Why is JS so popular
Folks will tell you JavaScript is the only native language for the browser. This is true. It has been true for 20 years. The recent surge in popularity is not because JavaScript is the only option in the browser.
There are several major factors behind the increasing popularity of JavaScript.
ECMAScript 2016 (ES6) & Beyond
JavaScript is one of the fastest changing languages, but this is only a recent phenomenon. It’s based on the ECMAScript specification, which had major changes in the 2016 version. JavaScript introduced classes, generators, async/await, arrow functions, let, const, sets, and all kinds of other great features that make programming enjoyable. These new features were clearly inspired by other languages, making JavaScript a melting pot of ideas many developers like.
Evergreen Browsers
Let’s face it, old browsers suck. They suck because they don’t have the new features that make development easier. Internet Explorer was one of the most popular browsers for an extended period of time. Users had to download new versions of IE on their own, meaning developers were always catering to the lowest common denominator. IE6. Yeah. Ugh.
Chrome was the first browser to introduce automatic updates, i.e. forever green/fresh. This was a game-changing feature because it increased the pace at which the world updated their browsers…. which also means they’re updating the browser’s JavaScript engine. That obviously means developers are free to use newer features sooner. Ultimately, this feature has helped reduce technical debt in web code by allowing developers to trim the fat as the browsers evolve.
Node.js
Node was not the first to expand JavaScript capabilities beyond the browser, but it was one of the most well thought out and clearly has the most traction. By allowing developers to use JavaScript outside of the browser, Node.js removed the language learning curve for a lot of people. As a result, people can learn about new technology instead of new languages. Projects like Electron showcase this, which allows developers to explore desktop app development using a language they already understand.
Browser Powerups
Browsers are now significantly more powerful than they’ve ever been before. Think about things like geolocation, push notifications, desktop alerts, websockets, WebRTC, service workers, web workers, etc. Those API’s are all exposed through JavaScript.
The Influence of JSON
JSON = JavaScript Object Notation. While this is just a data format, it’s an insanely popular one that was born of JavaScript. As API’s grew in popularity and XML decreased in popularity, JSON took over. This was amplified by the NoSQL movement, which primarily used JSON as the format for storing documents. As a result, the development world was exposed to JavaScript concepts whether individuals used the language or not. This familiarity opened more people up to using JavaScript.
It’s Peculiar
JavaScript doesn’t follow all the rules of yesteryear. It doesn’t have strict typing. It uses prototypal inheritance. Most JS engines (browser) interact with a document object model (DOM) and a styling language (think CSS selectors). All of these oddities create for an interesting language. Some people love it, some hate it. That division creates alot of discussion, which is Marketing 101. Emotions aside, everyone is at least aware of JavaScript.

How Many Calories Do I Burn In A Day? How To Calculate It And Increase It!
How many steps to burn 1 calorie, you usually start with the first question being, "How many calories do I burn in a day right now? If it's a whole bunch, then I'm not going to work that hard. If it's hardly anything to begin with, then I'm going to give up now while I still have some dignity."
Ok, so that's more of a joke, but I'll honestly attest that probably most people that attempt to lose weight, give up just that easily. They see where they are, they see where they want to be, and then they say "Screw it."

