Merry Christmas #fragfam #fragrancereview ~ Panthea Iris by Stephane Humbert Lucas 777 {2019} My third from the house of @stephanehumbertlucas but certainly not my last. A house known for its expert use of the note, Iris due to its significance in Greek mythology where Iris was the messenger of the Gods and bearer of good news through rainbows. Panthea Iris is characterized by the use of Iris Absolute, one of the most previous and expensive ingredients in perfumery. Iris is a note I have slowly come to admire and while it's not my favorite note, it is certainly one I jave immense respect for due to its pivotal use in many of my best quality fragrances. For me, the opening to this elegant fragrance had almost no citrus notes but rather a soft tea accord with hints of sweet berries. This graceful start gives way to a powdery Iris heart tinged with Violet and Jasmine floral notes. The Iris note is dominant and intense with powerful sillage but then slowly settles into a classy and sensual dry down that is distinguished and luxurious thanks to the sandalwood and white musk notes. Panthea Iris gives off an air of sophistication and would be ideal for classy occasions that require an elegant fragrance to complete the look. Perhaps black tie events or weddings? Let's just say this is for the grown and sexy!
