DESCRIPTION

The siblings were born and raised in Weaver Ridge. Despite not sharing the same father, they were all very close - which given their home situation, it only made sense. The mom (Sydney Doyle) was a teen herself when she started having them. She tried her best to give them a decent life, working multiple jobs at the same time and trying to find a suitable partner that could be a good father figure to them. However, she was not the best judge of character when it came to looking for a partner. She just wanted to give them the family they all deserved to have. Most of the children's father never stuck around long enough to be an active parent figure in their lives. The ones that stuck for a while, exposed them to heavy drinking, drugs and a very toxic - often times abusive environment. They had to protect each other, although mom tried her best to ensure no one ever laid a hand on her children. Sylvia being the oldest always took care of them, despite her disability. She was a second mom when their mom wasn't around. Her brothers were equally very protective of her.

While Sylvia focused on her education and trying to make it out of the hood, Simon and Scott started doing illegal activities very young to earn some money. Initially it was to help out mom so she wouldn't have to put up with more assholes. But it became a cycle that they couldn't escape and would often be in and out of jail. Scott would just be getting out of jail now. Stephen is a recovering addict that still lives at home with their mom in Weaver Ridge. Sadie also lives at home with mom as well. Being the youngest, she was less exposed to toxicity and was always protected by all her siblings. Sylvia has been a mother figure to her. Sadie career hops a lot, losing interest rather quickly in everything. They all have a complicated relationship with their mom, but as crazy and difficult as their lives have been, they're always there for each other.

Sylvia for the most part has been financially responsible for her family, bailing them out and helping them whenever they need her.
