day 5, gin + aizen: threesome
kinktobruary day 5
gin ichimaru x reader x sosuke aizen // bleach
summary: you meant what you’d said when you told ichimaru-taicho you would follow him wherever in the world. while hueco mundo was the last place you’d expect, it seems aizen has plans to test your loyalty….
tw/cws: 18+ only, threesome, domination, dubcon, deepthroating, thigh-fucking, coercion, gin's manipulative personality, aizen's god complex, no boundaries are respected
word count: 2.3K
--note: what in titty kubo’s name have i brought into this world
Hueco Mundo is a vast, barren palace. Perfectly reminiscent of the man whose idea it was to defect here.
Almost everything in Las Noches is dismal, awash in monochrome. The infrastructure, the rooms, the desert sands, the very clothes you wear. It makes you feel negated, as if your very identity is being wiped clean and integrated into your surroundings.
But you suppose there’s some truth in that. You are a traitor. You can’t go back to the Seireitei; you came here for one reason and one reason alone: Ichimaru-taicho.
While your loyalty to the man wasn’t nearly as blinding as Izuru’s, perhaps it was worse, in a way. You didn’t justify all the awful things he had done. He hadn’t manipulated you, per se, so much as you let him pull the strings, followed along with whichever whim suited him. Maybe you were worse than Izuru, because you were aware of his true nature, but allowed yourself to be puppeteered. That’s why you’re here in Hueco Mundo, and not him. And why your new life here is off to a shaky start.
If anything is proven when it comes to Ichimaru-taicho, it’s that he doesn’t think much of loyalty, or at least he doesn’t treat you any differently. While the frown and furrowed brows on his normally-smiling face had betrayed his—confusion? dare you say, even frustration with your decision to jump into the portal with them?—it’s almost as if he’s cloaked himself an even thicker mask than before. He’s been nothing but piercing quips and sly jokes the entire time you’ve been here, repelling you even further with the mind games he strings along.
And he never offers any assistance. As various Arrancar eye you like their newest snack, trip you in the halls, and make disparaging remarks, you take it all in silence. Ever so slowly, however, you find your faith in Ichimaru-taicho fracturing, like hairlines in china.
Is it faith you even have in him at his point? Or is it something closer to despair?
“Oh~ Yer here early.”
“Ichimaru-taicho,” you greet, only slightly surprised. He has a penchant for showing up announced wherever you are, before slipping away like the breeze. He situates himself by the window, observing you like his most interesting doll for throwing.
“Please, we’re not even in tha’ Seireitei anymore.” He waves his hand dismissively, the mischievous smirk carved into his face. “Why don’t ya call me Gin?”
The letters feel foreign on your tongue. “Gin.” Short, brusque. Much like him and his attitude towards you recently.
“My my, such a lovely sight outside, don’t ya’ think?” he says, surveying the view outside. The white moon. The eternal night.
Your lips tug into a frown. “It… never changes.”
“Oh? Ya’ hate it?” He leans closer to you, seeming particularly interested in your answer. “Why’s that?”
“I guess you could say… I like things that are unpredictable.” You give him a knowing look. His grin doesn’t waver, but he does straighten, lean back out of your reach.
“Well, look at ya~ Kinda masochistic of ya ta’ say that, don’t ya think? Especially with...” His voice lowers, conspiratorially. “Aizen’s eyes and ears around.”
You shoot him a begrudging smile. You are all too aware of how tightly wound Aizen-taicho’s grip is around here. “You’re right.”
But you do wonder if he really intends to warn you, if he truly cares for your safey. If Gin Ichimaru is more like the ever-stagnant moon forever out of your reach, or if perhaps the barren desert lands are exacerbating the distance between you two.
You shake your head to quell those thoughts.
“I promise I’ll be careful...Gin.”
“Gin,” Aizen’s voice carries, thick as caramel, as he enters the throne room. “I’ve been wanting to discuss something with you.”
