Breath retention work (hold on the inhale) can have massive impacts on many and all aspects of our mechanics, physiology, and state (psychology meets behavior). If you deal with anxiety and a lot of chatter or noise there is a place where when we take a stress response and add meditation to it (holding of the breath is a stress response) you can begin to learn a lot. At first (beginner), simply observe the thoughts prior to the urge (NOT STRONG URGE) to breathe again. Learn to be okay without the need to breathe. Learn to separate need vs thought through this process. There is nothing wrong with thinking you need to breathe very early, but what were the other thoughts? You’ll have 7 days a week to play with this and learn. Swipe Right for more advanced ways of applying this. These are simple protocols we use to remove time and the idea of needing to improve, vs allowing to adapt. Enjoy the time learning what happens when you don’t need to breathe. How quiet can you get? πŸ‘‡πŸΌ . . . . #brigalife #shift #stress #adaptation #N=1 #suffocationfalsealarm #breathe #knowyourshift #natURe #co2tolerance #co2 #oxygen #physiology #psychology #biology #mouthwideshut #breathing #humanperformance (en Panama City, Panama) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cn59p6EtmJK/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
