Pyreflies spiralled lazily towards the sky as the dispatched fiend’s form began to dissipate. It hadn’t been a difficult battle, but the fiend had dropped out of nowhere, descending upon the Mi’ihen road - more accurately, what people traveled upon it. One other had stepped up alongside the former guardian to fight as the few others on the road scattered for safety.

Auron flicked ichor from his massive sword and rested the point in the ground as he looked over - up - at the tall spearman who watched the glowing lights rise from what was left of the garuda’s body. “Thanks for the help.”

          The Alethi warcamps on the Shattered Plains were a maze Marasi had not yet figured out how to solve. This was the fourth time she had gotten lost, although this time it was her own damn fault--she’d gotten distracted by the strange little floating organisms that seemed to populate this particular world. 

          Marasi caught sight of a vaguely familiar towering figure passing by and paused--she really needed some acquaintances who were ladies--in the act of flagging him down. Finally, she relented.

          “Kaladin? I’m sorry to bother you, but do you know where I might be able to acquire a new pair of gloves? Mine got torn, and I’m not sure if these are appropriate.” She held her hands out--the gloves were very nice, made entirely of delicate white lace. However, she’d gotten some strange looks walking through the camp. What a bizarre custom.

          “Nice spear. You know, I was killed by one of those once.”

          Arms crossed, sharp, easy smile cutting across his lips, Kelsier finally made his presence known, his voice echoing strangely in the unfamiliar landscape.

🌷 : taking care of living things

he’s not particularly good at this. Plants grow outside, so putting them outside constitutes caring for them in his mind. Animals, he’s a little better with, although any cat or dog of his probably learns to be self-sufficient. (Probably already is self-sufficient; chances are, if Wayne gets a pet, it’s because he brought home a stray.) Food is food- if Wayne can eat it, so can his pet. He lets it go wherever it wants to go (the exception being into a gunfight or the like) and acts more like a friend to it than a caretaker.

Him taking care of children would end up similarly, honestly. He would be a wonderful parent in that his kids would never feel judged or held back by him, and he would be a wonderful (if embarrassing) friend to them. WAYNE WOULD BE SO GOOD AT PLAYING WITH HIS KIDS.On the flipside, however, they’d likely have too much freedom. He would give them too much free reign, and would fail to give them consequences (or rules, for that matter). Beyond the value of life, they wouldn’t learn much of morality or structure from him. They’re definitely alive and having fun, though, and they’re definitely not murderers. So that’s good.

🌲 : surviving in the wilderness

although definitely more capable of this than most, Wayne thrives where there are people to dupe and things to trade. Stranded in the wilderness, he’d certainly survive, but only as long as it took to get to civilization.

passable, though by no means skilled.

🎵 : singing

he’s very good. voice control is an area of expertise for him, after all; though not classically trained or experienced, he’s undoubtedly got an innate talent for it. his natural singing voice is clear and smooth, with an earthy quality to it that gives it an authentic-y vibe.

Headcanons Meme || Not Accepting

Kaladinwins when they spar. Every single time. His advantage in speed far,far outweighs Auron’s, and the training he received from Zahelagainst swordfighters works well in his favor even if the style iscompletely different. Auron defends like nobody’s business, but hisfighting style is definitely geared towards fiends and not human(esque) foes. Also, with such a heavy sword, he relies a lot on momentum,which makes for a laughably easy target for a spear-style fighter.

There’sa lotthesetwo could talk about: honor versus duty, the value of killing toprotect rather than healing to save, but most of all, they can speakon loss,and know that the other bears a wound just as deep as they do, thatthey they speak to someone who understands.Auron’s had ten-plus years to come to terms with Braska’s death,Kaladin with Tien’s far less so - the guardian might have somecoping mechanisms to suggest, or at least offer the voice ofexperience.

Doesnot ‘Iwill protect those who cannot protect themselves.’ soundexactly like an Ideal for Auron? Also, honorspren. Auron would makesuch a Windrunner, okay? Much like Kaladin, he would probably havetrouble coming to terms with the Third Ideal, ‘Iwill protect even those I hate, so long as it is right.’,as he is shown to be capable of both serious hate and of holding ontogrudges for a good, long time, but I think he’d be able to overcomethat in time - and let’s be honest, most of those who’ve trulyearned his hate have well-deserved it.

♖ for a childhood headcanon

If a bully was around, Marasi would be an absolute thorn in their side. At first blush, she seemed like she would be easy to pick on because she was tiny, quiet, and didn’t always fit in perfectly, but she would not hesitate to stand up for the underdog. (And if she was a bit naughty about how she exacted revenge, the blame would always go somewhere else because she was so unassuming.)

☾ for a sleeping headcanon

Transitioning from student life to constable life, Marasi is able to survive on the bare minimum amount of sleep (but bonus points if she’s extremely caffeinated). This is fortunate, because infrequently, she gets bad nightmares (side effect of suddenly having to kill people to save herself/her friends and being held at gun/knifepoint as many times as she has) and can’t sleep afterward.

✻ for if they are a night or day person

Ideally, she’s an early morning person. She likes being up with the sunrise, but being on-call pretty much 24/7 as an analyst means being awake at ungodly hours, which makes getting up early beyond unpleasant.

✈ for a traveling headcanon

Before BoM, Marasi had only traveled a little outside of Elendel for the rare day-trip with her mother. Reading about all the adventures to be had in the Roughs only partially sated her wanderlust, and she loves the idea of travelling to explore new places and discover new things. Unfortunately, circumstance hasn’t made it a very feasible option for her in the past. (Hello Sanderson please give us Worldhopper Marasi i beg you)