“Oh?”
“Regarding that seated officer of yours that followed you here.” Aizen’s eyes seem to gleam with something. Gin internally grimaces.
His ever-permanent smile betrays little of his emotions or thoughts, but this is a conversation he’s been anticipating, ever since you deserted with them here. Aizen exploits any kind of weakness, Gin is well-aware of that, after the many years he’s known him and served under him; where else did he learn to cultivate his own brand of wiliness? But while Gin is a fox, Aizen is a practiced hunter, and he knows when he’s staring down the glint of metal when he sees it.
“Yeah? What about ‘em?”
“They seem quite loyal to you,” he remarks.
“Ya. Pretty dumb, in’t it?” Gin scratches his chin, cocking his head. “Ya’d think Izuru woulda been the one for blind loyalty, but he’s got ties. Reasons to stay behind. (Y/N) on the other hand...” He pauses. “They’re an impulsive one.”
Aizen’s steady gaze seems to penetrate even Gin’s impervious facade. He gets the sense he’s being watched, closer than he assumed. “I wonder… Their loyalty to you is one thing, but I’ve hardly had any interactions with them since we’ve been here. There’s no way to determine their loyalty to me.”
“Gin.” He balances his chin on his open palm, his fingers splaying towards his face. “Do you think they’d ever betray me?”
There it is. The question. “Dunno. Why don’t you find out yerself?” Gin mocks.
When the air around Aizen’s placid countenance churns with something wicked, Gin has the itching sensation he’s decreed your fate.
As he turns away, he frowns. Life was a lot easier when you weren’t involved in the mix.
When Grimmjow stops by to announce you’ve been summoned to Aizen’s throne room, you’re surprised. Your mind runs over all the possibilities that could cause him to summon you—Did Ichimaru-taicho tattle on you? Was your faith in him an utter mistake? Was this just another one of Aizen’s whims?—but they all come to a halt when you enter the room and the molten chocolate of gaze falls on you. Gin is also in the room, waiting in the shadows with his ever-present grin.
“(Y/N)... how are you today?” Aizen says, pleasantly.
“I’m... doing well, Aizen-taicho.” You bow.
“Good.” He smiles, but it doesn’t reach his eyes. Unlike Gin, who smiles all the time, but never reveals his eyes. You wonder which one of them is worse to encounter in the wild. “I was just discussing something with Gin. I find it interesting that you decided to follow him all this way....” Here it comes.
“What made you decide to leave behind your life?”
“I—when I joined the Third Division, I promised Ichimaru-taicho—Gin—I would follow him wherever.” You swallow roughly, hoping the sound isn’t loud enough for them to hear.
“Ah... but... even if that meant betraying the very pact you’d made to the Seireitei? After all, your loyalty was sworn to the Gotei 13.”
“When I made that promise, sir, it was actually to—to him. To Gin.”
“Interesting....” Something in his gaze flickers. You get the sense Aizen has found a winning move. “(Y/N), I’m curious. How would you define the nature of your relationship with Gin?”
You still. “E-Excuse me?” you say, when you manage to find your voice.
“It seems to be a rather close bond, if you ask me.” He laughs, a hollow, light sound that dissipates swiftly in the air. “I’m sure Momo would have done the same for me, but....” His amused smirk grows. “It takes a certain kind of person to be able to be willing to start anew”
“I…. respect Gin on many levels.” Even though you shouldn’t, a voice in your head nags. You brush it asiide.
“Oh? I find respect to be an... interesting concept. How far does this respect of yours go?”
You gaze up at him, not quite understanding. “Ah... Sir?”
“How far would you go to prove your loyalty?” he muses.
Your mouth runs dry, as you begin to get a sneaking suspicion as to what Aizen is entailing. Your heart pounds hard enough in your chest you worry for one second that it’ll burst through your ribcage.
“Bow down,” he commands. Even without the wave of reiatsu he could be sending towards you, it has the same effect.
