My Hen’s - 27th August 2022
My briday party, Sophia and Nhirushni organised my hen’s. I had no idea what they were planning. A few days prior they told me to pack weekend bag to stay overnight. I didn’t know what activity we were doing so I order a few different style dresses. I was very excited.
On the actual day, Matt dropped me off at Morris Jones Restaurant and cocktail bar where the girls surprised me with bottomless Japanese. We were ordering non stop sprintz and there were so much food. I really enjoyed the combo. The venue was very pretty with lots of flowers. We were there 2 hours.
After lunch, we all took an uber to Mantra South Bank hotel where the girls had booked an apartment. We played games, chat and chilled. We had takeaway pizzas. Later on the night, I got a surprise visit from a stranger ...
Lot of laughs and happy memories were made...
There was a bit of a diaster in the bathroom someone threw up everywhere in the sink, two girls had to take a nap before heading out again...
We continued the night to Black Rabbit nightclub where we had our own table booked. The place played Rnb it really reminded me uni days. I loved the vibe the music of the place. The girls feed drinks all night. I had a really good turn out the whole day around 20 girls attended.
We ended the night at McDonald’s on Bourke Street. It was a classic finish. I loved every moment of it. I ordered myself a box of chicken nuggets they first went down well but didn’t stay down there long...
After we ate our food, sophia , Nhirushni and I took an uber back to the apartment where we crashed.
The next morning we all helped clean the apartment and enjoyed a nice and quiet breakfast at a cafe on South Bank looking out to the Yarra River.
I want to say a big thank you to all my girl friends who have been in my life the joy you all bring to my life it cannot be measured. I am blessed to have such wonderful people to share my life. Each and everyone of you are beautiful, smart and kind.

Ladro is one of Melbourne’s most innovative pizza restaurants, serving crispy pies with A-list toppings. Founded in 2003, the Italian restaurant boasts a simple, black-and-white interior with marble-topped tables. The staff, who are clad in red and black, serve food in a clean, streamlined environment. The focus is on flavours and presentation, not on frills.
Leonardo’s Pizza Palace
Located in the former Da Salvatore Pizza by the Metre, Leonardo’s has a rustic yet elegant atmosphere. The walls are adorned with timber panelling and there’s a bar with terracotta wine racks. The floor is paved with terrazzo. You can even see the chefs making your pizza as they stretch the dough and add the toppings. The restaurant uses a custom-built wood and gas-fired oven that gives the crust a distinctive flavour.
DOC Pizza
There are many reasons to visit DOC Pizza in Melbourne. For starters, this Italian-inspired restaurant has a long-standing tradition of serving traditional pizza. The menu offers a variety of toppings, including Pizza Speck with smoked prosciutto, Tiger Prawns, DOC pork sausage and truffle, and Hawaiian. Each pizza is crafted in a wood-fired Italian oven.
Primo

Fabbrica
Fabbrica is an Italian restaurant with wood-fired pizzas and craft beer. The Spanish chef, Matteo Boifava, previously worked for three months at Heston Blumenthal’s Fat Duck. Located in a quiet end of the row, Fabbrica is a bright, cosy spot with copper and cement accents. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and the food is served with wine or beer pairings.

Melbourne’s Best Foodie Suburbs
https://corerealty.com.au/melbournes-best-foodie-suburbs/
Tumblr media
Melbourne’s reputation as a cultural and traditional melting pot is world-renowned, combining its rich Australian heritage with those of numerous cultures across the globe. The end result is a unique and vibrant community with a unique atmosphere unmatched anywhere in the world.
Aside from tourist attractions, Melbourne’s food culture is at the top of the list when it comes to seeking out a good time. Foodies will rejoice, as the vibrant food culture on offer by Melbourne’s various restaurants are sure to satisfy even the most meticulous of tastes.
The following list shows some of Melbourne’s most cherished foodie destinations – from Fitzroy’s eclectic mix of affordable and high-end dining, to the artsy and gastronomic South Yarra – perhaps you will find a few options to add to your list!
Fitzroy
Fitzroy’s charm lies in its versatility, catering to its resident’s variety of tastes. A range of pricing options means that an affordable meal or fine dining are never far away. Numerous pubs and cafes in the area also provide versatile options, offering quality meals at a decent price.
Several food guides and publications have regarded Fitzroy as Melbourne’s “foodiest” suburb, due to its wide array of selections. If you prefer to try a true Aussie food, dine at their top-rated ‘Hub’ on Smith Street. You can find pioneering and contemporary native Australian dining restaurants in that area, served excellently by its humble crew.
‘Hell of the North’ is a Melbourne favourite. It is a hidden restaurant known for their contemporary French menu and fabulous wine selection.
Carlton
Lygon Street is renowned as the Italian hub of Melbourne, home to many prevalent restaurants and cafes. While all of them are excellent, there are two Melbourne restaurants that get our thumbs up – Tiamo and D.O.C.
Offering traditional Italian cuisine, Tiamo focuses on pizza, but other dishes like spaghetti marinara and risotto are also standouts. Meanwhile, DOC’s pizzas are fantastically made with both imported and local produce. If you have made new friends in Melbourne, then why not invite them here and order some pizza?
Overall, the bustling vibe is great. This area feels very homely and genuine. The best part is you can enjoy these awesome foods without emptying your wallet.
St. Kilda
The pristine white sand beaches of St. Kilda are the perfect setting for a romantic date. But hanging out with friends and family is not a bad idea either. After enjoying the sightseeing at Luna Park or taking a refreshing swim, you can try this suburb’s bars, restaurants, farmer’s market and bakeries.
If you are craving for something sweet and decadent, you may relish in the colourful confections at the historic cake shops of Acland Street. After that, you can get a hearty dinner at the sophisticated and sleek bayside bars and restaurants overlooking Port Philip.
Love to sit on the sand and view the sunset while munching on some goodies? Then grab a takeaway pizza from Mr. Natural Pizza Place and a bottle of wine. Sounds like a perfect setting, right?
Prahran
If you are into locally sourced and produced food, then you can go to Prahran, specifically their farmer’s market. It is one of Australia’s premier food market, well-known for outstanding food selections and specialties. Restaurants nearby embrace this produce with open arms, offering a beautiful array of fresh meals.
The markets offer a bunch of goodies such as heirloom produce, cheeses, small goods, artisan products, certified organic fruit and vegetables, beef, pork, poultry, and game. Seafood is also fresh in this area.
Farmers will give you expert advice on all your purchases. Questions such as where they come from, what is best in season, how much they are, and how to prepare and cook them to perfection always come to mind. By spending at Prahran Market, you are aiding farmers’ businesses. In addition, you get to savour the very best of Melbourne’s variety of foods, and its great diversity.
South Yarra
The last entry in our list, and just moments from Prahran, South Yarra surely is not the least. Many of its restaurants have been gaining a reputation for serving good food and top-quality service. Not to mention the stylish and contemporary settings which befit the artistic culture of the area.
For a Michelin-like touch, you can try Matilda 159 for one. Its charcoal-driven kitchen is really inviting, even for the most sensitive palates. Their specialty, a mix of picked spanner crab, finger lime and sea succulents scooped from a crab carapace is truly divine. Putting this into a slightly charred, unleavened bread is a match made in heaven.

