There’s a knock on your door, one you instantly recognize as it’s a catchy beat you exclusively share with one person alone: Ayoung. “Mind if I came over?” she asks from the other side of the door. You roll your eyes, chuckling as you walk to your doorway, “I don’t even know why you even bother asking, honestly!”
“Unlawful entry happens when a private person enters the property of another without consent from the owner. The same shall be punished by…”
Ayoung pauses her sentence midway as you open the door. “And does that count when said owner had long given such private person the passcode to her door, Attorney Shin Ayoung?”
It’s Ayoung who fondly rolls her eyes this time. She raises her hands, fingers turning white as she clutches onto two bags full of food. Your face lights up at the sight.  Whoever said that the way to a man’s heart was through his stomach was severely mistaken - that, or he or she hadn’t taken a woman’s true source of wellbeing into consideration.
“What’s on our menu today?”
“Oh you know our go-to review food. Seori halmeoni’s jjajjangmyeon house special!” Your mouth falls agape, astounded at how she even managed to get those when halmeoni’s special dish always sold out in the middle of the day.
“Please don’t tell you lined up for hours for these...”
“What if I told you I didn’t have to?” Ayoung winks while she takes her shoes off.  You grab the food from her hands and start setting the table. “What do you mean you didn’t have to?” She chuckles at your creased forehead, knowing you’re talking about the minimum one-hour waiting time of halmeoni’s stall - and that’s on off-peak hours.
“I think the landlady might’ve mentioned me moving to a new apartment, so when I was coming home from school today, she called me over to her stall and handed me these care packages.”
“Awh, that’s so sweet of her!” Your chest warms at the thought and the reminder that your lovely neighbor was going to move away. Not to mention Chohee has similar plans too.
Ayoung lets Netflix pick out a random movie, adjusting the lighting of your room enough for you to eat your dinner while watching. “Right, speaking of, won’t the hospitals be sending out acceptances for your post-graduate internship?”
Pushing your laptop to Ayoung’s side of the table, you show her the screen of your mail - the same page you have been refreshing for hours now. “Well, let’s just hope for the best then, shall we?”
Forty-five minutes into Miss Congeniality, a notification from your mail app lights up your phone screen. You see the header display that it’s from Woocheon, and it’s as if your heart drops to the ground, and your fingers are simply glued to the side of your phone, leaving you staring at it until the screen turns black again.
Ayoung notices your silence and pauses the movie. “You okay?” the sweet girl places a comforting hand on your shoulder, shaking you gently to wake you from your trance. Gulping, you look at her expectantly. “It’s an email from Woocheon.” Her eyes widen along with yours. “Well, aren’t you going to open it?”
“What if I didn’t make it?”
“Unnie, you wouldn’t know unless you do.”
With one eye closed, you turn to your laptop and click on the new mail. “Besides, they’d be a fool if they didn't accept the application of the same woman who topped the exam now, wouldn’t they?”
Tumblr media
Just then, Chohee’s caller ID lights up your phone.
“_____________!!!!!!!!!” Your best friend’s voice rings in your ears, your barely comprehensible name loud and clear with Chohee’s shrieking.
“I’m already positive you got accepted to Woocheon because I had this gut feeling and you know my gut never lied to me - plus I had it confirmed by a fortune teller…” Chohee starts, then takes a breather, “BUT guess what? I also made it to Daegu Medical Center!! GAH _________ I’m literally crying right now!!”
“I’m so proud of you Chee, I really am,” your voice wavers, and you bite on your lip to keep yourself from pouring out all your feelings. “Don’t go me emotional right now, young woman! I’ve got makeup on, and my parents and I are going out to dinner, and I can’t ruin my cute outfit with tear-stained cheeks now, can I?”
Typical Chohee. You smile. “Of course, Chee. I know. We’re gonna be actual doctors! You go ahead and enjoy your family time. Young-ie has come over with jjajjangmyeon.”
“It’s jjajjang-night and none of you even bothered to send me an invite?! So much for our so-called friendship huh!”
“Well, if you’re willing to drive three hours all the way from Daegu after you have dinner with your parents, you’re free to come. Otherwise, we’ll have to finish halmeoni’s recipe all by ourselves.”
Chohee sighs from the other end of the line, while Ayoung watches your conversation with your best friend with the fondest of smiles. Chohee doesn’t stay long after that, declaring that she has to go. As soon as you put down your phone, Ayoung asks about your best friend, “If you don’t mind me asking, why did she choose Daegu Medical Center? I thought Woocheon was like the most sought after hospital for internships?”
“Actually, DMC is being managed by Woocheon too. If I’m not mistaken, it’s also equally as hard to enter Woocheon. Plus her parents work there too, so DMC was the only hospital for her.” Ayoung nods her head in acknowledgment, then presses a button on the remote to continue the movie when an unknown number sends you a text.
Tumblr media
Out of all people, you weren’t expecting Soomin to send you a text. You’d been meaning to hear from her so you excitedly send her a text back.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Just the same as the last time you went here with Chohee, the tiny bell dings when you open the door to the cafe. Soomin instantly hears the sound and waves you over to her table. As you near, she rises from her seat with a big smile on her face.
“________! Long time no see!” she exclaims, extending a hand outward to offer you the seat across hers.
“Soomin! It’s been some time, hasn’t it? Would you believe it’s been months since we were reviewing our notes under strobe lights and loud music? Out of all the places to review though!” you laugh, setting your bag down. While Soomin goes through the menu, you take the opportunity to look for Jimin if he was around so you could introduce them to each other too. After all, there’s no harm casually meeting your workmates before meeting them formally as coworkers right?
“You know, I was really looking forward to this day - especially when you had invited me to this lovely place for brunch…” A smile graces Soomin’s youthful features. “I actually know someone who world here...I’m not exactly sure if he’s working today though…” Once more, you glance over Soomin’s shoulders, hoping you’ll catch a glimpse of Jimin’s golden locks. Ah, yes. Speaking of goldilocks.
