Here's the design for one of my newer OCs, Phlex ("flex" with a "ph")!
She's a Super in Springer's world, and will be making an appearance quite soon in the next episode! She's also got a proper, stylish, elastic super suit, which adheres to her skin so she can feel free to stretch while more or less forgetting it's there. The suit isn't quite as stretchy as she is, but anything stretchier would require technology that doesn't exist yet in her world. It's all fine for Phlex, though, since she gets a flashy look, and gets to show herself off at the same time, which she's all about!
She's also got blonde hair and green eyes, which, combined with her curvy body, makes her improbably stereotypically attractive! She banks on this pretty hard, combining her looks with her slick suit and her elasticity to turn heads and win fans everywhere she goes. She also has a prominent social media presence, sharing some interesting images with her followers, which, despite her unusual traits (or perhaps because of them), rarely disappoint.
She'll be very important in the upcoming story, but I will say no more than that!
Also, I'm trying to simplify my art style from last time. It looked good, but it took way too long. This is much closer to what my upcoming webcomic will look like, so once again, mission accomplished!

The current design for my primary OC, the stretchy, snappy Springer!
So, you know how a lot of superheroes from the 90s had chunky jackets on over their super suits? Well, same thing here, except it's cargo jorts! It's definitely some kind of fashion statement, and it grants Springer the power of Having Pockets! Not quite as useful as Elasticity, but indespensible nonetheless!
Yes, the jorts do get in the way of her stretching in certain ways, but when she doesn't need to get too crazy with it, she understandably likes to keep her essentials with her, like her wallet and phone. Also, denim is almost as tough as her skin, so it's an inexpensive carrying option that can take a beating. Basically, it's a carry-on wrapped around her hips!
The cargo jorts are nice and fancy and all, but sometimes Springer just needs to be able to go wild, and that's when the jorts come off, leaving only her athletic-design elastic suit! Well, also her fingerless gloves, but that's not as important. The gray material is far more extensible than she is, since it was a prototype material for a much stretchier person's super suit, but the shiny black layer on top is tougher to provide some extra material durability to certain places. The gray material is thick and acts like a minor layer of protection, and the inside lightly adheres to her skin so it all stays in place better! Because of her tendency to deform her shape frequently, if a limb is covered by her suit, it needs an appropriate anchor on either her hands or feet to keep her limb from sliding out the end of the sleeve (which would make it ride up when she retracts). In other words, if she wants the suit to stay in place, her limbs can either be fully covered, or not at all. She left her arms bare not just because it feels good, but because she generates heat when she stretches, and her arms are her most-frequently-stretched appendage, she needs to be able to vent the resulting heat in intense action. We'll see how this fares in the Canadian winter, but there's no denying it's fashionable! I spent way longer on this than it needed to take, but I would consider it my first competent bit of digital art, and I was learning as I went, so I'm fine with this. There are some things I'd like to do better/smarter next time, but it's time to move on. The main goal with this was to have a finished design for Springer, and to practice digital art, so mission accomplished!