Of course, some of the best Chinese restaurants in Melbourne are located in the Yarra Valley. However, there are many more locations in the area that are also popular for Chinese food. If you are looking for a truly authentic Chinese restaurant in Melbourne, then you should definitely check out Chanel's restaurant at Reservoir Walk in Melbourne's CBD. Chanel's has been called Australia's Central Kitchen since 1992. Not only is it one of the most popular restaurants in Melbourne for Chinese food, but it also serves American, Japanese, Australian, and European cuisines.
If you are looking for authentic Chinese cuisine, then you should check out some of the Vietnamese restaurants that can be found in Melbourne. There are many Vietnamese dishes that are enjoyed across the world. Some of the most popular Vietnamese dishes include Pho Ngan, which is a bowl of noodles with bean sprouts, and Ha Minh, which is a stir-fried beef dish with vegetables. Both of these dishes are served along with a variety of Vietnamese specialities, such as banhxue, bok choy, and pho tripe. While there are many Vietnamese restaurants within the city that offer authentic Asian fare, there are also many other restaurants that specialize in Vietnamese and Chinese cuisine.
The West End restaurant at Flinders street offers an eclectic menu of dishes from Vietnamese, Thai, and Indonesian cuisines. It offers a range of cuisine for all different tastes. You will be able to find Vietnamese dishes such as Pho Ngan and banhxue, as well as Chinese specialties such as dim sum, char siu, and chicken rice. You can also enjoy the large array of Indian cuisine on offer, including samosas and dosa rolls. Indian food is popular for many reasons, with the country being one of the major sources of spices and ingredients, and the culture and history of the dishes are impressive. While you are there, you may also want to try the many sushi bars, which are common in Indian suburbs such as Glenferry and Woolamai.
If you are looking for Chinese food, you can find many Chinese restaurants serving a variety of dishes. Chinese cuisine tends to be very colourful, with many foods using fruit and vegetables to give dishes a distinctive taste. A lot of Chinese dishes contain a lot of beef and noodles, with beef being used to give a variety of different sauces to enhance the flavour of the dishes. In fact, you will find that most Chinese dishes use meat in some way to enhance their flavour.
Japanese food is another popular choice, with both Western and Eastern cuisine being served at many restaurants in the city. Japanese dishes tend to be very simple, but flavourful, as the country's population is small and farming is extensive. Most Japanese dishes use seafood to give them their flavour, with some seafood being more prominent than others. Japanese dishes tend to have a heavy flavour and you can usually find them served on their own, with other dishes such as sushi adding extra flavour.
South American cuisine can also be enjoyed at many of the Chinese restaurants in London. Both Latin and Caribbean food can be found, with plenty of Mexican food available on the menus. In fact, it is possible to get South American style food at a Chinese restaurant in London, as many Chinese takeaways offer a variety of different foods to tempt the palate. You will often find black beans, corn, rice and pinto beans on offer at a Chinese takeaway.
You can also enjoy dishes from Africa, with many Chinese takeaways offering dishes from the Middle East and North Africa. This could include dishes from places such as Egypt, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, the UAE and Pakistan. You may also find dishes from Arab-speaking countries on the restaurant menu such as Moroccan or Iraqi dishes. These dishes can be a great alternative to typical Muslim food, and you can also try other traditional Arabic dishes. Chinese restaurants in London are a great place to experience food from another part of the world, and you can also sample dishes from other cultures in the city and region.
