Finally posting about one of the other major teams in Team Heartseekers’ story, Team Surf (and Turf)! Here’s the leader of the team, named Splash! Ironically the extra sketches that I did are more jokes and don’t really showcase her personality that well, but I digress.

Splash is a confident, friendly, and occasionally somewhat cocky Floatzel that uses the move Dive to allow her team to breathe underwater. She was the one who gathered up the team in the first place, as she was an adventurer exploring the world and randomly helping places that needed help prior to forming Team Surf. She tends to speak for the group while on land as her team members have found that most pokemon find her to be the easiest to talk to and approach. Most pokemon tend to find her quite likable and easygoing, but she can be a bit too overconfident at times.

The serperior that you see in one of the sketches is another (currently unnamed) member of Team Surf. Hopefully I can get his drawing out soon!

Cetitan is a member of Team Surf (and Turf). Team Surf is a rescue team that specializes in taking job requests from land bound pokemon that require the team to go into seas or other large bodies of water. Team Surf accomplishes this by using the move dive to allow the members to breathe underwater. This piece depicts Cetitan while dive is active. I’ll reveal more information about Team Surf and its members, including Cetitan, once I update the drawings I made of each of the members to reflect their redesigns.

We may not have even a third of the sports investment that other countries have, much less the visibility they have, but we have dedicated athletes who are passionate about what they do and about the country itself. You can have everything, but you will never have as much personality as us because in the end all the damage we suffer just for being born in this country makes us different and more prepared for everything and it is precisely in the difficulties that we prosper, that the we shine and we delight. Even in the midst of so many stars, we often shine brighter, as is the case in the two photos above. These are simple moments that were documented, but they represent the beauty and struggle not only of the athletes, but of those who support them.

obsessed with all things olympic and olympic tiktok right now but thinking about the surfers in Tahiti on the cruise ship in particular... there's only 48 total surfers and not even all of them are staying on the cruise ship? Some countries rented houses so there are less than 48 total athletes even on the cruise ship it must be so weird and also so cool???
