Switchfoot: after 20 years we are taking a break

Fandom: ...okay....we'll miss you....*cries like 1 hour*...*moves on with life*

I love how ok we are about it, it's hard to accept it but we know they need it so we can't protest saying they haven't given us everything when they've given us more than we deserve as a fan base and family.

It's not a goodbye quite yet but we know it'll get there eventually, it is what it is.

I'm proud of all they've accomplished and happy to be a witness of how they've changed people for the world to become a better place.

I've been in this for 10 years and they'll get my next 10 and more. Know that whatever stage of their journey you got to know them, they made music to get to you and to help you through your struggles and you're not alone, as a fam we all got each others backs. I love you guys!

So I was watching the livestream with my dad and every time they'd start a new song all they'd play was one chord and I'd be like ohhh nice!! and my dad would have the most confused look on his face until it got to a point where he recognized the song Long story short we are all giant nerds and I'm proud of us

Guys this is just such a uniting feeling that all of us strangers from all over the world can come together and bond so easily and we can collectively worship and boost each other up and make each other laugh and smile and love on each other and just be on fire united as one and tonight has literally been so good no one else would understand (I mean its friday night and I'm sitting home alone with my lap top) but I am just so thankful to be alive and for all of you guys and for the Foremans and Chad and Fontamillas and the one and only Drew Shirley and music and life and love and just thank you.