“Wow! Just in time.... He’s actually here today! Jimin!” Your calling his name surprises him, immediately causing him to look for the source of the voice. He’s sporting a wide grin when he recognizes you from the counter, until he sees who you’re with then diverts his attention somewhere and walks away quickly.
Absolutely taken aback by his reaction, you sit there for a moment with your mouth agape until Soomin clears her throat discreetly. “Um...o-okaayy, that was awfully strange...I’m sorry - he’s not usually like that.” You discreetly hide the disappointment in your voice, wondering if Jimin just literally pretended to not see you when you had even waved him over.
“Oh really?”
“Yeah...um...I’ll try to approach him later…”
“Perhaps he’s uncomfortable meeting strangers?”
Highly unlikely. Not when Jimin had no problem interacting with the other oath takers that he managed to get the whole group and your families away from the maze they called the convention center. Plus, he’s really good with the customers too who generously fill up the tip box after experiencing Jimin’s exemplary customer service. Jimin’s ability to handle social interactions is out of the question.
“This Jimin guy,” Soomin starts, pointing a thumb towards the till, “how did you get to know him?”
You pause for a moment, recalling your memories. “Honestly, I just realized it now, but I actually met him the same night I met you. He was in the same club we were dragged into, and when you convinced me to approach the cute guy at the bar, he actually saved me from a spiked drink - from the dude I was supposed to hit on. The next time I met Jimin was when Chohee and I went here for brunch too and we saw him working here, so I guess that’s how we all came to be friends…” Jimin’s cold-shoulder just moments ago appears in your thoughts. “....I guess...at least that’s what I thought.”
You figure this apparent ‘friendship’ with Jimin wasn’t exactly as real as you thought it was.
It’s all the more surprising that Soomin seems to be the least interested in your meeting, or, that she already knew who Jimin was. She was simply nodding her head as you talked, occasionally sneaking a few glances at Jimin while he was serving orders to the other customers.
You start patching things up, trying to put two and two together to see if it would all make sense. No way. Could it be? That these two had history?
Just then, Soomin stands to excuse herself and heads over to the toilet. The moment she disappears from your sight, you hastily call Jimin over. “Are you okay? Was there a reason why you couldn’t come over earlier? I wanted to introduce two of my friends to each other, but one doesn’t seem to be so willing....” You cross your arms over your chest, murmuring your hurt feelings loud enough for Jimin to hear.
“I’m sorry, ________. But your ‘friend’....she’s not really just someone uh…”
“Was she your ex-girlfriend then?” Pursing your lips, you egg him to go on with a raise of your eyebrow. Jimin’s eyes widen and he shakes his head back and forth. “No! No...it’s not like that...she’s actually my boss.”
His hesitant explanation doesn’t convince you one bit. Surely, there’s all the more reason for him not to blatantly ignore you when his boss was seated right in front of you the whole time, wasn’t it?
Jimin sighs as he watches your reaction, knowing his clarification didn’t suffice. “Well she isn’t my boss, per se, but she is the daughter of the woman who owns this cafe. Wait, they own the whole building, really.”
Oh.
“And uh…” Jimin gulps. Hard. “....the other day…” He looks around warily. “...I might have spilled coffee all over her dress...which was white…”
Oh.
Shit.
“Why didn’t you just quit? It would have been easier.”
“I couldn’t. Not when Woocheon’s results weren’t out yet. I need my allowances too!”
Just as if on a terrible cue, out of nowhere, Soomin appears beside Jimin. You weren’t about to abort from your original mission though. “Hah! Perfect timing! Um, Soomin, this is Jim…” Before you even finish your sentence, Jimin bows quickly, apologizes, then turns on his heel, declaring that he still had to get back to the kitchen to do stuff.
Soomin remains silent, getting back to her seat quietly. You suddenly feel bad for her, seeing how Jimin makes every attempt to ignore her, and gets away with it every time.
Unfortunately and unlike Chohee, you are unable to get out of an awkward situation in a snap of a finger, so you apologize in Jimin’s stead first. “I’m so sorry, uh, he can be really shy at first…” Hopefully that wasn’t a complete lie?
Much to your surprise, Soomin waves it off with a smile. “It’s no worry, really. He’s probably still bothered with him spilling coffee all over my dress but I assured him a couple of times that it wasn’t that big of a deal. And that I always have extra clothes stashed in my car.”
Soomin shrugs as she takes a sip of her lemonade. “I told Jimin it was nothing afterwards, but he wouldn’t stop apologizing...and now he won’t look at me too.” You’re at a total loss, amazed at how she calmly and easily handled that situation like a true boss.
“Besides, dwelling on such a small thing won’t be worth it. Not when we’ll be spending an entire year together…”
You go over her statement again, partly confused. An entire year together? She meant the internship, probably? And above all that - she knew about Jimin too, even when the boy won’t even let himself get five meters close to Soomin?”
“Ah yes, I’m sure Jimin has told you about Woocheon as well right?”
Well, you were aware of that, but you weren’t so sure about how she knew about yours and Jimin’s applications. “Yeah...um, but….I’m sorry, was there a list online that mentioned all the chosen applicants for the internship program?”
“Oh right - I sort of know some people from Woocheon who have told me about those who got accepted...It still feels like it was just yesterday when I was registering my classes for med school and now we're finally here!”
The two of you toast the future, clinking your glasses of lemonade together. Nothing could get better than having your friends become your workmates too. Surely, it’s a sad fact that Chohee won’t be going to the same hospital as you would, but you’re beyond elated that she got into DMC where she’d always wanted to work at.
At least you’ve got Jimin and Soomin by your side now, and hopefully, new friends you’ll meet along the way.