You tense, your knees dropping to the ground. You hear him moving towards you, and when you look up, you’re face to face with the tent slacking Aizen’s hakama. You freeze.
“Undress me.” His tone leaves no room for questions; in fact, he looks terribly amused with this entire situation.
You chance a glance towards Gin, and even he looks startled, the smile slipping from his face.
“Aizen, ya’ naughty thing, what d’ya think yer doin’—”
“Or…” His gaze remains focused on you. “Would you rather be doing this to Gin?”
“I—” You swallow again, your tongue sticking to the roof of your mouth. Is this a trick question? His eyes betray nothing other than aloof amusement. He finds your situation entertaining, you realize; he looks down on you in more ways than one.
You swallow down your pride, taking up his challenge. Slowly, you undo the ties to Aizen’s hakama, and are greeted with his sizable girth. Your fingers around its rigid circumference, tugging slightly. Your hands tremble at first, but you still them as you grow bolder in your movements.
He makes a displeased sound in the back of his throat, and you nearly jump at the sound of his voice. “I can hardly feel that. You’ll have to try harder.”
You pump his cock slowly, glancing up at him. When his expectant expression fails to change, you lower your mouth to suck at his tip. He tastes salty, and despite his coldness, his cock throbs in your mouth. Then Aizen takes the opportunity to thrusts into your face, past your teeth and nudging the hollow of your throat. You’re choking, your eyes watering, as his hands fist into your hair.
He begins plunging his dick into your mouth in rapid succession, and you can just barely manage to keep your mouth open and teeth covered to take it. As he rams himself to the very back of your throat, letting out a grunt, he glances to the side.
“What do you plan on doing, Gin?”
You’re surprised to see Gin closer now, just a few feet away, watching you both with a slight frown, his arms crossed.
“Hey Aizen, this ain’t fair. They’re my seated officer, ya know.”
“And?” Aizen’s gaze is cool. He laughs. “I’m not stopping you from doing anything. So I repeat—What are you going to do about it?” He thrusts all the way back into your mouth, and you choke again.
Several brutal thrusts into your mouth later, each accompanied by your gagging sounds, you hear cloth rustling. You glance towards him, and Gin is dragging his half-hard cock out from between his hakamas, jerking it off. Aizen chuckles, digging his fingers into your scalp to draw your attention back to him before picking up the pace. You choke, tears slipping from your eyes and drool dripping from your mouth when he pulls away, as Gin comes up behind you.
“Oh? I knew you wouldn’t be able to resist.” Aizen smirks.
Gin urges you onto all fours, making quick work of your hakama, before shoving it down to your knees. His dick prods your backside as he leans forward. You hear a “Sorry, (Y/N)~,” not nearly as playful as it usually is, as he yanks your thighs together, and slips his cock in between them. Then he’s thrusting into you as if he’s fucking you.
You look down, and the sight of the head of Gin’s cock popping between your legs has you moaning. Aizen’s length re-enters your mouth, and Gin’s thrusts pick up.
“Geez, (Y/N), sure seems like yer enjoyin this~” His fingers dig into your hips harsh enough to bruise. Almost like he wants to leave a mark on you.
Aizen chuckles as he pulls out of your throat once more, a thick strand of saliva and pre-cum connecting the two of you. “Why don’t you stick it in, Gin?”
Gin’s voice is sharp despite his playful expression. “I like to tease ‘em a lil.”
“Fair enough.”
The two of them continue their assault on both sides of you. They don’t even attempt to establish a rhythm or synchrony; rather, each of them seem determined to claim a part of you: Aizen’s hips drive past your lips like he wants to excavate your throat, and Gin’s pounding has his thighs slapping against yours with every thrust forward, the friction of him being so close to where you want him to causing your thighs to tremble in anticipation.
