Sol Kids Day: A day of cultural arts, crafts, and music for the whole family, Sol Collective鈥檚 Sol Kids Day provides hands-on arts and health activities that include nature creation labs, healthy snack assembly stations, yoga for kids and everyone鈥檚 favorite, slime-making. Engaging performances for kids include hip hop theatre production, beat-making workshops, and guest appearances from some local unicorns, magicians, and clowns. Sol Kids Day also hosts a gently used toy/clothing exchange every month as well! Join the Guerrilla Knitting Crew, Ms. Unicorn and the faculty of Unicorn University for this month's Kids Day! Sliding scale donations. No one ever turned away for lack of funds. 2-4PM. Donations accepted.
Amber Yiu-Hsuan Liao: Famed New York pianist Amber Yiu-Hsuan Liao returns to the Crocker to perform works by Czech composer Leo拧Jan谩膷ek and others in celebration of the exhibition Testament of the Spirit: Paintings by Eduardo Carrillo. Like Carrillo, whose cultural identity played a large role in his art, Jan谩膷ek took inspiration from his native land and often created works based on traditional folk melodies. Liao is the winner of numerous piano competitions and is noted for her elegant technique. 3PM. $10 members/$18 non-members.
Tea Time at Faces: Lost in Groove takes over Faces with Pumatron and Lost in Groove's Austin Fox and Amicus. Enjoy free BBQ, drink specials and an open pool. 21+ 3-8PM No cover.