The chains of familial obligations and expectations were suffocating, to say the least. For as long as you could remember, your parents expected you to be the perfect student, smile for the camera when you got an award, and exist for the sole purpose of becoming someone they could brag about. When you first discovered the Eggy Cafe, you didn’t quite know just how much of an impact it’d have on your life. You visited with the sole purpose of finding a place to study in peace and quiet. It first started off as you going every few weeks, usually before a test or when you wanted to be alone in a place where no one knew you.
Never in a million years did you’d think that you’d become friends with Jieun, the owner, or that she’d offer you a part-time job. You weren’t looking for one nor did you need the money but for some reason, you accepted it. And so for the past year, you’ve been working as a barista for the Eggy Cafe, enjoying your job more than you should be. The scent of coffee beans and freshly baked pastries became embedded into your clothes, the sounds of conversations from customers you chatted with became music to your ears, and in the Eggy Cafe, you found the constant warmth you’ve been longing for your entire life. Just a few months ago, the Eggy Cafe started gaining attention from students on campus due to the school’s basketball team star player, Min Yoongi talking about how good your drinks (mostly the Americanos) were. You became known as a sort of fairy of caffeine, supplying people with their caffeine fix and pastries that tasted better than the overpriced Starbucks on campus.
It was nearing midnight and there were a few people still in the cafe, studying and working on homework but you could handle it on your own. Your coworker of 3 weeks, Jay had to leave a few hours before his shift ended for a reason you’d didn’t care enough to remember. You were currently making a drink for yourself when suddenly,
“Uhh, hey,” a voice said somewhat unsure of themselves. You looked at where it came from and saw someone standing awkwardly by the side of the bar counter somewhat of a distance away from you.
“Hi, do you know what you want to order yet?” you asked. He shook his head and looked around. There was an air of loneliness that surrounded him, he looked familiar for some reason probably because you’ve seen him around campus.
“Take a seat and however long as you need,” you said with a smile. He sat down by the bar counter, two seats away from you and you continued making your drink. A silence befell the two of you until finally,
“Why are all the drinks named like potions?”
“Because this place is magical and I’m a witch,” you joked.
“I heard from Jay-hyung that a fairy working here,” he said, causing you to smile,
“What kind of potion do you want?”
“Got a potion for making friends?” he asked. You knew that he was only joking but you could feel a sliver of truth in his words. Working in the Eggy Cafe for so long allowed you to get to know various types of people and how to help them out, even if it was for a few brief moments.
“Give me a sec, I’ve got just the thing.” It didn’t take long before you placed a cup in front of him and you leaned on the other side of the counter to start a conversation.
“Drink this,” you said. He looked at the cup, then back at you in confusion,
“Tea?”
“What’s on your mind, babe?”
You learned that the practically 6 feet tall guy’s name was Nishimura Riki but people often called him Ni-ki. You realized that the reason he looked familiar was because he was a dance major and you saw him practicing by the quad sometimes. Throughout the next few months, you started noticing him more and more after that day, saying hi whenever you passed by each other and smiling at him when you couldn’t say hi. One lunchtime when Ni-ki came to the cafe his order was in a to-go cup, you figured he’d be leaving. As he waited, you gave him a plate with some mochi on it.
“I didn’t order this,” he said, looking at the plate of mochi.
“Try it out for me, let me know if it tastes good. I made it this morning and I’m thinking of asking Jieun to sell it.” He took a bite, eyes lightening up as the taste settled on his lips. He had had lots of mochi and desserts throughout his lifetime but this was unlike anything he’d ever had before.
“What is this?” he asked, looking at you in pure amazement. You made a mental note to yourself that food was something that made Ni-ki smile.
“Smores mochi, it’s good, yeah?” he nodded,
“You should sell this. Definitely.” As you handed him his drink,
“Great, it’ll give you a reason to come by more often.” You got back to work, not quite noticing the tinge of red that was starting to show on his cheeks or how he muttered,
“I already have a reason to come by more often,” to himself, just out of earshot from anyone else.
Ni-ki came to the cafe later that week with some people, one of them included Jay who also wasn’t working. The only thing was that when he saw you, you weren’t behind the register with an apron. Instead, you were sitting in the booth by the window with a laptop in front of you and what seemed like hundreds of papers on the table. Your hair was brought up in a messy bun with strands of hair around your face and you sported an oversized hoody.
“What’s up?” a voice asked, turning your attention away from your laptop and whoever it was.
“Jay-hyung, don’t bother her,” Ni-ki said as he went to your table. A guy whose name you later found out was Jungwon sat next to Jay while the other 4 guys were in line at the register.
“It’s not a bother, I’ll always welcome your company Ni-ki,” you said. He knew damn well that you were saying it out of friendliness but he couldn’t stop the heat that rose to his cheeks. You were introduced to the 5 other guys and learned that Ni-ki and Jay were a part of a group that put out performances.
“Y/n-ah, you work here?” the one whose name you found out was Sunoo asked already comfortable with you. Sunoo was bright and cheery at the first meet, the opposite of Ni-ki but you realized that the two complimented each other.
“When I’m not studying I’m either sleeping or supplying caffeine,” you replied with a smile. As everyone settled into their own conversation, you started eating the chocolate chocolate chip muffin you baked earlier. Even though you weren’t working today, Jieun still let you have access to the kitchen and coffee. Seeing Ni-ki eyeing your plate, without thinking much of it, you ripped out a piece and brought it up to Ni-ki’s mouth. As he accepted the bite, his arm reached over behind your shoulders to get his cup of tea which was by the ledge of the window.
He returned the cup back to its original place but his arm stayed around your shoulders. You didn’t mind it, if anything you were glad for Ni-ki and his presence lately. Somewhere down the line, the once 7 guys you were with became just Ni-ki by your side.
