Starlink redéfinit la connectivité mondiale, offrant une connexion stable dans des zones reculées. Lors de cette table ronde, les intervenants partagent leurs perspectives sur cette technologie révolutionnaire.   Vincent Blois (Veolia) explique que Starlink est testé pour connecter des sites isolés en zones blanches. Il a comparé les performances à celles de la fibre, avec une latence de 30 ms, et évoqué l’installation des antennes dans des environnements variés.   Julien Ohayon (Kissgroup) souligne que Starlink est complémentaire à la fibre, particulièrement utile en cas de catastrophes naturelles, mais il ne voit pas cette technologie comme un remplacement complet de la fibre. Il s’interroge aussi sur l’avenir des opérateurs traditionnels face à Starlink, dont l’offre reste fermée et davantage orientée vers les TPE et le grand public.   Pierre Gilles Dehaye (Venn Telecom), revendeur de Starlink depuis deux ans, estime que cette technologie bouleverse le marché des télécoms, dépassant même les réseaux terrestres comme la 5G privée. Pour lui, Starlink est en avance et représente une véritable révolution, rendant les régulations et gouvernements presque impuissants face à cette évolution rapide.   Sylvain Plagne (Bouygues Télécom) confirme l’intérêt croissant pour les solutions satellitaires dans les architectures réseau redondantes, comme le SD-WAN, pour sécuriser les connexions. Il a également mentionné que les modèles économiques évoluent : on vend désormais une consommation plutôt qu’un débit fixe.   Brice Jourdain (Eutelsat OneWeb) conclut que les satellites LEO ne sont plus une solution de dernier recours, mais deviennent une alternative privilégiée, notamment dans les zones rurales. Avec une latence réduite et une couverture mondiale, ils ouvrent des possibilités nouvelles pour l’avenir des télécoms.

La connectivité via les satellites LEO, autrefois perçue comme une solution de dernier recours, s’impose désormais comme une technologie incontournable pour les entreprises. Les intervenants s’accordent à dire que cette évolution va bouleverser le marché des télécoms, poussant les entreprises à revoir leurs modèles économiques et leurs stratégies de connectivité.
