for a second I was wondering if it was counterproductive for Nene to be attacking Blastmon since she works for the antagonist, but then I remembered that she’s actually working for the antagonist’s brother. brothers are a big deal in this show.

seeing the goddess statue made Baalmon pause and let Taiki retrieve his Xros Loader... perhaps he cannot bare to fight underhandedly while being watched over by a goddess? he was one of the angel Digimon that lived here at one point, if I remember right...

Lillismon is still around & is probably going to come in and kick Blastmon out of the zone for doing a bad job. oh yeah that’s right she’s the one who hired Baalmon in the first place.

rip Taiki. he fell in a pit.

the goddess statue also fell in the pit and then bathed Taiki in a mysterious light, so it’s not all bad. according to Baalmon, this means that Taiki is now a warrior of the light — and because of that, Baalmon probably isn’t going to try and assasinate him anymore?

now we get to hear all about the warriors of the goddess. they’re anyone with courage and justice in their hearts, and trained under Angemon. something tells me that Baalmon must’ve done something, made some bad choices, to become uncouragous and unjust.

we kinda get to see a different side of Taiki here. he’s usually focused on leading the team, but right now he’s following Baalmon’s lead, so he just wanders behind Baalmon and points out everything that strikes his curiousity. like we don’t normally get to see what Taiki acts like without any looming responsibility.

Baalmon did have to make some choices, but they weren’t necessarily unjust or why he wasn’t accepted by the goddess. he had to kill his fellow warriors of the goddess, but he did it out of self-defense since they were all being mind-controlled and trying to kill him. that mark that was on his allies’ heads is the same as the ones that got stuck on the Xros Heart Digimon’s heads, so that’s not good. also, that’s why he still respects the goddess so much and refuses to fight dirty or attack Taiki under her gaze — even after all this time and all he’s done, he still wants her approval.

oh no... Lillismon was the one who was controlling the Edemon! she’s the one that mind-controlled the warriors of the goddess! so that means that Baalmon was unwittingly working under the very Digimon he was trying to hunt down...

Taiki I genuinely love your enthusiasm but it’s kinda hard to save someone who’s already been stabbed

Baalmon is dying, and right after we found out he was actually a decent guy! So team Xros Heart is going to summon a pyramid to fix him.