“Can I walk you home?” Ni-ki asked as you started packing up your things.
“Well, if you’re offering to be my bodyguard tonight I won’t refuse” As you and Ni-ki walked to your dorm, it didn’t quite register how much you enjoyed being with him until he had to leave. Once at your doorstep,
“There’s a dance showcase happening at the festival tomorrow, I’m performing with everyone else and solo. If you’re not busy, do you wanna... come?” Dancer Ni-ki was a part of him you had yet to see and you heard so much about it from everyone else. Over the past few months, his closed-off persona was slowly fading and little by little he was letting you into his world.
“I’ll be there, we can celebrate your win at the cafe after!”
“Yah, what makes you think I’m going to win?”
“If you lose then we can celebrate the fact that it’s over.”
“I’ll see you tomorrow then?”
“Mhm.”
The next day came by quicker than you were expecting, the only part you were looking forward to was the showcase. You were able to be close to the front of the stage with a few of your friends and you cheered as loud as you possibly could when it was time for Ni-ki’s performance. In awe of how he commanded the stage, you couldn’t believe just how powerful Ni-ki was, practically leaving you more breathless than when the two of you were next to each other. He was definitely going to win. And if the judges thought otherwise you were going to throw a riot.
Later that night, the Eggy Cafe was full of chatters as the group and solo dance performance trophies were set on the counter. The boys were clearly tired but still happy nonetheless. While Jay was teaching Jake how to make a puppuccino for Layla, Sunghoon was washing the dishes that you guys used since it was after closing time, Jungwon and Sunoo taking selcas, and Heeseung asleep on the couch, Ni-ki was sitting across the counter from you.
“Y/n?” he asked.
“What’s on your mind?”
“You updated the menu names?” he asked, looking behind you. They were still as crazy if not more as they were originally.
“Which potion do you want?”
“Got a potion that’ll give me the courage to ask you out?” Unable to stop yourself from blushing, you set a cup of tea in front of him. He took a sip,
“Are you free tomorrow?” Nodding as you took a sip of your own drink,
“I am.”

Note
i wanna request that HC with Mc almost leaving s/o (the one in your masterpost)
Yoosung
I already wrote something very similar to this over here, and it’s pretty much the best idea I had for Yoosung
The other option I wrote out was something that Yoosung wouldn’t actually do, so deleted it
Jaehee
Jaehee was working herself too hard
She hadn’t taken a break since they’d opened the café
MC manages to convince Jaehee to take a day off with her and close cafe early so that they can go see Zen’s musical together
However, a few days before their evening out, Jaehee books a private event at the cafe when the play is supposed to start
They argue about it because Jaehee thinks it will be a great chance to promote the cafe, but MC says Jaehee promised and needs some time away from work
In the end, they just pout at each other and don’t speak for a little while
MC goes to the musical alone and no, she’s not being stubborn, Jaehee is!
After the play, Zen asks MC to come backstage so she can ask about Jaehee, but MC explains everything that happened
Zen agrees to go with her to the cafe to talk to Jaehee during the private event, as he wants to see her as well (he likes hanging out with the two of them)
When they arrive, the party is in full swing, someone tries to force them out because “it’s a private event”, but before MC can state she’s a co-owner, a guest recognizes Zen and says they’re with her
MC goes to find Jaehee and sees her being kissed by another woman
Granted, it’s on the cheek, but it took forever for Jaehee to get comfortable with PDA from MC
So MC turns around and walks out to go home and cry
The next day, MC proposes they break up before the cafe opens and anyone else is there, even saying she found all the documents online to give/sell her half of the cafe to Jaehee
Jaehee is very quick to stop this line of thinking and the two of them have a long, serious talk about all their problems
Jaehee ends up agreeing to take one day off a month to go on a date with MC, but only if MC will help her rake in more customers with events and such
Zen
It’s their one year anniversary of being married
In months leading up to it, Zen made a bigger deal of it than she did
Not to mention, Valentine’s Day and Christmas were his favorite holiday and he’d gone all out for those every single time
And not only does Zen forget
But he goes out drinking after work with a few cast mates
He even makes a post inviting fans to come hang out with them
He’s posting things on his FB page, twitter and Instagram the whole time
MC had made a nice dinner to surprise him when he got home, but when she saw his social media, she goes on the Messenger and cries
She ends up packing a bag and is getting into a cab to go Jaehee’s place for a little while (she was sweet enough to offer her couch if MC needed some time away)
Zen comes home right about then, a little too drunk, and asks where she’s going
“Check the Messenger.” Is all she says before she slams the door
Zen goes inside and sees and…. fuck. Fuck. FUCK!!!
How could he have been such a jerk!!
He sees the beautiful meal she made, the remnants of candles, and so on, and he’s fucked up, royally
When he gets a notification that MC is online, he jumps on, interrupting a conversation between her and Jumin about the furball
Immediately, she logs off
In the morning, he goes to work, he does what he has to, then he goes to Jaehee’s.
Jaehee lets him in because she wants him to apologize to MC (who had been crying a lot because of him)
He swears it’ll never happen again
He begs forgiveness
He even promises to give her a whole day, just for her, if only she’ll come home
She agrees, but only just barely, and even then, she refuses to share the bed with him
Zen immediately calls his director, claims to be sick and says he needs a day off
He sleeps on the floor next to the couch because he refuses to be away from her until she forgives him
He takes her on a long, romantic date, treats her like more than a princess, when people ask what the occasion is, he tells the truth; he forgot their first anniversary and is making it up to her
They first shame him, then they give him advice or free stuff to help (or they just give it to her with a sad, “oh honey, I’m so sorry he forgot.”)
