“pretty,” he murmurs. at this rate, he’s not even really sure what he’s referring to anymore. every inch of her was stunning in its own way, and it was truly e v e r y little bit of her that he could see now. his tongue peeks out from between his teeth, licking out at the curve of his upper lip idly. 

maybe, he thinks, maybe he’s talking about her as a whole. 

the mattress dips when his knee makes contact with it, and he joins her on the bed, inching closer to her form. his fingers trail up her calves, her thighs, palming over the smoothness of her skin with soft, cold hands. a small smile curves the corners of his lips. 

“back home, my grandparents were always the conservative type. you aren’t, are you? i truly hope not.”

            IDOLS VISITING their radio station was nothing new to bomi but what was NEW was the idea that they would be featuring during her segment. most people thought of her show as more of an advice / music column than it was an interview show but with the way the idols’ schedule were and the timing, bomi was given the chance to get to know the newly debuted group known as NEW BLACK over numerous interviews. she had done her research on the trio before their first interview and came to discover their formation -- through a joint tv show ran by black sheep entertainment and yeoneo entertainment ( two entertainment companies known for their eccentric trainees and management ). 

             “UNFORTUNATELY, TO my disappointment, our interview has to end here,” bomi said, sounding rather remorseful, “our time is up with the wonderful trio formed by yeoneo entertainment and black sheep entertainment, NEW BLACK.” she continued, “and it brings to a bittersweet conclusion of tonight’s segment with DJ APPLE.” bomi said, hand moving to queue up a song that’ll lead into another dj’s show as she prepared to vacate the studio. “i hope everyone’s had fun listening to this interview and hoping converted some of you to become NEBuLas.” bomi said, offering the three in front of her a small smile. “up until now, it’s been DJ APPLE. i thank all of you for tuning in. enjoy your night.” bomi concluded, starting the music.

            STANDING UP from her seat, she gave the group a small bow, “thank you so much for coming in again tonight,” she said, “i enjoyed our banter, it was a lot of fun.” she said, gathering her things as she spotted the next host walking in, “it’s regrettable our time together has ended so quickly,” bomi laughed softly, holding open the door for one of the members, “would it be going too far to perhaps ask if you’d like to join me for dinner ??” bomi asked, “it won’t be far and i promise, it’s a really unknown place.”

           “are you serious ??” the youngest member of strawberry milk questions towards one of their fans at the local meet and greet. “you said that i am your favorite member ?? that is beyond sweet of you !! you know, it’s hard being the youngest. usually people think the oldest are the better one’s in the group but i’m glad you picked me !!”

yumi held up a finger to her lips as she opened the front door. while she would have snuck him through her window like they did in the movies, it wouldn’t have worked so well what with her bedroom being on the second floor. “they’re asleep,” she whispered, having waited to make sure both of her parents had knocked out before she had called him over. “we should be okay,” she noted, tiptoeing through the house and leading him to her room. she hated the fact that her parents were so disapproving of her relationship. she didn’t understand why they hated him so much when he literally didn’t do anything wrong to them, but she loved him too much to give him up. so instead, she was having to sneak him in and out of her house every time. but for him, it was worth it.

     “I definitely know how to do it,” he corrected the younger part of their duo, but knowing how to do it didn’t mean he’d also enjoy doing this, in the end he’d be able to do about anything as long as it was for their fans. “If it’s no pork, everything goes. But I want to remind you that we’re using the same company lawyer so suing might be difficult.” Which was a last joke before turning towards the mirror as well, following along with all those movements as perfectly as he was able to and with expressions fit for their stage eventually, ending up in a similar way on the ground as his partner, panting heavily thanks to their so repeated dancing that would make anyone tired at the end of the day. A little grumble was followed to the pinch, ready to intimidate the younger if only he wasn’t done for himself, with a deep breath heaving himself up to mimick actions and pick up his stuff as well. “If you’re hungry, be less energetic. I can’t keep up.”