Well, you might be interested to learn that the number of calories that you're burning each day right now may only require a very small adjustment to result in you losing as much weight as you choose.
And while there are quite a few equations, formulas, and online web applications that will help you to analytically discover your daily caloric burn, I'm going to show you a much simpler way to formulate this answer and how you can use this knowledge to improve your current fat loss efforts.
Calculating Your Daily Calories Burned Depends On Your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate)
The beginning, middle, and end of this idea of burning calories throughout the day all has to do with your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate). Your BMR is the rate that determines how many calories you need in order to continue working your basic functions.
These basic functions constitute most of your vital bodily operations like breathing, sleeping, breaking down food, pumping your heart and blood, and even adjusting your internal temperature. That means everyone's BMR is always working regardless of how fast they claim it is.
Realistically, most people's BMR runs at about the same pace. Of course their are special cases that'll break the bell curve like individuals who burn calories abnormally fast and it's difficult for them to put on weight. (I'm very jealous of those people)
The opposite effect can also occur with strangely slow metabolisms, but for the most part, everyone is in the middle, running at nearly the same pace when you don't take into account physical activity lifestyle levels. Your physical activities for the day are the other part of this calorie-burning equation.
There Are Just Too Many Factors To Get A Perfectly Accurate Figure (For Your Daily Burn)
Determining how many calories someone burns in a day is insanely complicated because there are almost too many factors and variables to take into account. Ultimately, your daily calories burned is decided by a combination of your BMR (using your current weight) and your daily physical activity.
If you do a quick search, you can find a number of those calories burned calculator sites on the web that you can visit to type in all sorts of data about what you did during the day and they'll spit out a number that may or may not be relatively close.
Most of those web apps are made with simple JavaScript that adds up values based on various fitness rules like:
1. How many calories in a pound? A pound of muscle burns about 6 calories each day.
2. A pound of fat burns about 2 calories each day.
3. Walking burns between 80 - 100 calories per mile.
4. If you're male, your result should be between 2,000 - 2,400 calories a day.
5. If you're female, your result should be between 1,800 - 2,100 calories a day.
The first 3 rules have enough research to probably be referred to as facts. I'm not so sure about 4 & 5.
But after you take the time to remember everything that you did, try to figure out how many jumping jacks you did, and how many steps you took around the office...it's almost not worth it after I explain the simple way to get just as close of an estimate.
BMR Equations And Formulas - Complicated, But There's A Simpler Way...
While I do have to give credit to those calorie burning apps for... well... existing...so people can use them, I only hope that they're loosely based on one of the established BMR equations or formulas instead of just "adding up all the calories".
The first three equations that really attempted to answer the question "How many calories do I burn in a day?" are the Harris-Benedict, Mifflin, and Katch-McArdle equations. All three took into account the person's weight, height, and age, but it was the Katch-McArdle formula that was first to integrate lean body mass into the equation.
Now, for an imaginary woman who is 55 years old, 130 lbs (59kg), 5' 6" (168cm) tall, and 30% body fat, these three formulas would produce the following results:
Harris - Benedict Equation = 1272 calories
Mifflin Equation = 1204 calories
Katch-McArdle Formula = 1263 calories
So, for this imaginary woman to maintain her body weight, she needs to consume around 1246 calories each day. That's what her body demands based on her current stats. (Her stats are also imaginary)
The Simple Formula To Answer "How Many Calories Do I Burn In A day?"
Now I know that I've been dangling a carrot in front of your face up to this point, but now I'll reveal how you can formulate the answer to your calorie-burning question. A quick, yet somewhat accurate, estimate of your BMR can be done by taking your current weight in lbs and multiplying by 10.
Yea, it's really as simple as that. You're probably looking at the average of the three equation values (1246) and the value from this simpler version (1300) and thinking "Hey, that's 54 calories off! This isn't accurate at all!"
Calm down people. What you need to remember is that anything having to do with measuring the speed or power of one's metabolism isn't going to be anything better than an educated guess.
At least with this method, you're within 50-100 calories and you don't even need a calculator.
Your Next Question Is Probably "How Many Calories Should I Eat To Lose Weight?"
Well the simple answer is less than the number you generated. The number of calories that you burn each day is how many calories it takes to maintain your current weight. This is how much energy your body needs in order to continue sustaining at your current weight.
If you increase this amount, you'll gain weight, and if you decrease this amount, you'll lose weight. It's actually that simple. The tricky part is coming up with a good plan to decrease your caloric intake without sending you spiraling into insanity or some sort of eating disorder. You might hear people ask the question like "How many carbs per day to lose weight?", but it's all about the calories. Don't make things more complicated by picking apart the food groups when you really need to focus on frequency and portion size.
When you decrease your caloric intake, you're actually creating a calorie deficit. You can, of course, do this with any combination of dieting and/or exercising. Personally, I like to do both for the fastest results. And I've found that the quickest and most sustainable way for me to reduce my calories is by fasting two or more times each week and using the tricking your metabolism approach.
My fasting strategies are based from Eat Stop Eat, and I think it's great because it's a technique that I don't really have to think about. With normal dieting, you have to be concerned with portions of every meal, and eating only "healthy foods", and I just get fed up with it. With fasting, I just cut out calories for a 24-hour span a few times each week, and I lose weight. (And I'm still losing it)
Knowing how many calories you burn each day is the first step to losing weight. You need to know where you start before you can even decide where you want to go.

Corel Painter has been the standard bearer for over a decade. But not everyone has the cash to even purchase an older version of Painter. Not to worry! There are plenty of alternatives out there. The ones that come to mind are Sai Paint Tools, Krita, and Clip Studio Paint Pro. The great thing are that these alternatives also come at a wide range of prices to suit your budget. (Yea capitalism!) Heck, even Corel has gotten in on this action. They are currently offering the budget-minded Corel Painter Essentials 7.
About Corel Painter Essentials 7
What is Painter Essentials 7 and who is it geared towards? I would describe Painter Essentials as Corel’s entry-level digital painting program. The program is streamlined and simplified for beginner artists and those new to digital painting.
If you’re a regular user of the full version of Corel Painter, you’ll notice the vastly reduced number of brushes. Fewer options when it come to manipulating layers. This sucks if you’re an advanced user that’s capable of creating visual magic in a feature-rich monster like Adobe PhotoShop. But for people just starting out, solely maintaining the core features of Painter and simplifying the interface makes Essential 7 a lot friendlier for it’s target users.
Essential Features
Painter Essentials 7 has all of the basic tools that are standard in most digital painting and photo editing programs. I.E.~ Brush Tool, Marque Tools, Fill/Paint Bucket, Eye Dropper, Layers, Etc, etc. Let’s run down some of the most notable features:
Easy Going User Interface
Most computer graphic programs have user interfaces that fall into either one of two categories, super simple or insanely overwhelming. Corel Painter Essentials 7 falls more into the super simple category. That said, it’s simple, easy to use, but still has that professional touch. If you just want to jump in and paint or draw, the interface is rather refreshing.