Aizen suddenly surges into you, his hands gripping your locks as he grunts. Hot ropes of cum are released into your throat, while Gin isn’t too far off. He slams into your thighs, his fingers clenching the meat of your ass. With a hiss, his spend splatters between them. Both men are breathing heavily, and when they release their hold on you, your arms and legs wobble, before giving out. Your face nearly hits, if it were’t for Gin grasping you around the stomach and Aizen holding you up by your chin.
“Gotta be careful~ Wouldn’t wanna ruin that pretty face of yours, right?” Gin leers.
“I think that’s satisfactory enough.” Aizen relinquishes his hold, slipping himself back into his hakama. “Take care of this, will you, Gin? I have a meeting with the Espada.” He turns, exiting the chamber.
He leaves the two of you there to clean up, and it’s not until the echo of his footsteps fade entirely that Gin’s grip on you tightens.
“W-Why?” Your voice is hoarse, your throat sore, but you still ask. You still need to know—
His mouth a thin line, he yanks up your hakama before swiping Aizen’s release from your face with his sleeve. As he finally faces you, his lips curve into their signature grin.
“This is what ya get for comin all this way with us, darlin~ Regret it, yet?”

He remembers the birthdays of his fellow captains (especially the ones he actually likes). Aizen will receive a gift, delivered to his desk (not by Byakuya, he is too busy). The gift is wrapped in white paper, small and soft. Inside is a piece of fabric. Smooth, deep purple. Very expensive. It has a practical use - it's meant to be used to wipe your glasses clean.
People remember, even if himself was outright unwilling to participate in this recollection of this so-called 'special day'. Yet, je held little to no desire to disturb the ongoing celebrations inside the division, as it were, any moment and possibility would be used to designate a day to prolonged, covered free time. Sousuke would let them, excusing himself soon enough with voices raising for him to come back and join celebrations anew. Of course; would be the reply. Of course; would be an expected set of two simple words that fall out to be no truth later on.
Not that it would matter, despite searching, despite their desire to keep him around, they all knew, if their Captain wanted to be gone for the time being, then he would be.
And what came then? Usually, just, following out a trail to meet up with Gin or Kaname, mayhap even find himself mingling somewhere in the deeper depths of the Rukongai, hidden in presence and just wiling away the hours till something as discardable as a 'birthday' could pass over for nonexistence for another year. Even so, finding a package on his desk when Sousuke had wound himself out from numerous souls trailing his person, was not something he had expected from outside his division - at all. His fellow Captains would still know [ but has he ever really made it a festivity? ]. Thus, a hum is all of a reply, taking out the fabric, to feel it, so let fingertips grace softness where ridges would perceive its worth.
What an amusing little gift, enough to have him huff out a laugh. There was, truly, no need to tell the younger Captain that this was not needed, he could use it as it was presented in pretence as well. Because why not?
Tumblr media
Alas, for this year, he may discard his usual ways towards more rowdy districts of this broken world and see if Byakuya was truly as "busy" as it appeared. Mayhap, he could distract him for a moment just, if only to thank him for the gesture, or even steal him away for a drink or two. After all, at times he knew he should mingle just a little bit more with those that appeared a bit closer than one would want to assume.

Hello again Aizen-dono. I feel compelled to respond to one of the answers you gave to anonymous. As much as we all love you, loving you means understanding that there is in-fact PLENTY to fear from you. Trust is, of course, out of the question. Though I'm flattered you think we could pull off killing Kyouraku-taichou that is much easier said than done because we are not you. Plus we all know that you can take those seals off yourself. the only real problem is the chair and Muken itself.
The chair, my dear @pokephira has already been destroyed by the Quincy usurper, Juha Bach.
Muken, however, has the tendrils of an ancient god, some of which continue to attempt to worm themselves deep into my very flesh. Expelling them is where my passive reiatsu has gone, rather than, apparently, holding firm the seal to the Jaws of Hell.
