Poor Deacon. socially awkward or not knowing?

A bit of both! The questions range from asking Fulj if she likes to eat, does she need to eat, do certain foods make her happy? Which are tame enough but she is like "you literally serve a deity yourself ask him" and he has!

Deacon loves learning about his boss AND Lady Fulj but there are differences. Ymber (the water deity) can retain a physical form without concern/exertion. Fulj (lightning deity) can only be physical sometimes - she speaks to and can possess her two devoted followers to use to walk amongst people without her own form.

So he wants to know HER personal thoughts on mortal food.

However, since Ymber doesn't need a body to control, Deacon also finds it perfectly fine and logical to ask Fulj "so can you enter my body if I give you consent?" which. Is pretty weird. She points out no and also WHY would you want that. And Deacon smiles saying he wants to know what it's like to have someone else inside his body to move his limbs. Does he retain thoughts? Does he know what's going on? Does it take a toll on him?

Aaaaand the whole "can you possess me" weirds her out a LOT.

He just wants to learn about the two main deities in his life (since he serves Ymber and Ymber is close to Fulj, so she visits him more than any other deity). He means well, he's just... Overly curious and doesn't filter his questions to Fulj.

Despite being human without any magical affinity to his knowledge, he does actually have a radar of sorts for Ymber and Fulj so he knows if they are nearby and in what direction. Ymber's attuning is because Deacon serves him and is bound to him. Fulj however he simply learns the source. And so while he isn't aligned to her and lightning, he can sense her and will turn to look for her and then she'll vanish and he sees one of her followers. Which means she was with the follower until he looked over which is so sad, he can't say hi to Lady Fulj if she leaves before he can spot the follower!

At first Ymber is convinced Deacon just likes to smile at her and can recognize her two followers but then finds out no, actually. It isn't the followers he recognizes, but the traces of Fulj. Which is ... odd for someone not devoted to her. Such as her own two followers she jumps between physically are able to sense her nearby but they are unable to feel Ymber. Sure they recognize him visually at this point but they don't feel anything.

I actually am debating him having mild facial blindness where he really just. Doesn't recognize a lot of people even if he interacts with them. Like there is some familiarity but no one he really knows. But he does have the sense of "I know this is my boss and this is Lady Fulj. Don't ask me anyone beyond that."

Ymber is fascinated by Deacon and his curiosity while Fulj is creeped out and scared by it.
