apopros of nothing (I haven't had lark and romance on my mind for days don't look at me); lark falling for someone has the vibe of a cat leaving "gifts" for the subject of their affection. that's all. bye.

Lark is delighted that none of the tadpole crew know who she is. At any given moment there's a 30% chance she's laughing over her own inner joke of her just casually existing among them, not a visible care in the world (beyond. you know, the entire cult rapidly expanding, end of the world as they know it business)

I am sorry to say that Lark becomes insufferable around classically-trained wizards (she will be calling them talentless bookworms by the epilogue)
edit: no, @shadowsfell, sisters aren't exempt

it really is a shame that Lark misses Ketheric's intro scene (gotta keep up the pretense and go break into the prison), just for the potential hilarity of not only Wish showing up to yet again be a pain in his ass, but now Thorm's gotta put up with his (arguably even worse) sister?

no one's awake, time to post a snippet of my current WIP:
She turns to greet the priest properly, and freezes mid-step. Something is not right. He is not himself, she realizes, as the wall of power rushes over her. Her blood sings, rejoicing in the presence of its source.
"Father," she whispers, prostrated, her nose scraped raw in her haste to reverence. "You honor me." At last! At last! This moment she would hold tight to, revisiting every detail, even if she lived another millenia.
"I do not."
His will, lingering in the air between them, shifts, sharpens, a blade He wields against her exposed neck.
"Father," she starts again, still not casting unworthy eyes upon Him, "Your will be done, I swear it."
