This is so petty, like, SO petty but as a glasses-wearer, the first time I watched The Black Queen, I saw Penelope sans glasses at the start and automatically despised Shane Wyeth because she says later in the episode that who she was NOW was the one she always wanted to be but she knew he wouldn't like her because he made fun of girls like her.
