyle changes. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is highly effective, helping individuals identify and change negative thought patterns. Medications, such as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) and beta blockers for anxiety, can also be prescribed to help manage symptoms.
Behavioral Health Near Me
Accessing "behavioral health near me" services can provide comprehensive care that addresses both mental and physical health. These services often include a range of therapies, support groups, and educational resources to help manage anxiety and improve overall well-being.
Medication for Anxiety and Depression
Medication can be a critical component of treatment for anxiety and depression. Understanding the options and finding the best antidepressant for anxiety and depression is essential.
Best Antidepressant
The best antidepressant varies depending on individual needs and responses. SSRIs like sertraline and fluoxetine are commonly prescribed due to their effectiveness and relatively mild side effect profile. Other options include serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs) and atypical antidepressants.
Best Antidepressant for Anxiety and Depression
For those experiencing both anxiety and depression, the best antidepressant for anxiety and depression might be a dual-acting medication like an SSRI or an SNRI. These medications help by balancing neurotransmitters in the brain, reducing symptoms of both conditions. Consulting with a psychiatrist can help determine the most appropriate medication based on individual symptoms and medical history.
Integrating Mental and Physical Health
Optimal health is achieved by integrating both mental and physical well-being. Addressing anxiety and pursuing fat loss should be viewed as complementary processes.
Best Way to Integrate
Holistic Approach: Adopting a holistic approach that considers both mental and physical health can lead to more sustainable results.
Regular Exercise: Incorporating the best exercise to lose weight into your routine can improve both physical health and reduce anxiety symptoms.
Balanced Nutrition: Consuming the best foods for weight loss can also positively impact mood and energy levels.

Routine and Structure: Creating a structured routine can provide stability, reducing anxiety symptoms and supporting consistent fat loss efforts.
Support Networks: Engaging with support groups or a community of like-minded individuals can provide encouragement and accountability.

What is Aerobics?
Aerobics is a form of physical exercise that combines rhythmic aerobic movement with stretching and strength training routines. It's typically performed to music in a group setting led by an instructor. The goal of aerobics is to improve all elements of fitness, including cardiovascular health, muscular strength, and flexibility. Imagine it as a dance party with a purpose – every move you make is designed to get your heart pumping and your muscles working.
The Essence of Aerobic Exercise
Aerobic exercise relies on the use of oxygen to meet energy demands during exercise via aerobic metabolism. This type of exercise is perfect for improving your cardiovascular system and can be done in various forms, such as running, cycling, swimming, and, of course, aerobics classes.
Benefits of Aerobics
Cardiovascular Health
One of the primary benefits of aerobics is its ability to boost heart health. By consistently participating in aerobic exercises, you're improving the efficiency of your heart and lungs. This can lead to a reduced risk of heart disease, lower blood pressure, and better cholesterol levels.

Different Types of Aerobics
Low-Impact Aerobics
Perfect for beginners or those with joint issues, low-impact aerobics involves movements that keep one foot on the ground at all times. This reduces the stress on your joints while still providing a good workout.

For those looking for a more intense workout, high-impact aerobics includes activities where both feet leave the ground simultaneously, like jumping jacks or running in place. These exercises can significantly increase your heart rate and calorie burn.
Step Aerobics
Using a platform or step, this form of aerobics adds an extra challenge to your workout. The step can vary in height, and routines often involve stepping up and down in various patterns, which is great for targeting your lower body muscles.
Dance Aerobics
Combining dance moves with traditional aerobic exercises, this type makes working out feel like a party. Zumba is a popular example, blending Latin dance styles with aerobics to create a fun, energetic workout.

Okay, so, I don’t know if it’s because I’m a kid from the 80s or what, but I’m very susceptible to advertising. I’m currently working on stopping my impulse buying, but, before I got it under control I purchased an infinity-hoop.
First, be aware, it ships from China and takes a while to get to you. Long enough to regret your purchase.
Second, when you get it there are no instructions to put it together or take it apart. Once you figure it out, it’s east, but it takes some intuiting. Helpful hint, bend the regular links opposite of the direction the hoop goes like you are breaking a breadstick in half and they pop right apart.
Third, I almost bought an imitation version on Amazon, then saw a video telling me all the reasons not to. Go ahead and buy another brand. Nothing special here.
Fourth, you have to work at how to make it go when you first start. I never could hula hoop so I don’t know if that helps or not.
Finally, prepare to be bruised. The weighed part that spins around hit me in the back, boob, elbow and thigh multiple times. Exercise or self-flagellation? Hard to say.
Hey, I know this is just another way to get me to move for 30 minutes a day. I have a treadmill, a beautiful area to walk outside, gyms near me, an aerobic step - I’m just trying to find something my fat butt will use. So…
Positive: Getting it to work took some concentration, so a half hour flew by. That will probably go away in time. It’s easy to do while watching TV. No need for an exercise video or to make sure you aren’t falling off a treadmill. Maybe that last one is just me. If TV isn’t your thing, pick your own music or entertainment. I did get the belt with mine which did help.
Negative: I spent way too much money even after I found a 50% off code. I wish I’d gotten one from another source that was less expensive. That weighted thing really hurts when it hits. It teaches you to keep your arms up pretty quickly once it flys up and smacks you in the elbow. It’s not a quick easy this-works-better-than-any-other-option fix. Did I think it would be? No. But there are a lot of people on social media making it seem like it is. Why? Immediately after getting you hoop you get an affiliate link that allows you to sign up to earn money off of the other people you convince to buy it. It’s a good way to advertise, I mean, it worked on me.
I’m gonna give the 30 day challenge a try. It is still exercise, so, maybe some weight loss will come out of it. If things change, I’ll let y’all know. But I doubt it will.

