With the “HoneyPre 1st Anniversary Live” behind them, the members of Full Throttle4 commenced the preparations for their next live.

They gathered for a meeting to come up with the best ways to surprise LIPxLIP, mona, and Minami even further.

However, the other members noticed that IV was behaving differently from how he usually would, and grew concerned about him—

A few days after the “HoneyPre 1st Anniversary Live”—

IV: …And that’s how it is for now, but do you get the idea about how the next song is going to go?

MEGU: Yup! It sounds really good!

RIO: You’re going to polish it up a little more, aren’t you?

IV: Of course I will. I’ll let you listen to it again once it’s completed.

DAI: So are we done with talking ‘bout the new song? Let’s jump to the main topic, yeah?

DAI: I’m dying to talk about the next live.

IV: You’re really looking forward to it, aren’t you?

MEGU: We got to see our cute juniors try their very best during the last live, didn’t we?

MEGU: I wanna show them an even more amazing performance, y’know~☆

YUI: As we’re their seniors, we gotta show them the differences in our abilities, right?!

DAI: We’d be the only ones performing at our next live, so let’s run as wild as we want.

MEGU: Dooon’t you just wanna make LIPxLIP make even mooore expressions of frustration?!

DAI: Let’s make sure that they know they’ll never be a match for us.

YUI: I’ll be sure to provoke Minami this time.

RIO: That’d be next to impossible for you, though.

MEGU: I wanna see a look of frustration on mona’s face too~☆

DAI: That’d be an easily understood response, yeah?

IV: (Phew, it looks like they were a good source of motivation for Full Throttle4 after all.)

IV: I’ve come up with a few ideas for the live.

IV: I’ve also had some discussions with MEGU and DAI about it.

MEGU: I’m thinking of how I should go about adding a solo part for the dance.

RIO: That sounds like a good idea. You can decide on how long it’s going to be, and direct it as you please…

DAI: I’m prolly gonna stand out because of the stark differences between the quality of my performance compared to you guys.

MEGU: But I’m gonna give a sharp and snappy performance too, y’know?

YUI: I wanna try performing with a video in the background!

RIO: Wouldn’t it be interesting if we tried to perform a live comprised of nothing but new songs?

IV: (They’re coming up with more and more ideas… They’re really looking forward to the solo live, aren’t they?)

IV: (This could get really interesting.)

RIO: …So, what do you think, IV?

IV: All of it sounds good. I’ll think over your ideas when I get home.

IV: We need to look for the next step that Full Throttle4’s gonna take.

IV: …Oh, it’s time for the staff meeting. I’ll be heading off first, but will you guys still remain here?

MEGU: We’ve got some time before our interview, so… we’ll be chatting for a little longer!

RIO: Would it be fine if we emailed the ideas that we come up with to you, IV?

IV: Yeah, I’ll leave that to you. …Well then, see you tomorrow.

DAI: Hey… IV, don’t you look rather pale?

MEGU: Aren’t you feeling a little tired?

IV: …I’m as equally tired as you guys. Well then, don’t be late for your next job, okay?

YUI: I don’t think… he’s as equally tired as us, though.

RIO: I’m worried about him…

MEGU: I knew IV has been working way too hard lately…! What if he collapses again…?

DAI: That guy takes on each and everything by himself, huh.

YUI: What does IV normally do anyway?

RIO: He writes our new songs, attends staff meetings, deals with all of the formal procedures, and the paperwork too…

MEGU: He reeeally does do everything!

DAI: Didn’t I just say that he does everything?!

MEGU: If he’s working this hard all by himself, he’ll collapse from overwork!

YUI: …That’d be bad, won’t it?

YUI: Why don’t we take over IV’s work for him? That way, he can get some rest, right?!

MEGU: That’s true! Agree~eed!

RIO: It’s decided, then!

RIO: There’s only a short while before the live, huh…

YUI: IV said that he used our ideas for the live, and that the prep is going well.

MEGU: I’m not the least bit worried about our singing and performances because they’re already good, yeah~?

DAI: But even though we said that we’d take over IV’s work for him, we haven’t been able to do anything at all!