“If I get my own lawyer maybe i’d win then.” he said with a sigh. “That’s because you’re getting old, you need to find a way to get young like me again.” he joked, playfully pushing the other. In reality xi kan knew the other wasn’t that much older than he was, and he kept up with xi kan’s antics rather well so he really shouldn’t be saying stuff like that. “After this comeback, no more cute stuff. I don’t think your heart can handle acting cute all the time, because I know I sure as hell can’t.” he made his way out of the practice room and out of the building, making his way down the street towards the first restaurant he could see. “I don’t understand why fans want us to keep doing cute concepts, it’s not like we can pull it off well in the first place.”

012. piggyback ride.

It was a rather silent walk back to the palace but Daniel thought it better that way. Sticks and stones may break his bones but words will never break him? Whoever said that had never met Jooyi – sticks, stones and words will break him, if used correctly and she was on her way to perfect that skill. Although the fae prince did not see her as ill-tempered or violent as she sometimes painted herself, she definitely had a harsh side. Jooyi was a fierce and skilled warrior. She spent more time practice her shield and sword skills than perfecting the arm of teacup holding. Well, Daniel supposed that drinking tea with the pinky finger up required a lot of practice but not the kind that he would associate with Jooyi; as a matter of fact, it felt weird to think of her wearing a dolly-like dress and drinking tea and be like her ladies in waiting. Now that was terrifying.

Jooyi was more like soil, dust and rocks.

So when she tripped on a rock while practicing combat with one of the soldiers, it felt odd. But more than that, it was sad because Daniel was hoping to get a chance to see her doing what she did the best. A way to get closer to her, indulge in her hobbies and passions. But carrying her back to the palace was a good way too, he supposed. If only he could get rid of this uncomfortable silence. Ah, it stung more than a rose’s thorn.

Yet he was not known for giving up. “You looked cool back there. I would not want to meet you on a battlefield.” It was just surprising that a rock had her falling on her butt.

a starter for @svbjet - [ minkyung x nari ]

minkyung is adventurous, but... maybe not this adventurous. stepping into this place is kind of like stepping into an alternate dimension. sure, it’s fancy, but not really in the glitz and glamour celebrity life she often sees on those american television shows she binge watches on off-duty days. this is more like... a slightly darker kind of glamor, like the stranger things version of what she’s used to imagining when she thinks of high-end. somehow, the place gives her a strange feeling; it’s off-putting, a little jarring, but still not close enough to sinister. 

even with the little gut-wrenching feeling in her stomach, though, she powers through it. she has a mission, after all, and it’s not like she can screw up just when she’s gotten into the Boss’ good books. besides, nari is a pretty specific assignment from upstairs, and based on the risks to her dignity that she brings home at night, minkyung can kind of see why. it’s not everyday that you meet someone that seems to attract the kind of troublesome men most people get warned to stay away from. 

so, minkyung has to stay close. not too close, but close enough to help if she needs to. she helps in her own ways, in however she can. maybe her methods aren’t the most... orthodox, but they get the job done. kind of. and in a place like this, nari seems like she would need all the help a guardian angel could give her. 

it’s with this thought that minkyung steels herself and pushes forward, shadowing nari’s steps as quietly as she can.

            LIKE CLOCKWORK, a part of her own routine now...when she walked through the door, lihua would be putting on the finishing touches to her drink. by the time she had paid for the drink, lihua would have her drink on the bar and already making her way out from behind the counter to join yuzi at their ‘usual’ table to sit and chat a little about the mundane happenings of their lives ( yuzi tended to have more to share than lihua but the blind female didn’t mind, she enjoyed listening ).

            TODAY WAS no different...except instead of just a cup of coffee in a china mug that lihua had endearingly labeled ( in her own mind ) as yuzi’s cup, set beside it was a small dessert. “on us,” lihua said, offering a bright smile, “as a thank you for coming back so often,” lihua continued, a shallow explanation but in reality, it was because it meant she could stall yuzi’s departure a little longer because the female had to finish the small dessert she provided. “i made the pairing myself...taste it together, it’s great,” she said.

               it’s obvious that jaechan is distracted. as far as the shoot goes, it’s not that big of a deal ( apparently he suits the aloof look ) but when he’s not needed, it’s obvious it’s not just an act. engrossed in his phone, he almost doesn’t notice when someone sits next to him, glancing up only long enough to check it isn’t someone coming to nag him. ❝ please tell me we’re done for the day. ❞
