Pendant Light

Pendant lights are flexible fittings that can be used in any room you feel they would suit. Lastly, while architect Steven Holl creates a multi-faceted and highly perforated light shade for 'Riddled Plywood Chandelier' for which is folded over a walnut frame, Nendo's 'BAT' suspended light by Bisazza is a three-ring chrome steel structure that holds thirty glass-blown cones with mirror surface, and acts as an exemplary contemporary reinterpretation of the crystal chandelier. Containers of blooming branches, boxes of exotic blossoms and bags full of moss stood near the Dining by Design section of DIFFA (Style Industries Structure Fighting HELP), where designers and companies presented creative dining spaces in support of the organization's efforts versus the illness. On Monday night, MAD held its yearly young customers' gala, exactly what they called the Rare Earths Fluorescent Ball - influenced by one of the gala's sponsors Molycorp Minerals-The Rare Earths Business, which explores minerals that produce luminescence (light that typically happens at low temperature levels), found in whatever from undersea animals to the neon lights in Dan Flavin sculptures. Modernist classics, such as Poul Henningsen's meaningful 'PH Artichoke glass' for Louis Poulsen, whose textured leaves diffuse the light, to Arne Jacobsen's downplayed, half-spherical, steel and aluminium 'AJ Royal', produced by the exact same company, are available too.

The styles vary from luxurious, vintage classics such as Josef Hoffmann's Secession-era 'Palme Harrods', now made by Woka, which integrates a refined, cast-bronze frame with crystal glass to high-performance modern-day instruments such as the direct 'Casablanca Perfetto suspension', a linear, extremely effective LED light by Millelumen.