Though you're quite correct that it is within my power, even here, even now--killing @shunsuisuggestions should never be the plan. His death would lock my doors forever. The trick is removing the keys without stopping the Captain Commander's heart. Obviously, it can be done. He himself removed at least three of them when he came to beg help from me in the final throes of the battle that the Soul Society and your so-called 'hero,' Kurosaki Ichigo, were very clearly losing against Bach.
And, ah, how my help has been rewarded... not even a single day removed from my sentence.
But, yes, speak of how I am the untrustworthy one. Every promise I have made I have kept. I have even kept that worthless oath to defend the Seireitei I took upon acceptance into the Gotei. In fact, I served the Gotei honorably in this last war, despite knowing full well that they would immediately turn around and betray me, with not so much as a thank you.
You may presume I deserve such a turnabout, as it is only "fair," given what I did to them. But, ask yourself, @pokephira, how much harm did I truly cause? I ordered Gin and Kira to murder a council of self-appointed, crooked, unjust noblemen and women whose "justice" is so broken that when I seized power and demanded the death of a noble-adopted Shinigami serving in good standing in the Gotei, no one even considered the possibility that their orders were illegal or unjust. Is murder in this case a crime? Certainly, but some times revolution must begin with spilled blood.
But, who else did I truly harm? Is Hinamori Momo dead by my hand? She is not. Psychologically suffering, yes, most assuredly. That is the nature of the wounds of Kyoku Suigetsu.
Again, however, how do my crimes compare to those you consider "heroes"?
Shall we consider?
The Souls in the Rukongai that I shaved to make my hogyoku may have suffered, but, if they had strong enough reiatsu, they did not die. Unlike the First Kenpachi, I did not go to the Rukongai to kill for sport and my personal entertainment. I did not leave behind me a literal mountain of bodies, YET, I imagine you believed Captain Unohana to be a "good" Soul until her death.
Was I a fair and decent captain? Did I treat my soldiers well? Did you discover dead in tortured subordinates of mine in the bowels of my barracks of the Fifth, like you most assuredly will find in those of the Twelfth, right now?
But, yes, do go on. Tell me how I am a "villain" of this world and so very, very untrustworthy.
Certainly, your certainty that I am evil comes from the fact I hurt some people's feelings when I revealed that I was not EXACTLY the man so many thought I was. For making a few grown men and women feel a little bit disappointed in themselves for not truly seeing my true nature, I must the Hell that is Muken for 18,800 years.
Tumblr media
But, yes, of course, the Soul Society is blameless and good.

Scar Map - All Sewn Up
(T/W: Swearing and language)
The journey back through the Senkaimon was typical at first, to say the least, and the squad ten captain was not surprised that his chipper lieutenant was, still, bouncing off the walls as they walked to the other end of the massive channel to take them home.
“Why couldn’t we have just stayed a little bit longer, Captain?” The strawberry blonde complains.
“I wanted to do a little more shopping! I had only scratched the surface of the Karakura Mall when we were so abruptly and rudely summoned home!” Only the sound of the soft padding of their sandals against the dirt interrupted the silence that the lieutenant did not take up.
Her captain sighed. It was clear by the tone of her voice she was only trying to lighten the mood. Nevertheless, he was going to lecture her.
“It can’t be helped, Matsumoto. We have to report back to the head captain. We cannot return to the world of the living without backup. These arrancars, they’re much too strong for just us alone to handle. Even Ichigo Kurosaki couldn’t defeat one of the Espadas. For all we know, they’re going to invade the Soul Society next. Tactically, their next move could be to eliminate all those who pose a threat to their plans. That includes the captains, the lieutenants, anyone who could stand a chance in a battle with a soldier of his undead army.” His silvery eyebrows furrowed as he trudged through the gravel.
Aizen. What hell are you doing with Orihime Inoue? Did you think no one would notice? That no one cared for her, or that they wouldn't come for her? You seem to have a nasty habit of swiping loved ones for your own personal gain.. His loose hands at his side became tightly wound fists.