Halfway through the day, she says that being mad at him is exhausting and she just want to go home and take a nap
He refuses because he promised her a day and now he plans to make it a day
When they’re stoped in the park by some of his fans, he excuses himself from them, politely stating he’s on a date with his wife
The girls “awwwww” because it’s super cute how enamored with her he is
By the time they get home, she’s exhausted and can’t believe he packed so much into one day
But it doesn’t end there
He draws her up a bubble bath (and joins her after setting something up)
And when they get out, he has candles lit in their bedroom
Love making ensues
The morning, she aches in all the right ways, and is surprised when Zen drags her back into bed when she tries to get up to eat, and whispers that because he had so much fun yesterday, he called out sick today too
But this time, he plans on them staying home all day ;)
Jumin
One of Jumin’s high society “friends” says that MC is “kind of plain” and “surprisingly uncultured” and “clumsy”
To Jumin’s face
MC knows she can be clumsy, but it genuinely wasn’t her fault she bumped into that guy and spilled her drink on him
Hell, she’s heard comments like this before, and she’s honestly not even really bothered by them
Until Jumin agrees with him
She walks out of the party without saying a word, is driven back to the pent house and packs up her things
Anything Jumin has bought her with his money, she throws in the garbage
She ends up with a surprisingly small backpack from her high school days
She writes a note, “Since I’m so uncultured, I didn’t know the proper protocol for this, so I’m sorry if it’s not to your tastes. But I am leaving. I won’t tell you where I’m going. Hopefully the absence of my plain face won’t bother you.”
To her surprise, Elizabeth blocks her way and won’t let her leave the penthouse
She manages to get past Elizabeth eventually, but by then she has 10 missed calls from Jumin, 1-5 from the other RFA members, and bumps into Jumin in the lobby on her way out
He’s so relieved she’s okay, but MC fibs to him and says her mother is in the hospital and she needs to go visit right away, and she wants to go alone
He allows this because he knows how stubborn and independent she can be
When she’s in the car, she reads the messages, finds out that Jumin noticed her absence near-immediately and went looking for her
When he couldn’t find her, he panicked
He and the RFA all assumed that she had been kidnapped
She ends up actually just going to her mothers, and once Driver Kim has left, she goes to a hotel to stay the night
As soon as she’s checked in, she gets a call from Jumin demanding to know where she is. He refuses to lose her.
“Maybe next time, pick someone better suited to you,” she says. “Some one beautiful and graceful and refined. Like maybe Sarah.” Then she hangs up.
He calls her all through the night, although she shut her phone off pretty quickly
In the morning, she listens to his messages as he gets increasingly more desperate, even breaking down into tears at some point
After breakfast is delivered to her room, she gets a call from 707, who starts speaking so frantically, she can’t understand him
What he boils it down to is, “Thank god you turned on your phone, Jumin paid me a lot of money to track you down, and I can’t fail him. I have to fill up my babies with premium~”
This whole conversation happens while she’s eating
Then there’s a knock on the door as she finishes her food
With a piece of toast hanging out of her mouth and 707 still on the phone in her hand, she answers the door to three security guards and Jumin
The toast falls out of her mouth
Jumin forces himself inside the room, shuts the door, and grabs her phone
“Thank you, Luciel, the money will be wired to you by the end of the day.”
Jumin then hangs up and throws the phone across the room
He then grabs MC and kisses her
When he pulls away, she sees how bedraggled he looks. He’s still wearing the same suit form the night before, it’s wrinkled and his hair is a mess
He begs her never to leave him again
He apologizes a million times, telling her she’s the most beautiful woman he’s ever met and that he was barely even paying attention to what that man said, he didn’t even realize until it was too late
He loves her too much to lose her
MC ends up realizing she hurt him just as much as he hurt her and apologizes for leaving like that, for saying the things she did, it was unfair
After holding each other for a little while, Jumin declares he’s going to take a day off of work, and they are going to stay in this hotel room until the next day
MC just rolls her eyes at this, but sure, fine, whatever
Saeyoung
He’d been acting… distant
Of course, part of it was because he was keeping an eye on Saeran, who was having a really bad stream of episodes
More than once, Saeran had lashed out at one or both of them
It didn’t help that Saeyoung was trying really hard to get out of the spy life and was doing his best to keep hackers away from them
MC did the best she could not to be a burden on him since he had so much on his plate
If MC was around, she’d help around the house by cleaning, making decent meals for the brothers, making sure they at least tried to eat, and so on
One day, however, Saeyoung snaps at MC that he’s fine, he doesn’t need her to put on a show and he just needs her to leave
When she comes back a few hours later with food and note with a joke on it, he’s still frustrated and says he told her to get out
So MC says goodbye to Saeran and goes home
She stops texting him good morning and good night at this point
At first, he just assumes she forgot, no big deal, that or she’s mad at him
Goes on for three days, then he realizes he’s hungry and Saeran almost sets fire to the kitchen trying to cook with some of the ingredients MC bought and left behind
Saeyoung cooks, but its not as good
He goes to check on MC at her apartment, only to find all the cameras are taped over, so he has to go in person
When he gets there, MC refuses to open the door
When Saeyoung asks why, she informs him that, she’s been trying her best to take care of him and Saeran, but Saeyoung continues to push her away
After everything they’ve been through, and he’s still pushing her away
Saeran really isn’t the best company, either, but she doesn’t blame him for that
When Saeyoung told her he didn’t need her, that he didn’t want her, MC decided that, if that’s what he thought would make him happy, she’d listen
He doesn’t need to see her again
Guess who’s begging for forgiveness through her apartment door?
Saeyoung just starts apologizing uncontrollably, saying he didn’t mean it, he loves her, needs her, Saeran needs her totally doesn’t almost ruin the apology by saying that they really need her to cook because Saeran can’t, and he’s not very good
Eventually MC lets him in and they hug and kiss and make up
MC also starts teaching Saeran to cook so there aren’t anymore… incidents
soon Saeran is a better cook than she is, but he doesn’t let Saeyoung have any when he “acts weird” and more often than not, if he goes to deliver food to his brother, he dumps the plate on the table in such a way that some of the food usually goes flying

The Joy of Cooking Naked
LUTZ, Fla. — Karyn McMullen is tired of being asked how she cooks bacon without any clothes on.
