My favourite part of Immortal Longings discourse is witnessing people getting confused and angry when they slowly realise that Calla is not the revolutionary girlboss TM they thought she was and then call the book bad for it
#chloe gong#immortal longings#flesh and false gods#vilest things#flesh and false gods 2#the funniest review I saw for the novel tried to argue that Chloe Gong is pro-monarchy and pro-establishment because Calla didn't destroy#the Talinese empire at the end of the FIRST novel of a TRILOGY#I love Calla as character but it was pretty damn obvious that she wasn't truly anti-monarchy from the get-go LMAO#like the point they made was because the novel is from the perspective of three characters from nobility Chloe must identify with them
