When we got Dixie at 2 and 1/2, she’d spent the better part of her life on the streets and did not know what toys were. She never played. Not with a toy and not with us. It wasn’t until Domino came home that the purpose of toys finally started to dawn on her. Finally, a year and a half after adding Domino the family - 8 year old Dixie is finally playing and trying to engage in play with us and Domino.