It’s one of those jokes people can’t help but make about nudists, and to Ms. McMullen, who has been cooking naked for more than two decades, it shows how misunderstood nudism is. Many people think only about the pitfalls — spattering fat, minor burns — and not the benefits.
“Embracing the nudist lifestyle has given me permission to feel my feelings,” she said one morning as she sautéed bell peppers while wearing nothing but a glittery manicure in her home kitchen at the Lake Como Family Nudist Resort in Lutz, about 20 miles north of Tampa. She lives here with her husband, Jayson McMullen.
“But if you want to know the truth,” she added with a resigned sigh, “I buy precooked bacon, and I microwave it on a paper towel.”
The McMullens are two of more than 10 million Americans who identify as nudists, or naturists, according to a 2011 study, the latest available, by the marketing services company Ypartnership and the Harrison Group. Some historians say the modern naturist movement in the West emerged in Europe in the 18th century as a means of promoting health, exposing the body to fresh air and sunlight; others trace its origins to Germany in the 19th century, as an effort to resist industrialization by living simpler and closer to nature.
No-clothes resorts, groups and beaches sprang up, and when Germans immigrated to the United States in the 20th century, some brought along the naturist ethos. Now nudists live all over America — though understandably, many are concentrated in warm-weather locales. Erich Schuttauf, the executive director of the American Association for Nude Recreation, said they tend to skew older, more educated and wealthier. In 2017, the group estimated that nude tourism in Florida, which then had 34 nudist resorts, brought 2.2 million nudist visitors to the state each year.
So it was no surprise when The Chicago Tribune ran a recent feature on the rising popularity of the clothing-free getaway, or “nakation,” Or when Bon Appétit published “9 Rules for Naked Dining: The Etiquette of Nude Resorts.” (Tip No. 7: “Eyes Up Here, Buddy!”) Or when the American Association for Nude Recreation last fall sent out a news release with three recipes — baked chicken-and-rice, a roasted brisket and a chicken lasagna — that it deemed safe for members to bake.
But many nudists balk at any suggestion that cooking — or vacationing, or living in general — is more fraught for them than for the clothed. In fact, when it comes to cooking and dining, many nudists are unequivocal: It’s better naked. They feel less inhibited, more creative.
“It’s like a painter when his mind is free of everything else,” said Jack Clark, who lives part-time at the Lake Como resort. “He paints whatever.”
The nudist movement has historically been connected to food: When it emerged in Europe, it was as much about diet as about clothing. Some nudists avoided meat-heavy dishes, and embraced vegetarianism and healthy eating.
Today, food is still integral to the experience at Lake Como. The oldest continuously operating nudist resort in Florida, it feels like something between a summer camp and a retirement home.
Some nudist clubs and resorts offer either a restaurant or lodgings with kitchens. Lake Como has both, ensuring that guests never have to don clothes to dine. Its full-service restaurant, the Bare Buns Cafe, serves flank steak and shrimp scampi, while a bar called the Butt Hutt, decorated with license plates and string lights, offers naked karaoke and open-mic nights.
There are no dress (or undress) requirements at the restaurant or bar, beyond the rule that each naked guest must bring a towel to sit on, for hygienic reasons. On a Saturday morning in January, a man stared at his phone as he devoured a plate of fried eggs, while another rode by in a golf cart, munching on a powdered doughnut. Others gardened, played volleyball, walked dogs, read books. They just happened to be unclothed.
Residents and guests said most of the people at the resort are white. (Nationally, there are organizations like the Black Naturists Association seeking to build community among nonwhite nudists.)
Some at Lake Como said being naked had helped them cultivate a more positive relationship with food.
Ms. McMullen, 60, a flight attendant, grew up in Massapequa Park, N.Y., and in her late 30s weighed 310 pounds. “I would go to the beach in this giant balloon of a bathing suit, and hear people laughing and whispering,” she said.
A friend recommended that she visit a nude beach in New Jersey. “I got the nerve to get in my car and go, and for the first time, no one was looking at me. No one was judging. I knew right then that this was for me.”
Ms. McMullen has since lost 185 pounds, but considers that less important. All it took to feel good about her appearance, she said, was taking her clothes off.
She spoke about being naked and being a cook as if they were one and the same, as she made carnitas in her electric pressure cooker. Her husband, Mr. McMullen, 63, who is retired from the plumbing business, strummed his guitar.
“It is very creative,” Ms. McMullen said. “It is very do-your-own-thing. You take what you want and leave the rest.”
The McMullens live here but travel often, staying at nude resorts when they can. Their walls are hung with group photos from nude cruises. Ms. McMullen has two adult sons who visit from time to time, and go naked. For occasions that require them, like grocery shopping, the couple maintain a stash of clothes in a room where they keep cleaning supplies.
On the other side of the resort, another couple, Mr. Clark and Maryanne Rettig, prepared to host a dinner party — something they probably wouldn’t have done back when they always wore clothes.
“I was a very shy and nervous and introverted person,” said Mr. Clark, 63. “I’d stay isolated. I didn’t have a lot of friends. The second I was nude, that disappeared in two seconds. My whole life changed.”
Four years ago, Ms. Rettig, 62, was treated for lymph node cancer, which limited the mobility of her right arm. That arm swelled frequently, so she had to wear loosefitting clothes. One day, she accompanied relatives to a nude beach. As soon as she was naked, none of that mattered. She felt comfortable.