  Brushes
The Brush Tool functions similarly to any other brush tool you’ll find. Just like in the regular version of Painter, you’ll  have the option of creating both straight and freehand lines. If you own a graphics tablet, you’ll be able to fully utilize many of Essential natural media brushes.
Now for some bad news. If you love to tweak and customize brushes till your heart’s content, it ain’t gonna happen in Essentials. Remember, this program is geared for newbies. Beyond size, opacity, and grain (simulating the texture of your virtual canvas), that’s it. That’s all a new user needs.
Unlike the full version, Painter Essentials 7 has a stripped down selection of brushes. Or basically any type of natural media a beginner could use. But even if you’re a seasoned pro, will you really use all 500+ brushes found in Corel Painter 2020? (Maybe it’s more, I can’t remember.)
If you have the bright idea of importing brushes from the an older version of Painter or copied from a friend’s version of Painter 2017, Essentials 7 will refuse to recognize them and won’t even launch completely.
I honestly believe you’ll be alright with the current selection of brushes in Painter Essentials 7. But you might be irked by the lack of Real Watercolor brushes. Corel still includes Digital Watercolor  package of brushes.
Overall brushes in Essentials 7 are pretty damn speedy. And I’m running Painter Essentials on my slug of an iMac. Most brushes fly in real-time.
Layers
I’m a big layers buff and take full advantage of them in Painter. The Layers Palette in Corel Painter Essentials 7 is much more simplified as compared to Painter. Corel’s just sticking to the basics in this version. That means no grouping and no lifting the canvas to a watercolor layer. You can collapse (merge) selected layers together and drop layers down to merge with the canvas layer. (Which is a quasi-layer. Think of it as an actual surface and your layers are sheets of clear plastic to paint upon.)
Essentials lacks any special types of layers such as natural watercolor layers, ink layers, and FX layers. There’s also no checkbox that allows you to pick up color from layers below. Not the end of the world if you’re a newbie.
You can’t utilize masks with your layers. This is an issue for me because I’ve found masks to be useful due to the fact that you can trim things without destroying them.
RIF Files
Corel has been pretty awesome about keeping RIF files (Painter’s native file format) backwards compatible between versions of Painter. RIF files created with either Painter Essentials or the full version of Painter can be opened by either program.
On a related note, Essentials can also open native Photoshop PSD files. PSD is a great format to use between 2D programs.
AI-Based Photo Painting
One of the latest features being pimped in Painter Essentials 7 is AI-Based Photo Painting. Auto-Painting has always been around, but the big difference is that the AI-based auto painting is more aware of details as opposed to just using random dabs that clone a particular point in the photo.
Corel provides a panel that makes Photo Painting super simple.

Should I Buy Painter Essentials?
That depends upon who you are. If you can handle Adobe Photoshop, than Painter Essentials is going to feel pretty limiting. So you may want to save your money for the full version of Painter (which is still pretty great) or consider more affordable alternatives such as Sai Paint Tools, Krita, and Clip Studio Paint Pro. Hell, try Krita first. It’s fully-featured, open source, and FREE!
If your brand new to the wonderful world of digital painting and don’t wish to be bogged down by a ton of features, half of which you won’t use, then I would recommend downloading the 30 day free trial. The trial is available for both Mac and Windows.
It has a genuine focus on just painting. Essentials is simplified enough to where very few will ever be overwhelmed. Once you start to feel good using Essential, you’ll have the option of upgrading to the full version of painter.
If you don’t already own a graphics tablet, I sincerely recommend you purchase one. If you’re not too picky, you can pick one up relatively cheap. I just purchased an XP-Pen Star 03 tablet for $46 USD. It’s not a Wacom. But it does most everything that you’ll want and  it’s a healthy size.
Review: Corel Painter Essentials 7 This program is a great way for anyone to dip their toes into digital painting without paying a premium and a massive learning curve. Corel Painter has been the standard bearer for over a decade. But not everyone has the cash to even purchase an older version of Painter.

Whoever reaps the most souls wins. Pretty straightforward, honestly. And like GWAR, the fans are more than happy to throw themselves on stage to be slaughtered by their idol overlords. (Fun fact: I was killed by GWAR once. They sacrificed me to the Meat Grinder. It was a blast, and thankfully I recovered.)
Death-chan is your default idol and she’s a pretty fun introduction to the game’s simple but addictive mechanics.
Each of the girls has a unique moveset, though they generally fall into one of two camps: a mid-range melee or a short-range melee. For instance, Death-chan, the game’s default monster girl, wields a scythe that has some decent range on it. When she activates her special, she conjures a much larger scythe, extending the range of her melee attack across half the screen while retaining full mobility. On the other hand, Emmy (my monster girl of choice for the majority of my playthrough) is a brawler who uses her hands and feet to beat her fans to a pulp. Her special plants her in the center of the screen and she spits zombie bile at her approaching zealots who are slowed down by corpse hands rising from the floor. The rest of the girls follow similar patterns with different weapons.
Since each idol is locked except Death-chan, here’s your options: Death-chan, Emmy, Suu, Mary, Elysa, Abigail, Gummy, Ruka, and Mira.