YUI: Yeah! Exactly!

MEGU: I’ve tried to take over IV’s work for him too, y’know?

MEGU: But, the other day, when I went to the studio to get the equipment to be returned, I found that it had already been returned.

YUI: Yesterday, I wanted to gather up and submit those TV questionnaires, but…

RIO: But IV had already collected all of them a short while before you could, right?

YUI: I didn’t know he did it because I’d left my questionnaire in the dressing room that I was writing it in, only to return to find it gone.

DAI: That’s your own fault, ain’t it?

MEGU: In the end, IV was the one who did all the work, right~?

RIO: I never expected that we wouldn’t be able to take over even a single one of IV’s jobs for him.

YUI: We weren’t able to fully understand a lot of his tasks, huh…

RIO: Though, I’m even more worried about IV’s health now.

MEGU: Huh? Speaking of IV, did something happen to him? Isn’t it unusual for him to be late?

RIO: He’s going to join us here after he’s done with his meeting about the upcoming filming for TV.

MEGU: He’s working as awesomely as always again today, yeah?

DAI: This ain’t the time to be impressed with him!

YUI: We should come up with some way or other to get him to take a break, right?

RIO: I feel the same way. There’s no meaning to it if all five of us aren’t here.

MEGU: But what exactly do we have to do?

DAI: Who knows? IV usually handles all of the work, and he even attends meetings with the staff…

DAI: Let’s just go to the studio for now. We’ll figure something out.

MEGU: Right!

DAI: I can’t wait to see the look on IV’s face. He usually doesn’t get surprised all that easily.

MEGU: His jaw may drop wide open in surprise! We can tell the guys all about it when it happens.

DAI: C’mon, let’s hurry. He’ll get here soon if we don’t get a move on.

MEGU: Good mooorning! I’m looking forward to shooting the MV with everyone today.

Female Staff: Good morning. I’m looking forward to working with you today.

DAI: If there’s something that needs to be done here, we’ll take care of it.

MEGU: We’re here to help out in IV’s stead todaaay.

Female Staff: Eh? In IV’s stead…?

DAI: We’ll do anything that you tell us to.

Female Staff: No, there’s nothing in particular to be done here. Please wait for just a while till the shooting starts.

MEGU: Eh, for real…?

DAI: IV always seems to be busy before our shootings start though, right?

MEGU: Maybe it just so happens that there’s no work to be done right now! Let’s ask the staff over there.

MEGU: Mr. Staaaff, do you need help with carrying the equipment?

Male Staff: I’m fine, it’d be dangerous for you to help out. I’m just about done with the preparations anyway.

DAI: Then, if there’s a pre-shooting meeting or something, we’re available to join it.

Male Staff: The meeting is already underway at the moment, so there’s nothing in particular that you have to do, yeah!

MEGU: Yeees. Understood…

DAI: Oi, oi… Did he really just say that the meeting’s already underway right now?!

MEGU: Are you talking about the staff meeting?

DAI: No, I mean, the meeting can’t even happen if the performers aren’t there, right?

IV: Huh? You guys are really early, aren’t you?

MEGU: Eh, IV?!

DAI: Why’re you already here…?!

IV: But I’m always in the studio at around this time of day?

IV: My meeting with the director is almost over, so if there’s anything you need, I’m all ears.

IV: It’s all done, of course. You two can wait on standby, okay?

YUI: I’m counting on you guys today!

YUI: It does! Wait, huh? Maybe it’s a local rule? Either way, aren’t you being way too cruel by skipping my turn?!

DAI: Idiooot. Games are more fun when we’re merciless to each other.

RIO: Reverse.

DAI: Whaaat?! But it’s my turn!

YUI: Nice one, RIO! It’s my turn again… Wait, I can’t put any cards down… I’ll pass.

MEGU: Yup, yuuup! I’m putting a card down~.

MEGU: …Y’know, doesn’t it feel like it’s been a really long time since we last did something like this~?

YUI: Right? I can’t remember when the last time we had time off in the evenings was.

DAI: The choreography of my dance solo needs to be checked later, so I’ll leave the checking to you, IV.

