Game of Thrones 🐦🐺🐲
The season finale...I was prepared for everything because after what happened until the last season anyone could die at any time but I’m glad nothing like that happened.
I enjoyed all the exchanges and dialogues between characters, from Bronn (absolute king of sass) and Jamie’s usual bickering (like the c*ck one) to Brienne and The Hound talking about Arya, that was nice.
Cersei’s doom theme playing in the background brought anxiety but then Jon spoke and the dead was unleashed and Cersei got scared and she finally said something sensible...but then Jon said he was only loyal to Daenerys, which was cool but also dangerous, so very Ned Stark-ish. I liked his speech about telling the truth, it was very inspiring. I also liked his exchange with Dany after. He is a man of few words but he’s incredibly honest and open when he speaks, so when he told her nice things it was so heartfelt and pure, I was touched. Also he was funny when she said she can’t have children. “Who told you” “the witch who killed my husband” “have you considered that it might not be a reliable source of information?” ...that made me laugh because wtf, he’s right. In fact I have a feeling she’ll get pregnant next season with his son. And that their son and the Lannisters might have a connection in the future, like an alliance or something. but this might be far fetched or cheesy or not revolutionary enough so who knows.
After all we don’t even know if Cersei and her son will survive, even though this new arc is no longer about local wars between houses, but the living against the dead. I really love this global atmosphere, where everyone cooperates to survive. Or should cooperate, and not thanks to Cersei and Euron plotting. I hope that is a red herring since the White Walkers are on the move.
Actually they’re not on the move, they f*ckin’ destroyed the wall...major anxiety, also that zombie dragon...I hope Tormund never dies tho.
I also liked how winter has come, the snow, the grey skies, it was beautiful. this whole season was shot with grey-cold tones, also characters’ costumes were dark, beautiful. And Dragonstone’s architecture is my favourite, the throne room is so cool.
Theon's moment with Jon was intense, and his badass (in his own way) fight was cool too. I hope he frees Yara, I love Yara.
Oh, Tyrion’s scene with Cersei was very intense, I liked it very very much. Tyrion is awesome~
Sam going to Winterfell was another cool part, his whole dialogue with Bran was interesting (also Sam’s faces..“Oh wow. you became a 3 eyed raven” haha) and the way he told Bran to see about Jon was so cool! Because Bran sees everything but Sam directed him to see the right thing, I like Sam, he’s smart.
Sooo he did listen to Gilly that time...soo Jon is Rhaegar’s legitimate son, and the rightful heir to the Seven Kingdoms, that’s some twist. I got kinda lost with the intricacies of what degree he’s related to Dany? I assumed they were brothers but she’s his aunt since he’s her brother’s son? Soo it’s not that sinful and forbidden right? Also I was too busy fangirling over Jon and Dany by then~
Last but not least my favourite part. The Stark sisters teaming up against Littlefinger was the best thing EVER!
I was worried about Sansa talking about Arya to Littlefinger again, I really feared she’d get swayed like it happened many times, even though Littlefinger was off when he told Sansa that Arya wanted to become Lady of Winterfell. that’s so not Arya-like. Anyway she didn’t fall for it, she grew up, she’s smart and badass and strong now, and she is perfectly capable of dealing with any situation. And how she tricked him was so cool, how she spilled everything he did and she quoted his game and paralleled his manipulations to pit her again Arya to what he did to their mother and Lysa Arrin, that was brilliant. And Bran butting in (finally) to reveal about the dagger...Really, Littlefinger was the one who started the fight between Starks and Lannisters, everything is his fault. His death marks the end of an era and is well deserved. Also Arya killing him swiftly, having her revenge and also doing justice. Being Sansa’s hand, basically.
Their moment outside was so beautiful, Arya telling Sansa she wouldn’t have survived the things she went through (also showing that they talked and they know everything about each other now...)and Sansa replying that she would have because she’s the strongest person she knows, than their sister-like bickering and Sansa calling her weird and annoying, I could watch a whole episode with them strolling around Winterfell like this, bonus points with Bran randomly saying something.
In conclusion, I love Game of Thrones.