The two split their time between Orlando and their house in Lake Como. During the week, Mr. Clark works as an optometrist, and Ms. Rettig runs a nonprofit group called Tampa Bay Free Beaches, which lobbies for opening up more areas of Florida to nude recreation.
“I feel freer and more imaginative when I am nude while cooking,” said Mr. Clark, standing over his stove, tossing clams into garlic broth and boiling angel-hair pasta. A sign above his head read, “It’s naked o’clock somewhere.”
He deftly maneuvered around the kitchen, nearly grazing his belly with a pot of hot water while draining the pasta, wearing only oven mitts. “I’m fine!” he insisted.
Around 5 p.m., guests arrived, each dutifully carrying a towel — though some chairs already had towels draped over them, in case anyone had forgotten. They ate at a table on the deck, paper napkins slung over their thighs, slurping strands of pasta as the sun slid from the sky and Jimmy Buffett crooned from a speaker.
“I used to hate dinner parties,” said Ms. McMullen, who was in attendance. “They were always pretentious. There was all this small talk I didn’t get. Now I get to be myself. I don’t have to hide it when I don’t understand someone.”
That ease, they say, extends to eating out. At the Bare Buns Cafe, government health rules require that the staff be clothed, but most customers dine in the nude.
Nudists “are more friendly and more understanding than people who are not nude,” said the restaurant’s manager, Stephan Krienes, 78, who is not a nudist. “They are not uptight.” He said it took him “about 10 minutes” to adjust to being around naked people.
Tara Pickett, a cook at Lake Como and some other nudist resorts in the area, agreed. “They walk around like they have clothes on,” said Ms. Pickett, 36. “You walk up to someone and don’t even notice they are naked. They make you feel welcome.”
Where the restaurant does struggle, she added, is in hiring help. “When they find out people here are nudists, they seem to shy away,” she said. “They think they have to be nude here, and they don’t.”
Dee Lyman, 52, a bartender at the Butt Hutt, said she missed mixing drinks without a top on — legal in a bar setting, but Mr. Krienes requires uniforms. “I feel constricted,” she said.
For the uninitiated, residents are quick to explain their ways and distinct parlance. It’s “top-free” rather than “topless.” “Community” or “resort,” but never “colony.” Non-nudists are referred to as “textiles,” like a wizard calling out a muggle.
Being a nudist invites questions: Is it the same as swinging? Is it exhibitionist? Predatory? (No, no and no.) What if it’s cold outside?
“The philosophy is, nude when possible, clothed when practical,” Ms. McMullen said.
For all their enthusiasm about eating, cooking can pose some challenges. Ms. McMullen has learned to take a big step back when taking food out of the oven, to avoid being clipped by a hot rack. Her husband mostly refrains from frying, and wears an apron when he does. When grilling, he keeps a good distance from the flame.
Nancy Rehling, a retired restaurant owner who lives at Lake Como, said she wears a T-shirt when she cooks, to combat splatter. “I have scars all over my tummy and the top of my boobs from cooking,” she said — incidents involving fried fish, boiled-over soups and melted cheese, which “really sticks and keeps burning.”
But several cooks pointed out that safety and hygiene concerns are inevitable in any cooking. Table manners are no different whether someone is clothed or not. And a nudist is equally capable of preparing bacon, or any other food, as a cook in a full-length outfit.
“It’s not about the bacon,” Ms. McMullen said. “It’s about the freedom.”

The owner of the tavern was setting up for the late shift which starts at 5:30 in the afternoon and goes until 2am then it changes into a cafe from 6am to 3pm. He was relatively busy and he had different staff working different shifts for both the Tavern and the Cafe.
At five foot three the compact well built male stood at five foot seven in the four inch black suede ankle boots he was wearing. Long black thigh high socks encase his slender, though powerful legs. His well rounded ass was perfectly molded in a pair of cuffed daisy dukes with a black apron tied around his hips. The tantalizing red straps of his thong could be seen riding the crest of his hips above the waistline of his shorts.
His mid-drift was bare showing off a well defined stomach with smooth pale skin. He wore a cream colored half-tank under a red flannel button up which he had tied in a knot. His sleeves were rolled back to his elbows so he could work more easily when a gorgeous blonde walked through the door a half an hour before they opened.
“We’re not open.”
The male said with a stubborn scowl as his gaze landed on the woman. She simply smiled brightly at him and brushed his icy greeting aside and took a seat at the bar. Marcus was getting set up behind the bar while his twin was helping restock and put inventory away.
“Don’t be so frosty Levi Darling. Can’t a mother just come and visit her beloved child?”
The blonde asked with a bright smile as she set her purse on the stool next to her. The black haired male snorted as he hefted up two cases of liquor with little effort. His steel grey-silver blue hues saw through her smile. His mother was playing hooky because she didn’t want to be bothered by a bunch of stuff officials while she was working.
“What are you havin’ Mama Estelle?”
Zander called out from the kitchen where he was getting a head start on the specials of the day. Appetizers and soups where being made before so that people could have a variety of options with a low wait time when they first arrive at the Tavern.
“Surprise me dear. Don’t give me that look Levi I love this place you’ve made. It’s the perfect place to escape to. The administrators still haven’t figured it out.”
She said cheerfully as she swiped her across the front of her eyes from her left ear to her right prompting her mobile computer to form into a visor going across her eyes. The digital screen was comprised of nanites that with eye and hand movement allowed you to adjust what you were seeing. It was a multi-function device that could do all manner of things.
Currently she was working on agricultural disputes on one of the northern Islands that were governed by Reverie. Estelle was great at her job and was much beloved by her people. She was a fierce but fair ruler and her people loved her for it.
“Quit trying to use the excuse you’re coming here to see me. You’ve probably got another eighty years in you before you retire. I’ll worry about those kind of problems then not now. So if you want to stay don’t bother me I’m working.”