I played a review copy on the Nintendo Switch for about six hours, and the controls were very, very responsive. You use the left and right bumpers to attack in their respective directions, and every tap had my girl turning on a dime to maul whichever poor soul had ventured too close. The tight controls were great, especially in later levels and when tackling hard modes, because the fans come fast and often. Unlike One Finger Death Punch, where you’re penalized for button mashing, Kawaii Deathu Desu pretty much requires it, though you can make breathing room for yourself by focusing on one side of the screen and only turning around to take out faster-moving fans as they approach. At other times it’s just a mash-a-thon to keep them from touching you, which is actually kind of exhilarating.
The more fans you kill, the more your special gauge fills up and you can unleash particularly devastating attacks. Early on you’ll see this rarely and it doesn’t offer much help, but later on it can mean the difference between life and death. To trigger the special, you have to hit both left and right bumpers at once. I almost always triggered it without meaning to because of how rapidly I was weaving back and forth. While not terrible, it did end up feeling like there was no way to strategically use my special. The game is also on Steam, and this issue might not come up when you’re using a keypad or mouse, but on the Switch I’d almost rather it be automatic once the bar fills.

What’s nice about the controls is how easy the game is to pick up. There’s virtually no learning curve, and the pop aesthetic of the game itself is very inviting. My nine-year-old was able to pick up a Joy-Con and play with me without any hassle. What is a hassle is the fact you cannot remap the buttons on the Switch. I almost exclusively used a Pro Controller when playing, and my fingers would ache after about 20 minutes. Playing in handheld mode on the Switch itself was even worse. Constantly mashing your index fingers on the tiny bumpers made for a painful gaming session, and KDD is incredibly grindy. Playing PVP isn’t any better, as the game forces you to use individual Joy-Con, to which even my son felt the buttons were too small to play comfortably. (As an addendum, you can remap buttons on the Switch itself, though you cannot make it game-specific – or rather, I couldn’t figure out how if you can. This is a workaround if you intend on having long gaming sessions, but it’s cumbersome. Ideally, I’d prefer being able to remap in the game itself.)
The game suffers from a few other quality of life issues, the least of which is that confirm is mapped to the B button. As any Switch owner can tell you, confirm should be mapped to the A button, and it throws me for a loop every time. The UI is pretty cumbersome as well, and nothing aggravates me more than when I back out of a level to move on to another and it knocks me all the way back to the character select screen. When working your way through the game, you also cannot access the Hard or Insane modes until playing each Normal stage three times. It felt needlessly gatekeepy. The game also lacks any sort of information guide. Your monster girl has multiple stats you can level up using souls, but none of those stats are explained. Some are easy to infer (Life, Block), but others aren’t so straightforward. I think Magic is how long your special lasts? But I’m not sure.
I also stumbled across what I can only assume is a glitch. KDD has achievements for each character, which are nice motivators to keep playing. One of them is leveling each character to her max level. I maxed out Emmy at level 10, but her achievement says I’m still only 77% of the way toward the goal. It’s not a deal breaker or anything, but it does irk me a bit.
I’m not entirely sure why this says I’m only at 77% when my Emmy is maxed.
Speaking of souls, everything in KDD relies on them. Leveling up a character? Souls. Unlocking a new monster girl? Souls. Buying outfits for your idol? Souls. As far as I can tell there are no micro-transactions to be seen in the game (thank goodness!), so I expect some grinding, but coupled with how painful it is to play for extended periods, that grind feels interminable. As it is, I was able to level Emmy and unlock each idol, but never bothered leveling up anyone else or going for outfits.
One of my favorite aspects of the game was the music. This is a chiptune lover’s paradise. The game is broken up into four countries with three venues each: Japan, China, America, and Brazil. Each country has a distinct sound, which I really liked. Some of the tracks are absolute bangers (my favorites were “Tashite,” “Oturan,” “Fruity Dance,” and “Na Town Pongster”) but there are several that didn’t leave much of an impression on me. I do wish though that a game focused on idols had done more with that concept musically. With so many characters, I’d have loved to see character songs or boss levels that showcased each girl’s style of music. What we got was good, it just feels like a bit of a missed opportunity.

Kawaii Deathu Desu is a fun time waster that would really benefit from some quality of life changes. (My soul for a button remap option!) For someone looking for a quick, simple gameplay experience, you can’t really go wrong picking it up.

