what soft romance cliché are you?

the almost kiss. you're unsure about things, always hesitating. why is that? maybe there's something to lose for you, but maybe (just maybe) the risk is worth it. you're the moment when the main characters lean in, lips parted and almost touching. but it's not the actual kiss everyone loves, it's the anticipation. when they look into each other's eyes before their lids flutter close. and there's a lot of frustration when things are interrupted. trust me though, you're a lot more memorable than the actual kiss. you're nervous, but at the end of the day all you want is to be loved.

#dash games.#ordinary courage — makoto naegi #sdgfhdsa i'm obsessed with this bc it's true at least at the start of things #it takes a very long time for Makoto to be able to muster up the courage to say something like 'i love you'#other ways he expresses it is with stuff like 'i'll protect you'/'i'll help you'/'i'll save you'/etc general protag stuff he says #like look at maizono and how head over heels he obviously is for her at the start but he drops his spaghetti all the time #and he immediately swears to help her as much as he possibly can #(if you believe in Makoto he will answer that belief with as much determination and willpower as he can muster but that's a diff convo)#also this only holds for the beginning of relationships/his feelings i think. once his feelings are actually out there he can be #surprisingly forward!! even if he can still go back into that spaghetti-spilling mode if properly messed with #but in general writing Makoto having caught feelings is really fun bc of how much it takes for him to get to say 'i love you'#not that he doesn't want to or doesn't mean to it's just he has his own issues and he makes it more clear through action or other words
