The Dragonrider The failing health of Queen Talia plunges the realm into chaos and her chosen heir, Princess Laura, finds her claim to the throne challenged by her uncle, Prince Peter, who is acting as regent and is married to Lady Kate of House Argent. Having amassed considerable loyalty and power over the years, Prince Peter and House Argent pose a clear threat to House Hale and the princess's future. Laura's only hope is to send her brother, Prince Derek, to try and convince Lord Noah of House Stilinski, a former rival to House Hale, to pledge allegiance to their cause. House Stilinski has the best dragonriders in the kingdom and without them the Hales wouldn't stand a chance. As Derek begins to try and sway House Stilinski to their cause, he finds the best way to do so might be to win over the young Lord Stiles's favor... and in the process, perhaps also his heart.

Dungeons & Dragons was like that. Forget that half the kids in school probably went around slaying dragons and stashing loot on their PlayStations or iPads. It's different when you actually have to roll the dice. - John David Anderson

Is this a human AU where the boys meet playing D&D? A fantasy AU where Stiles and Derek are the worlds foremost adventurers?

Fantasy stories of distant, magical lands; table top games or roleplaying as adventuring heroes; getting lost in BDSM dungeons with Bad Dragon merchandise. Whatever you associate with dungeons and dragons can be used as inspiration for this theme.

Why the hell does it have to be a Dämonfeuer?

Stiles looked down at his watch, checking the time again, wondering where Derek was. He faintly wondered if he were going to bail on him this time, even though Derek had never left him hanging before when he’d needed his help on a case. His hand moved to his side, feeling the gun holstered beneath his leather jacket, knowing his FBI badge was tucked securely away if he needed it. His eyes scanned the sea of people scattered around him, all of them looking relatively human. Then again, he wouldn't see the Wesen unless they woge, usually caught off by the blackness of his eyes when their nature was reflected in his gaze. It had taken Derek a long time to get used to his Grimm eyes, since he couldn't see the whiskey-amber color of his natural ones. He imagined how difficult that would be, to always see an unending darkness in someone else’s eyes, which said the darkness in your soul was just the same.