MEGU: Ah, that sounds nice. I wanna do it too! Can I, IV?

IV: Of course.

RIO: IV, you said that you wanted to spend some time with everyone, but… are you really fine with spending it like this?

IV: Yeah, this is perfect.

RIO: That’s good, then. Though, I have something to check with you regarding the live…

DAI: Same here. I’ve drawn rough sketches of the costumes for our next live.

IV: You work really fast, don’t you? Let me see them later, okay?

YUI: Come to think of it, I wanted to try writing lyrics, so I’ve written some down.

MEGU: Ehh. I reallyyy wanna see them!

YUI: Not now! I’m not done with them yet.

IV: How interesting. As for the song… what do you think about co-writing it with RIO?

RIO: That’s not a bad idea.

MEGU: Ehh, that sounds niceee. I wanna do something like that tooooo!

DAI: But you’re already in charge of the choreography.

MEGU: But I wanna try something new toooooo! Ah, how ‘bout this! I wannaaaa do an MC corner or something!

YUI: Lemme join in on that kinda thing too, yeah?

IV: Then, let’s talk about the live once this game ends, okay?

MEGU: Somehow, this kinda reminds me of when we were fooling around in IV’s hospital ward.

DAI: You’re talking about the times when all of us would visit him to check in, yeah?

YUI: But those were less of check ins, and more of visits to play around, right?

DAI: You’re the only one who thinks that way, though?

MEGU: Exaaactly, you’re the one who aaalways brought in a microphone to sing.

MEGU: What a turn-off.

YUI: Huuh?! But you’re the one who was always yelling in the ward?!

DAI: You guys were the ones who always got us scolded each and every time, weren’t you?

RIO: Well, you all were going against the visitor rules of the hospital…

MEGU: But there’s no doubt in my mind that I was visiting him because I was worried about him.

IV: Haha, you didn’t seem to be worried, though.

RIO: In the end, regardless of the scolding we received, we ended up fooling around again immediately after, right?

YUI: Nothing can stop us when we’re all together, yeah?

DAI: What’s with that? How lame.

YUI: Oi!

IV: (They haven’t changed a bit from how they were back then…)

MEGU: I don’t wanna get scolded anymore, so please don’t get hospitalised again, okay~?

Every time all of them laughed together, IV found himself thinking that, as long as he was together with those members, they would be able to create history in the future…

That thought still had not changed a bit. Therefore, he could not afford to stop yet.

DAI: Then why didn’t you tell us that you noticed it?!

IV: I was just waiting to see what you guys were up to.

RIO: So in other words, we weren’t able to hide it from you at all.

MEGU: You’re kidding~. How embarrassing!

YUI: You saw right through us, and yet you kept quiet about it. Your personality sucks.

IV: I don’t think the four of you are any better, with all of that sneaking around, though?

YUI: Ugh… Well, you have a point, but…

IV: In any case, I found out about it, so you guys should just come clean about everything.

IV: What are you trying to hide from me?

DAI: Fine. I give up…

DAI: We were trying to take over your work for you, IV.

MEGU: We’ve been talking about how pale you’ve looked as of late, y’know?

YUI: We figured that you may be overworking yourself.

RIO: We’ve been leaving all of the backstage work to you, after all. So we decided that we’d try to take over the parts of your work that we could.

IV: …I see. So that’s why you’ve been arriving on-site early, and contacting the staff yourselves.

DAI: But in the end, you beat us to each and every thing, and we couldn’t get anything done at all.

IV: You guys don’t have to worry about me, though…

DAI: Huuh?! Don’t be stupid! Who wouldn’t worry about their friends?

MEGU: Exactly! Isn’t it a given that we’d be worried about you?!

RIO: IV… It’d be terrible if anything happened to you.

IV: I think we’ve managed to make it this far because of the four of you.

IV: None of it would’ve been possible without you guys as the members of Full Throttle4.

YUI: Well… that’s true. It’s not like there’s anyone who could replace us.

IV: Precisely. You guys are the only ones who could stand onstage and sing and dance as part of Full Throttle4.

IV: What our fans, our SICKS, want to see is you guys having the time of your lives as you perform.