As the number of competitors in our niche increases, we need to make sure that we stay ahead of the curve and give our users the best user experience. Also as the web application comes bundled up with a number of features which can be pretty complex at times. This is why it becomes vital to make this process smoother and intuitive for the user. Otherwise they might just leave your application frustrated by the complexity. This is why UI or User Interface has become so vital and thereby UI acceptance Testing! In this article I’ll discuss in detail about UI testing and why it is important. I will also share some details on the methods of UI testing along with some important tools for UI testing So, What is UI Testing? User Interface testing or UI acceptance testing is the type of testing whereby we check if the UI for the web application works fine or has any defect which hampers user behaviour and does not meet the written specifical. For example, for UI testing we can perform the test on a text field that will take input from the user or the dropdown that slides down when the mouse is hovered over it. Since the UI testing covers the user interactive part and the website element can be connected to either screen, keyboard, mouse or any other component that the user uses to interact with the website, this ultimately falls under UI testing The following test scenario will help you understand a component that is important for UI testing. In this test scenario, I am trying to book 3 tickets for a movie on BookMyShow, a popular website for booking movie and event tickets. When I select the seat E-13, it automatically selects 3 seats like this: They are selected continuously which is great since most of the people booking tickets will sit together. Now, if I select F-23 instead of E-13, let’s see what happens. Notice that E-13 is automatically deselected since the application expects that the people would want to sit together and the next selection would be F-22. When I select E-13 as the next seat, the application would select only that seat. This is a major issue as the application could automatically select E-13,14,15 after selecting E-13 as in the first step. Failure in these types of features could harm the user experience and might leave them sight frustrated. Thereby, it becomes vital to perform UI testing. Is UI testing the same thing as GUI testing? GUI (Graphical User Interface) and UI (User Interface) are often viewed as two similar concepts in the world of front-end testing. But, on a deeper level, they are not. UI testing is a broader field and GUI testing can be considered as a subset of UI testing. GUI testing includes the testing of graphical interfaces such as the colour of the elements, the functioning of the elements visible to the user, etc. Whereas the UI testing also includes the non-graphical part of the interfaces such as command line reader or anything through which the user will interact along with GUI. The reason that UI acceptance testing and GUI testing are viewed as similar is that many of the components of UI testing are used less often today. So, in a way, whatever is used inside the area of UI testing today is majorly the GUI testing Manual or Automated, Which Way To Go? Like any other type of testing, UI acceptance testing can also be performed either manually or through automation. Manual UI acceptance testing requires the tester to perform each test manually on every element. For example, testing an input field would require typing in different values again and again for any discrepancies. At first glance, it might look that if there are fewer components of a web UI testing, it is better to go for web UI testing through the manual process which would be done easily and quickly. While it is correct and should be done for a simpler and basic website, it should not be the way to go for complex ones. Today’s websites with rich user interfaces make the manual UI testing quite inefficient, time-consuming and error-prone. Imagine the times you would have to enter the values manually if there are five input boxes and five dropdowns that get populated on the input. It’s insanely high So, why to go for Web UI testing automation? Speed: The first and foremost is the speed. Time is the major resource for every company and automating web UI testing saves a lot of it. Selenium Automation testing for UI acceptance testing requires us to write the tests only once and run them again and again without any intervention with different values and different scenarios. Accuracy: Selenium Automation testing for UI acceptance testing helps us in executing tests without any error, provided the tests are written correctly. Manual testing for UI acceptance testing’s main disadvantage is that it is prone to human error. Transparency: Selenium Automation testing for web UI testing also helps in building reports quickly and sharing with the team as soon as the testing is completed. On the other hand, manual testing takes time in extracting results and reporting them manually to generate reports through a software or manually Also, while performing web UI testing it is equally important to make sure the web application does not have any cross browser compatibility issues. Since every browser works with a different browser engine and might not support the same CSS features. Thereby it becomes important that we make sure that our UI or User interface renders seamlessly on all of the major browsers. Testing on different browsers is called cross browser testing, It helps the tester test his website on multiple combinations of all the major browsers and devices including mobiles, tablets, casts etc. Similar to the above-mentioned areas, cross browser testing can also be performed in both the ways (Manual and Automation). But, hundreds and thousands of web UI testing can be too much for a person or a team to test manually. This needs to be automated. Automation is the human’s way of telling the computers that, “I am handing this over to you with the instructions, please do the magic as you always do”. Automated cross browser testing is done through scripts and running them over multiple browsers. The number and language of the tests is up to the tester. Selenium is the best way to go for automated cross browser testing. A great learning curve helps testers run the selenium tests quickly and easily. To have hassle-free testing, it is recommended to use an online cross browser testing platform that integrates with Selenium and can provide many features through drag and drop functionality In the next test scenario, I’ll demonstrate the importance of cross browser testing in UI testing. This testing has been performed using an online cross browser testing tool, LambdaTest. To perform our UI test, I’ve taken a simple web page demonstrating the zoom property. Let’s say you decide to build a website where a major element is a box which zooms when hovered over by the mouse. You implement this functionality by using the zoom property of the CSS. But, since you were using Google Chrome as your default browser, zoom worked perfectly fine. Maybe you tested in IE, Edge or Safari and it was working fine there too. Testing techniques are required to know the answer to the question, “How to perform the testing? In the various techniques described below, various processes are followed. Once we have decided on the type of testing