I honestly think some of the most interesting Tong lore in MW is that the Tong, even in 3E, an organization heavily tied to Dunmer culture (esp. housemer culture) and mostly dedicated to murdering belligerents in lieu of civil war, not only freely distances itself from the Tribunal (Tong HQ freely reveres Mephala, not Vivec, even in 3E) but also freely accepts Ashlanders and non-Dunmer without any fanfare. I love that this is environmental storytelling vs smth that’s explicitly drawn attention to

#Bug Squad tag #like even beyond that it’s so interesting that 3E Tong is shown moderating Ashlander conflicts #and not just House vs House war. I wish the questline was expanded upon more bc the amount of power #the Tong has and how little fucks they give abt the status quo is genuinely super interesting #(another super cool thing is the fact the Tong in 3E has flat out clubhouses in the open that anyone can just walk into.#these have Mephala paraphernalia and nobody cares.)#like I said once. are you really going to be the ones to try and tell the weirdo bug murderhobos who live in your sewers #that they can’t revere their spider mom patron. are you.#saint.txt
