bookkeeper of the kestrel. the consummate pessimist. always has a frown to go with callous hands and an acerbic tongue. high society fallen from grace. but there's no admitting: here, in the dark, for wont of vice and birth of humane sin, he is the grandmaster. for all the snide and headache and irritable near-life tragedies, he controls this criminal universe. only thing he lacks is charm. oversees all business transactions. stripped of his birthright and banished. closest to esau.