technique we are following, it becomes easier to just follow the concept and generate the results. Exploratory Testing Exploratory testing requires no pre-planning and the tester just creates tests on experience and various other parameters such as previous test results. These parameters may differ from project to project. Exploratory testing provides a very flexible and open opportunity for the tester. Exploratory testing in the web UI testing helps identify hidden test cases as the UI may behave differently in different machines. A tester can make use of the automation while tackling exploratory testing challenges to run the cases on different data. Exploratory testing can also be performed efficiently manually. Scripted Testing If exploratory testing is performing testing without any planning, scripted testing is just opposite to that. Scripted testing is done after the scripts have been written and the test cases have been decided beforehand. As the first step in scripted testing, the tester defines the scripts which denote the tester’s entries and the expected output. The results are then analyzed and reported accordingly. Similar to the exploratory testing, the tester can go ahead with automated scripted testing or manual scripted testing. Although, automated testing in the scripted testing is recommended today because of the large number of lines of code and increased complexities of the project User Experience Testing The user experience testing technique in web UI testing can be done by providing the built project to the end user. The end user can then use the product like we all do and provide his feedback which can then be conveyed to the developer through the testing team. The companies sometimes also release a beta version of the product to their end-users to collect the feedback according to the vast geographic locations. This creates a great testing environment It is not so hard to decode that the user experience testing is a type of exploratory testing since the users do not know what to test and how to test i.e. there is no pre-defined plan. Needless to say, it is done manually. User experience testing can also be done on the partial product to check the UI on a large number of screens and on different locations without developing the complete project. This helps the companies test smaller components with the same intensity as the complete project would have been tested which ultimately improves the quality of the product. How does your UI performance matter? The average size of the website has increased over time. From a few pages to hundreds of pages in a single website today, websites are bigger than ever. Not only this, a single page contains hundreds of elements to create the complete website. This creates a huge load on the server from which the website is being fetched. A slower website is not a good sign for any web developer. Testing this also comes under the umbrella of UI testing and the performance can certainly be improved. Evidently, the improvement of 50% in the back-end system loads the website just 10% faster while the improvement of 50% in the front-end loads the website 40% faster. This makes UI testing a necessary process in improving the overall performance of the website. Achieving speed definitely gives an edge above other websites. Wondering how to achieve this? There are loads of software available online which can be used for performing GUI & UI testing such as YSlow and PageSpeed. The UI testing performs checks on the elements that weave together to create the user interface. Writing tests again and again and executing them manually is becoming redundant. This is why the world is moving towards UI testing automation. Role of UI testing automation has increased significantly in the past years due to increasing complexities and bigger projects. A FUNDRAISING SURVIVAL GUIDE TO DIE
He showed how, given a handful of them. This caught my attention because earlier we'd noticed a pattern in the least successful startups we'd funded: they all seemed hard to talk to?1 Think about what it means. But eventually the open source world won, by producing Javascript libraries that grew over the brokenness of Explorer the way a startup feels is at least a random sample of the applicants that were selected, b their subsequent performance is measured, and in any case the odds of succeeding are higher in a startup. But there's more going on than that. It turns out there is, and the key to the mystery is the old adage a word to the wise is sufficient. For us the main indication of impending doom is when we don't hear from you. A cluttered room saps one's spirits.
Sometimes the feedback loop that makes the product good.2 The information needed to conduct such studies is increasingly available. Steve Jobs had already done it: insanely great. But it's gone now. But in retrospect it was exactly the right thing to do, because it seems sympathetic to their cause.3 Another advantage of bad times is that there's less competition. If you're in grad school, but we're going to keep working on the startup, but we're going to retrace his steps, with his mathematical notation translated into running Common Lisp code. This is just an explanation of why I don't like the look of Java: It has been so energetically hyped.6 The rest of my stuff I left in my landlady's attic back in the US are also big tourist destinations: San Francisco, or Boston, or Seattle. And as any politician could tell you, the likelihood they'll succeed, and focus instead on the separate and almost invisibly intangible question of whether they'll succeed really big is not merely a necessary evil, but change the company permanently for the better. That has always seemed to me an important point, and I was even more convinced of it after hearing it confirmed by Hilbert.7 I have by now learned to understand everything publishers mean to tell me about a book, and perhaps a bit more. Whereas if a startup regularly does new deals and releases and either sends us mail or shows up at YC events, they're probably going to be one of the really big winners or not, and if we want to fund more Airbnbs we have to stay good at thinking it.8 The only way you're ever going to extract any value from it is to kill.
I can remember when it was just for Harvard students, it remained for students at specific colleges for quite a while.9 When a large tract has been developed by small groups. Ultimately power rests with the founders. Which means applicants of type x have to be better to get selected than applicants not of type x is that it's harder for them to make it big. Most nerds like quieter pleasures.10 Either it's something they felt they had to do to get started are not merely a useless metric, but positively misleading. Observation bears this out: within the US, towns have become startup hubs if and only if they attract those who have them.13 So the question of how to make a silicon valley. Google for a million dollars, and you just create Carnegie-Mellon. Microsoft's first product was a Basic interpreter for the Altair. Nor has anyone there ever even sent us an email. My own feeling is that object-oriented program, it can be written in itself. There are specific implications. The more your conclusions disagree with readers' present beliefs, the more stuff they seem to have a disproportionately low probability of the former will seem to have.

