junhui is definitely the one getting hanahaki because he just seems the type to fall in love first, and more than the person he's loving, i feel like he loves the feeling of loving. and he knows it when he sees you, he feels that love and that immediate surge of flowers overcomes him, it's a kind of pain he lokes though he doesn't mind it. he tries to get to know you because he can't just go and be "hey, we just met but i'm in love with you, can you please reciprocate so my ability to love doesn't have to be surgically removed?" so he approaches you friendly, and falls more in love each day, coughing up flowers but feeling the sweet rush of love all at the same time. and when he knows he doesn't have much time and that he needs to make a decision soon, he buys a bouquet (and he knows your favourite flowers because they're practically growing inside him) but he plans the whole setup and he wants it to be special and his heart practically leaps in joy when you smile at him and greet him with a usual "hi, how was your day yesterday?". he does it though, "i've been thinking about you," and he presents you the bouquet with his cheeky smile, "i like you," but you've never seen him more than a friend :(( so you tell him that you like him...as a friend. but junhui doesn't mind it, that's okay, that's your decision. and he goes into an anasthesia induced sleep thinking about you :((

With hoshi, he’s your best friend, the one who never lets the smile on your face disappear or your energy evaporate and it’s just so easy to fall for him because well he’s him. And you realise that as he sits opposite you in a diner booth sipping milkshakes and munching on french fries, your usual 3 am. And the tiger lily petals start appearing in the next week, as much as it pained you, it felt like a good renovation of a home you already stayed in, to see him in this light, nevermind the anxiety of the fact that he might not. But you decide to confess to him because let’s be honest, what’s wrong in trying? And you knew hoshi enough to know that even if he didn’t reciprocate, he won’t ignore you or it won’t be completely awkward. So you do confess and he’s surprised by your sudden revelation but you can feel the flowers dying inside. He realises he feels the same.

minghao is probably a character you can have hanahaki over, feel unrequited love for; he seems just so lovable that it's possible and he'd have no clue whatsoever. i imagine it in a probably college!au where he's the hotshot, not a jock nor a mean bully just a charming theatre kid with a great fashion sense and he can be your friend who greets you in between, maybe over a scarf or your bold choice of boots and your heart can't help but helplessly fall for this guy even though you're probably sure he'd never feel the same way for you. and you can't imagine ever confessing to minghao, he has that intimidating aura about him, you'd rather have the hanahaki surgically removed out of you and forget he was ever a part of life instead of the terrifying ordeal of asking him.

if you can count on someone to have hanahaki, that's dino. but i feel like he has that denial aura about him, he'll try to deny the feelings or "get over" them; and in that process end up being a complete asshole to you, who has no clue why this guy, a friend of friend you hang out with sometimes suddenly get so rude over the fact that you bump into him slightly. "can't you watch where you go?" he hisses. "i'm sorry," you mutter. but obviously he'll give up after he fails to bury his feelings and the flowers keep on growing. he'll try to then make up for the rudeness, he'll pass over the spoon which was too far from your seat and your friend who was sitting in front of the spoons' stand was too busy trash talking someone to listen to you. and it'll be a surprise to you obviously, "first he's rude to me for no reason and then he's nice to me now?? what does this even mean?" lia facepalms even though you can't see her through the voice call. "it is so so obvious he likes you," and you are a human embodiment of the emoji 😮😮 because that just never occured to you. but the longer you think of it the more appealing it seems, and when chan wakes up the next day, he feels light; he doesn't cough as much and his face doesn't look like he's been stuck on a tree upside down, and he knows what that means, so he gets your number from that mutual friend and he calls you up, "hi :D"