He said sternly which garnered him a salute from his mother as she took got down to work in the peaceful atmosphere of the tavern. Marcus casually left her favorite drink on the counter in front of her purse. They couldn’t legally serve it to her until opening but if she so happened to take it off the counter when no one was looking who could possibly fault them for that?
It was about five minutes to opening when two males Levi and the others hadn’t seen before walked in. Both were good looking though the one was wearing glasses but he pulled them off at least with the rest of his body. He was delivering a few trays of food around since they had five minutes before they opened.
Everything served before opening was free except for booze since they couldn’t serve that until they were officially open for business. He had three pitchers of beer in one had and a tray of food in the other. The beers would stay in his hand for another five minutes until they were officially open and then he would set them down on their tables.
He noticed the one male stop and stare at him until his friend dragged him over to a nearby table that was unoccupied at the moment. There were a bunch of regulars already there already who generally came in after work to hang out and relax. Zander would feed them until it was opening time when they would have to start paying for both food and drink.
Levi had no problem with it. He also made it a standing practice that if the homeless wandered in they were fed for free if they couldn’t pay for it. His mother wasn’t the only one who was much beloved by their people. He was well known for his harsh but fair nature. Everyone knew he wasn’t one to be trifled with though he would go out of his way to help people.
His wrath was as mighty as his kindness was great. His life style was completely his own and he dared anyone to say otherwise. He didn’t suffer the media hounds or paparazzi beating down his door or sneaking around trying to use him for a story. They had fucked over several of his relationships as a teenager and his wrath had been all powerful then as well.
Everyone had learned quickly not to incur the wrath of the prince. That also meant fucking with his little sisters too. They had enough trouble with that from their mother over the years. The damn woman usually had a camera of some kind within her reach at all times. It was fucking irritating since most of his life has been documented by her. He was pretty sure the she video taped him loosing his virginity. It was just something that had happened but she had been weirdly happy for like a week after he got laid. It was suspicious.
It was five minutes after they opened officially when he passed the newcomer again and he said something Levi didn’t hear very often. This male was obviously very bold indeed as he called Levi gorgeous. Everyone in the tavern within ear shot looked in the male’s direction and then looked to Levi to see how he was going to take the stranger’s odd request.
Estelle was watching her son from behind her Vi-Com. With a few discreet hand gestures she started recording her son and the strange boy who was propositioning him. It was one of her joys in life; to catalogue different aspects of her children’s lives and save them for posterity’s sake. And for her own enjoyment as well. It was a joy she enjoyed sharing with her husband as well.
“Hoho... I’m Levi and if you show me yours I’ll show you mine sexy.”
Levi purred at the male. His eyes now that he could see them were a complete turn on. It didn’t take him long to realize what kind of person he was dealing with when he started to take off his clothes right there in the middle of the tavern. His friend’s reaction was also an indicator that the sexy stranger was obviously very honest and very literal in everything he does.
He found it funny that his friend though he was being sarcastic. It must be because of his face. He got that often enough because he didn’t deal with anyone’s drama but his own. He wasn’t sure why but it seemed to be the case more often than not.
It was entertaining watching Eren’s friend attempt to hold his friend off. He had almost thought the poor bastard was trying to cock block him that he had almost asked him if he wanted to see him naked too or if he just wanted to fuck. Though Eren made his personality very clear as the conversation went on. He even had to laugh when he offered to marry him just to see him naked.
Soon Eren was pressing up against him and making his body tingle at his touch. He knew he was going to be fucking this male and he was dying to see what was underneath. However when his friend mentioned sexual harassment he was officially cock blocking him the fucker. Sure it was probably because of his Eren’s personality but damn. Couldn’t the guy read the signals he was obviously throwing his way.
“I thought you wanted to see me naked Cher? It’s not strip night or I’d be more than willing to take most of my clothes off here but we can go to one of the private party rooms and I can give you a special welcome to Reverie just for you.”
He purred walking over to the table where Eren had sat down and only the two of them. Well the three of them including Petra who had had to clean up the other guys drink when he had dropped it. She had the grace not to say a thing mostly because there were few people who ever got Levi’s attention enough on the first meeting for him to say something like that on a first meeting.
Levi was surprise when he was picked up off of his feet in the middle of the tavern and carried to the back rooms after giving Eren a few directions. Once on his feet again Levi watched with appreciative eyes as Eren removed all his clothes and then told Levi it was his turn.
With a confidant smirk Levi slowly began to take off his clothes making a sexy production out of the process. The first thing to go was his flannel shirt slowly followed by his tank top. That he showed Eren his back to so that he could watch as it slowly rose uncovering his tattoos which splendidly covered his skin.
Turning he tossed his shirt on Eren’s chest where he had sat him down on one of the couches in the room. It was one of the rooms mainly used for karaoke so not only was it sound proof when the door was closed but it was also one of the most comfortable rooms for doing what he intended to use the room for.
Facing Eren his slowly slid his hands down the his parted legs then slowly ran them back up the insides of his legs to his crotch as he slowly turned around. Slowly he ran his hands down his back and over his ass to his thighs and up again to remove the apron. Once that was gone he slowly undid the buttons on his shorts and slowly slid them over his ass which he had point.
All that was left was the thin scrap of cloth that was Levi’s thong. Slowly Levi stepped out of his heels and made a production of taking off each of his socks until he finally finished by slowly, teasingly taking off his thong. Once he was fully naked he slid onto Eren’s lap. The huge erection an obvious sign that he wanted him made Levi wet with wanting that fat cock buried deep inside of him.
His mouth descended on Eren’s hot and heavy like an inferno of passion. Eren’s hands were all over his body touching and teasing as if he were memorizing his body which if he was honest was a complete turn on. Levi impatiently grinded against Eren there on the couch. The two of them fully naked and needing the release they could only find in each other’s  arms.
