#i started disliking the dialogue so i took it out of the queue for a bit but have since realized i can't change it w/o changing the whole th#thing. AURGH.#another of me trying 2 formulate what i feel abt the path of pain cutscene#traditional art#hollow knight comic#hollow knight pure vessel#hollow knight hornet#hollow knight path of pain#art#hollow knight fanart#artists on tumblr#hollow knight#hollow knight hollow knight#hollow knight pale king#tbh i thinnk this is a bit ooc for the hollow knight?#like i feel they'd perceive themself as perfect/keep up the thought that they're perfect#but maybe this makes more sense as an everyone lives/post black egg kinda shtick#when the hollow knight has reason to see they aren't perfect they weren't perfect#but they also don't want to see their dad as flawed#so they recategorize that memory as pale king recognizing their flaws but believing in them anyway#ofc this would b the shallowest realization or else if u think much further than that#like. that makes pk exponentially shittier for sure for sure#like . well hm. in canon he probably did suspect (path of pain memory) but also probably was like In Denial or some shit (path of pain)#buut . i can go on about this but these tags r getting ridiculous