IV: You all have to be very well-prepared if you want to live up to their expectations.

IV: You guys can’t afford to worry about any other unnecessary things, can you?

YUI: How dare you call that unnecessary!

RIO: Hold it. Let’s hear him out till the end.

IV: Just like how you guys are the only ones who are able to do what you do onstage—

IV: Supporting Full Throttle4 is something that no one else but I can do.

IV: That’s why… you guys can leave the backstage work to me.

IV: I’ll take care of everything so that you guys can focus on your performance.

IV: That’s my job, after all. It could also be considered as my identity, I think.

MEGU: But IV, aren’t you tired from how busy you are?

IV: I don’t feel tired at all. I enjoy working, you know?

IV: I love watching the backs of you four, as well as the pumped up crowd, from my place at the DJ booth.

IV: Being able to see that view makes me think of that spot as my very own special seat. 

IV: I’m up for doing anything in order to see that view. 

MEGU: If you put it that way~...

IV: It’s the truth.

IV: And you guys are the only ones who are able to show me that view. The best of the best of views, right?

RIO: …Of course we are.

YUI: So you just want us to focus on the live, huh…

IV: I’m glad that you understand.

DAI: How could we not understand?! We’ll be able to understand everything you tell us.

YUI: Since IV said all that, we’ve just gotta give our performance all we’ve got, right?

DAI: I’m gonna go all out for the live, so be excited for it, ‘kay?

IV: Yeah, I’m looking forward to it.

YUI: Hold on a min, shouldn’t IV take a break in preparation for the live, then?

MEGU: You have a point.

DAI: Right? It wouldn’t be professional at all to go onstage with such a pale face.

DAI: There’s no way that you’re thinking of being the only one floundering around till the actual performance, no?

IV: That’s true… But I don’t think I’ll be able to get a day off, though…

DAI: Oi! Why you…!

IV: But, to tell you guys the truth, we unexpectedly have time off tomorrow evening.

MEGU: Eh! For reals~?!

IV: The recording of the program that was scheduled for that time was called off on short notice because something came up with the other performers.

IV: Thanks to that, I have nothing planned from tomorrow evening till the morning of the following day.

YUI: For real?! That means that all five of us are off at the same time, right?!

MEGU: What should we do~?! It’s been a really long time since that last happened~!

DAI: We don’t have anything special to do, though, right?

RIO: How about playing games together?

YUI: Awwwright!

MEGU: Good idea~. Let’s also talk about the upcoming live too, yeah?

YUI: Oh man, I’m so excited!

RIO: Hey, hold on for a bit. IV, how would you like to spend your time off? 

IV: Isn’t it obvious, of course?

MEGU: Heheheh~♪ Take this, draw four! Go on, IV, make that frustrated face of yours!

IV: Too bad, have a draw four from me as well.

DAI: Weird coincidence, take one from me too.

RIO: Draw four.

YUI: Eh? Eh? …Huuh?! I don’t have any though!

MEGU: Ahaha. Go on and draw 16 cards, then~!

YUI: This isn’t fair! You’re playing by local rules, aren’t you?!

RIO: Who knows?

YUI: Dammiiit! I’ll make my comeback soon enough!

IV: Haha, I’m looking forward to that.

IV found himself unable to hold back a smile when he saw how frustrated YUI was. The holiday that he had not taken in a long while passed raucously, just like that.

MEGU: Today will be the day when we manage to surprise IV by taking over his work for him!

DAI: Will we actually be able to do it this time?

MEGU: Even IV wouldn’t be able to predict a last-minute meeting, right~?!

MEGU: Let’s be the ones to get through the meeting here and now.

DAI: We’re supposed to discuss how we’re gonna announce our new song, as well as talk about our upcoming live, on the radio, right? 

MEGU: Leave the talking to me. I’ll be sure to make it real exciting.

DAI: Yeah, your commentary sure is rather exciting. Well, you’re not as good as me, though.

MEGU: Yeah, yeah.

Staff: Good morning!

MEGU: It’s nice to meet yooou!

Staff: Huh, you guys are early, aren’t you?

MEGU: We were so pumped up that we rushed right over.