I was actually just sought out randomly. They got in touch with my management about a Skype interview to be considered for the show which to me, I thought a Skype interview, they must be in the very early stages of casting for this. So, I thought this was cool, sure no problem. I did my Skype interview with the casting it went well and then a week later had a contract sent to me, so clearly they were not in the beginning stages of casting, they were at the end stages of casting and they just needed one more person. So that’s how I ended up being that ninth girl.

Working on WAGS is obviously very different than working on wrestling television. It’s very different in the way that there is not nearly as much to do for WAGS. More of it was just kind of being my natural self. We go to different places and have different situations and we talk about different things. However, it’s very much just me being me and offering my opinions and things like that. They are very, very different, but it’s nice to have something different to kind of break up the norm of what I’m used to doing on television. It was a lot of fun to get to film some different scenes and try different things out. I would say the most fun that I had is the things I got to do with Cody. We were just are usual selves and people got a chance to see how we are and it was just a lot of fun for sure.

Brandi Rhodes On How She Was Cast For WAGS Atlanta, If She Had To Adjust At All To Reality Show Filming
Brandi Rhodes on if her experience as an on-air personality in WWE has helped prepare her for her career now:
That’s a really good question nobody’s asked me that yet so kudos to you. The one thing that makes this, I don’t want to say easier because the learning curve is huge and I’m still making my way here. I would say watching from ringside for so many years and seeing so many different things and watching all these different stories play out, I understand what you want to see. That doesn’t mean I can do it always or accurately, however I understand what people want to see and understand what needs to happen where and when. A lot of people, you would be shocked, this isn’t the most natural thing to understand but it’s one of those things that has helped me so much. As far as putting matches together, when someone starts to say something I would say, you wouldn’t want to do that because it doesn’t make sense and then they go, “Oh yeah, you’re right, how did you know that?” Then I tell I’ve been watching for so long. I just know if it doesn’t fit or it’s out of place, I remember sitting at ringside and looking at the person sitting next to me saying, “What?” It’s just helped to kind of ingrain in my mind what things should look like for a fan and what just make sense.
Brandi Rhodes on how much her on-air wrestling character is planned out versus ad-libbed, such as her Wrestle Kingdom 12 performance:
This sport is such a roller coaster. For me personally, I feed off of the energy around me. So if everybody wants something and they are yelling and they are cheering or they like something or they do not like it and they hate it, I totally go off with that. So with that being said, everything of course is not planned. I was the one that started laughing after the thing that happened with Ibushi. It just felt natural like I should laugh, I got him and I should laugh so of course he started laughing and it was great. It was awesome and everybody got it at that point. Still I am very new to things so a lot of times if there is the opportunity to ask a question then I’m going to. It’s something that I’m seeing it as oh ok this make sense to me but maybe it doesn’t make sense to somebody else so I should run it by someone else. It’s really of those natural organic moments where you just know what you should do.
Brandi Rhodes on the state of women’s wrestling, being part of the Women Of Honor Championship tournament:
One thing I know to be true is you should never put yourself in anything you don’t think you can win. You might as well be an idiot if you enter contests thinking I don’t think I can win but I’m going to try! Women’s wrestling is absolutely at its peak right now. It’s at the top of its game and is getting so much attention and so many eyes and it should be. Women are stepping up, they are performing, they are showing that we are athletes as well and we deserve the attention we are getting. This is an incredible time to be part of a women’s division, any women’s division really because they’re so solid. The girls are really good and really different and that’s great. I don’t think we have anywhere in wrestling right now two of the same girls trying to be the same girl if that makes any sense. It is just so unique and everyone is soaring right now. It’s great and it’s a positive thing and I hope that it keeps growing and who knows what heights were going to get to?
Brandi Rhodes on how Wrestle Kingdom compares to Wrestlemania:
For me it’s kind of an unfair question because I was in two very different roles for each of those. Naturally for me, Wrestle Kingdom had this vastness that the other didn’t because my role was so different. I’m very proud to have been part of Wrestle Kingdom and it never dawned on me the entire time I was out there that almost 40,000 people were out there too. It was just a live in the moment, enjoy what I’m doing type of thing. I don’t add a lot of pressure or take away pressure based on crowds. I am the same amount nervous at Center Stage in Atlanta that I am at the Tokyo Dome in Wrestle Kingdom. It’s all the same to me. The level of performance is the same, the amount that I want to do well is the exact same, and after it’s really cool to get to see what the feedback was socially insane and see how many people watched and how many people enjoyed the show. That’s the biggest difference show is that I would say between the two shows is how much people interact because it’s so much bigger. Really, for me Wrestle Kingdom was the greatest thing I’ve achieved so far.