Your body weight, the intensity of your workout, and the length of time you devote to it all affect the number of calories you burn. Between 400 and 600 calories can be burned in one hour of Zumba.
Zumba is a full-body workout since it uses many different muscle groups. The dancing routines provide a full-body workout by incorporating exercises that strengthen the abdominals, legs, arms, and glutes. The alarm went off, the familiar grating of too-early-in-the-fucking morning harsh buzz of many alarm clocks. Except this time, it came from the phone of one of the MizFists members, set at eight-thirty at night. An alarm to get the hip-hop crew to keep to their agreement: that they would stop all the goddamn overnight work and learn to step away from the desk. No more sleeping in the studio in the near future.
As Peter cut off the alarm, the rest rose out of their seats, stretching until backs cracks and blood flowed back to limbs.
"Alright, y'all, let's pick it back up tomorrow," Mike said through a long yawn. He rolled his shoulders and rubbed his neck, looking around at everyone. He clapped his hands and grinned. "Who's up for some drinks?"
Though tired, the MizFists let out a cheer, all except Peter. who said:
"No thanks. I'm going to have to pass."
"You sure, man?" Adel said as he shut off his laptop. "There are a few bars here that have nonalcoholic stuff."
"And I promise you that we won't make you drive us home this time," Mike joked. "Nothing but Uber or Lyft for us!"
Peter rolled his eyes and shook his head, grinning. "Thank you so much for being so considerate." He turned to a fresh page in his journal. "But for real, I can't come. I want to finish this song while I'm still feeling the lyrics, you know? And then, I'm going to Sheer's place to see Sadaf, crack open this new baby aerobics DVD I found for her."
Tommy paused in the middle of tugging his jacket on. "Baby aerobics? That's a thing?" he mumbled mostly to himself.
"Yeah. Sadaf may be too young and small for it, but it wouldn't hurt to give it a try." Peter beamed brightly. "Besides, it'd make for great father-daughter time!"
"You sure?" Mike scowled with a cocked brow. "You haven't been going out much, lately. Don't you think you need a break?"
"What? What're you talking about?" Peter set his pen down on the journal. "I went to that party last week at Acid Rain's house."
"That doesn't count, we spent the entire time networking!"
"Look, Mike... you guys!" Peter waved them off. "I'll take a break soon, okay? I'll even go to the bar with y'all tomorrow, or something. Is that good?"
Mike reached up to rub his brow. "Ya sure, man?"
"Yeah, I'm sure! I'll clean and close up." Peter picked up his pen. "You guys have fun!"
Mike looked over his shoulders, meeting the stares of the rest of the crew; Tarsha shrugged. "...Alright, Pete. We'll see you tomorrow, then."
"'Night!" Peter called out without looking up from his journal, listening to the shuffle of feet and the click of the door closing.

After an ill-decision made of having coffee in the dead of night, Peter was in the kitchen washing out the equipment and dishes he used for his drink. He was scrubbing the metal mesh filter when his phone buzzed. Drying his hands, Peter tapped the message open.
[Mike] ayyo man, you still at the studio?
[Mike] listem if yourr nit busy
[Mike] okay wewere talkin aboutt you an d the othhhers didnt want me too say anyting but
God damn, dude is drunk off his ass, Peter thought with a headache.
[Mike] we notcieds that you've been alll aboutt your kid alot. an thats good! its real good, andd youre doon a good job but
[Mike] dont let being a dad be the only thin going in youer life
[Mike] you need some time foor yoursel, and to be shellfish every once in a while
[Mike] *selfish whoops
[Mike] but anywas, trust me as a fellloww father, Peter: dont let yoursefl fall to gthe wayside. that aint good fo r you er Sadaf.
Peter picked up the phone, eyeing the screen as he turned and sat back against the counter. This wasn't true, was it, Peter getting so wrapped up with Sadaf that he was losing himself? He couldn't be, though; he'd taken plenty of breaks by visiting his family...
...So he could tell them about Sadaf,
But he had also visited the bookstore quite a bit...
... Looking for sensory-training picture books for Sadaf.
Peter bit into his bottom lip, tapping his foot on the tiled floor. Wow, maybe they're right...
