CHRISTMAS, WHAT ELSE? #2. Two things I enjoy, responsible interpretations of carols and seasonal songs, and Mister Fahey. When we put this on, my son Ted said, “Oh, Pachelbel’s Canon,” and I superciliously said, “No, it’s Jolly Old Saint Nicholas.” But in the car today as I ran Christmas errands with the Christmas radio station on, they played that one boy’s choir rendition you may have heard where they put Christmas words to the canon, and by gosh, I started singing “Jolly Old Saint Nicholas” right over the top just fine.