MEGU: Let’s go over today’s scriiipt! Let the meeting begin!

Staff: I’m grateful that you guys are so motivated! 

Staff: But the review of the script, as well as the meeting to go over it has already been done, so I leave the checking of the fine details to you, please.

DAI: Eh… Um, who…

Staff: IV was the one who took care of that.

Staff: After he finalised the script, we had a meeting with him to review it, so there aren’t any problems at all.

MEGU: Ehh?! He went over all of these documents?!

DAI: There are written additions… in IV’s handwriting. “Talk about the stage costumes in great detail.”, huh.

MEGU: He wrote that I should describe “The choreography in great detail.”.

MEGU: Wh-when did he check all of this over…?

Staff: Also, IV told me to tell you two that you guys should talk about some juniors that have piqued your interest as of late.

MEGU: When he says “juniors”... Is he talking about LIPxLIP?

DAI: I guess so. We know for a fact that the listeners would get real excited if we mention the names of those guys.

MEGU: It’d cause a buzz on the Internet too, right…?

DAI: Geez, just how far ahead was he thinking when he made that suggestion…?

MEGU: He’s always so busy from dawn till dusk every single day, so just when did he attend the meeting?

DAI: We’re just no match for IV, huh…

That afternoon—

YUI: Haah, I guess that recording marks the end of the day. That was pretty hard, huh.

DAI: It’s nothing compared to what IV has to deal with, though.

MEGU: That’s true, but…!

RIO: Have you guys finished changing? Let’s gather up our costumes and bring them out.

DAI: Eh? We hung our costumes up on the rack.

YUI: I was thinking that we could take our costumes to the cleaners by ourselves today.

MEGU: IV usually takes care of jobs like this too, right~?

RIO: Whether it was prep for the live, or prep for other things, he had already done it all…

YUI: I’m seriously worried about his health!

RIO: I’ve been wondering about his usual workload, but…

RIO: Having checked it out again, his workload truly is outrageous, isn’t it?

YUI: Yeaaah. I think he definitely needs to take a break, though…

YUI: MEGU and DAI said that they’d take care of it, but they weren’t able to do anything at all!

RIO: Up till now, IV’s been taking care of all the backstage work for us, hasn’t he?

RIO: Even though we want to take over his job for him, it can’t be helped that we’re not used to it at all.

RIO: We have no choice but to stick to doing what we’re able to…

YUI: Let’s start off by doing what we can, okay?

YUI: I’d like to book a studio… It’s for an upcoming recording session.

YUI: It’s already been booked?! …Understood. Thank you very much.

RIO: It is a pleasure to work with you. I’m RIO from Full Throttle4.

RIO: I’m calling to ask if I could rent some equipment… Eh? IV had already done so earlier…?

RIO: …Aah,  is that so? If that’s so, there are no problems on my end.

RIO: Yes, yes. I see… I understand…

YUI: I guess I don’t needa ask how that went, huh?

RIO: They told me that IV had already contacted them to arrange for the equipment rental.

YUI: Seriously, IV works way too fast, doesn’t he?!

RIO: It seems that he starts to make arrangements the moment our schedules are finalised.

RIO: Also, the staff from the equipment rental company told me that…

RIO: They don’t usually rent equipment to people with ambiguous schedules because of the possibility of cancellations.

RIO: However, they make an exception for Full Throttle4 because of how much they trust IV. 

YUI: So in other words, you're saying that the reason why our work goes so smoothly is because of IV’s good work ethic?

RIO: That seems to be the case. It’s all due to his personal virtue and trustworthiness.

YUI: Haah~, will we even be able to take over the job of a guy like that?

RIO: But we have to do it for his sake, don’t we?

YUI: I know, but… This “enemy” is way too powerful for its own good!

IV: An enemy? You guys seem to be talking about something interesting. What’s it about?

RIO: We’re just talking about the next live.

RIO: YUI suggested having a game-like performance, saying that it would be interesting.

YUI: Can we go to that meeting in your stead?

IV: You two have recordings for TV and radio programs, don’t you? Staying in good condition for that is also a fine part of your job.
