“A year!” Verin practically shouts from the bottom of the stairs as Essek gets ready for 'the date'. “I can count too, brother.” Essek rolls his eyes but in the fondest of ways. “You know what this means-” There are rapid footsteps as his brother bounds up the stairs to annoy him in closer proximity. “A year of courtship means tonight he’s definitely going to-” “Don’t say it-” “Propose!” Verin is grinning at him in the mirror.