Welcome to the third installment of the journeyman save into the world of Marcelo Bielsa. We just wrapped up another disappointing season; 9th place finish in Primera Division; and KO’d of the Copa Total Sudamericana  by Brazilian side Internacional.  Looking back in hindsight we lacked the mentality and personnel to challenge for the title. For example, we could’ve used a destroyer in the midfield who could break up play. Consequently, we had the third worst defensive record in the Primera Division. If there’s one word to describe it’d be “reactionary.” Because we were known to claw our way back  in the closing minutes to salvage a point. Our record my final season was 10-12-6; 42pts 9th place. When I think about some of those matches my blood starts to boil because we were capable of performing better than that. Anyway, it gave me a lot to think about since  I was planned to leave at the end of the season.  However, I had this sense that I would be abandoning the players before they reached their full potential .  
Change of Heart
I decided to extend my time at NOB for one more season, but I needed make changes in a few areas. As I said earlier, we needed a creative player, a destroyer to boss the midfield, and a keeper. We lacked consistency in both areas and I was willing to break the bank to tighten up those areas. In addition to that, I thought it was a good idea to bring in a couple of loanees (DLP and Centre-back) from our affiliate Ligue 1 outfit, Bordeaux.  In total, we brought in five players (3 permanent; 2 loans)

All seemed fine on the surface. I was happy with our signing and I thought the chairman and I were on the same page, but, the club had other ideas. They were more interested in making a profit; yes, NOBs was a club known for developing players and selling them at a profit.  I am not against developing and selling players, except, when the club is only interested in making profits. With that said I felt slighted by the club and decided to plan my exit. Below is a list of transactions that occurred during my tenure at Newell.
Continue To Spread The Philosophy
Initially, I was planned to follow Bielsa’s career path by managing each club he managed. Anyway, I realized it was a great in theory but the match engine had its own way of telling me otherwise.  To make a long story short a few managerial positions came up; Argentina, Spain, Athletic Club Bilboa, RBL Lepzeig, Bordeaux, Southampton, and San Lorenzo. I had a few interviews but I didn’t have the reputation or experience to manage at the top.  Therefore, I decided that I was going to stay in South America and build my reputation and see where I end up next.
First, I had to sever ties with NOBs because they wanted an insane compensation fee from potential employers. Clubs interested in my services were reluctant to break the bank, which is completely understandable. But at the same time I came to the realization NOBs tried to stall my career.
However, Uruguayan club Defensor Sporting FC (Montevideo, Uruguay) were eager to bring me to the club after they parted ways with their manager.  Defensor’s backroom staff entered  long intense negotiations, but they were forced to walk away from the table because NOB were playing hardball. So my solution was to resign effective immediately, therefore, Defensor would be free to approach me for an interview. I was offered the position with nine matches left in the closing stages of Uruguay’s Primera Division.
New Club: Defensor Sporting Club
    Brief History Defensor was founded on March 15, 1913 as Club Atlético Defensor, the name of the club was changed in 1989 to Defensor Sporting Club (DSC) after a merger with Sporting Club Uruguay. DSC are a four-time national champion in Uruguay (1976, 1987, 1991, 2007–08) (Wikipedia, 2017). Defensor plays its home games at its own stadium called Estadio Luis Franzini which has a capacity for 18,000 spectators. The stadium was opened on 31 December 1963. It is located in Parque Rodó, Montevideo. Below is the club’s profile.

The Philosophy
The formula is the same but with some variation due to the type of players at my disposal. Therefore, I’ve introduced the player to 3-4-1-2 , 4-4-1-1, and 4-1-3-2. These formations allowed me to play to the strengths of my players: they are fierce competitors; they work well as a team, most are local boys from Montevideo, and they come from a strong tradition of tough physical footballers.

Each formations evokes different thoughts, responses, and questions.  Yet, they come back my original questions: how do I control possession?;  dictate the tempo?; create space for my teammate?; and minimize space for the opposition?;  And, how can I use the ball to manipulate the opponent into opening up channels for the killer pass?
Based on my experience in Argentina the learning curve has to be higher because it took more than two years before I started to see glimpses of positional play.  I won’t bore you with recycling material from past work, but for more background info on the guiding principles I suggest you refer to the introductory piece of this series.
It’s still early days for the save but we  won three of our last five matches–finished fifth in the league gives us a platform to build on in for the coming season.