He shook it off as he heard Matsumoto begin to speak again, this time, taking on a somber tone.
“Soldiers… Captain, could they really be starting an army? Aizen, Tosen… and Gin?”
“They are, and they have created their own militia. Now, we need to get back and hunker down. We need to prepare the Soul Society for whatever may come next.”
“The captain’s right, Rangiku,” Ikkaku starts.
“It doesn’t matter now, all that matters is that we prepare the others, and make sure that we have enough muscle to destroy these bastards. We won’t let them take our home or the souls of the innocent.”
“How mature of you, Ikkaku. I’m so proud!” Yumichika chimes in.
“Mature? I’m always mature, mature’s my middle name.” He rebukes.
“Yeah, sure..”
“Would all of you be quiet!? Just for once?” Toshiro calls from ahead of the trio.
“We’ve almost arrived.”
“I think you’re just grumpy because you get to didn’t spend enough quality time with M--”
“Do not.” He interrupts sharply without looking back. Rangiku burns holes in the back of his head with her laser beam eyes. She had been trying to gain more information about Momo’s wellbeing ever since she heard her captain speaking to her on the video monitor back at Orihime’s house.
I heard her voice, but..
Matsumoto turns to look back at Ikkaku and Yumichika, who have struck up a conversation of their own about the Aizen situation, and then briskly strides a little faster to catch up to her captain.
Then she was just… gone..
“Is it that bad?” Rangiku murmurs from behind him, her eyes slanted with worry. She noticed his shoulders tense, and he took a long pause before uttering his next words quietly.
“... I don’t know what to do… how am I supposed to explain this all to her? He has her so--...” As if his voice wasn’t low and chilling enough, he forces out the word even more hushed between gritted teeth.
“Brainwashed.” He swallows hard and looks up as the slight glint of the portal catches his eye.
“If anyone can bring her back, Captain,” Matsumoto says as they approach the Soul Society once more.
“It’s you, and she will come back to you. You know that, don’t you? At some point, she’ll have to realize that Aizen was never there for her in the way you have been her entire life.” They walk into the blinding light side by side, followed by the two from the Zaraki squad.
“I truly hope you’re right, Rangiku.”
______________________________________________________________
“This Captain’s meeting is now in session. Pay attention everyone.” The Head Captain’s booming voice calls out to all the ten remaining captains.
“We know now that Souske Aizen, Traitor of the Soul Society and the Thirteen Court Guard Squads, is forming a militia of his own, and his base of operations, as reported and confirmed by Captain Hitsugaya and his team, is Hueco Mundo. We suspect he is preparing to harness the power of the Hogyoku to obliterate the barriers between this realm, the hollow realm, and the world of the living. We must prepare for worst-case scenario outcomes. Now, we do not know exactly how powerful some of the men in his army are, however..”
Yamamoto drones on and the captains all listen respectfully, but Captain Hitsugaya’s thoughts are elsewhere.
Where was Sasakibe holding Momo? And what were they doing with her? Is she asleep again? Is she alright? Or is she scared?
He stared down at his feet intently, itching to see her again, to know that she was okay. He was too caught up in his thoughts that he failed to notice the Head Captain beckoning him until he was snapped out of his own head with a stern,
“Toshiro Hitsugaya. I have asked you to report!”
Toshiro looks up, blinking and tightening his jaw. He takes a deep breath before answering.
“My apologies, Head Captain, there’s just a lot to digest. These arrancar, they’re strong. Much stronger than we’ve anticipated. As we’ve learned, the Adjuchas are the lower-level, pawn-like soldiers in his army. These Adjuchas level soldiers had all five of us nearly defeated, and it took the release of the Gentei Kaijo for us to finally be able to turn the battles in our favor. However, we know that Aizen has soldiers who are much stronger than even these Adjuchas, who we were just able to eliminate after using all of our capabilities. The strength of these humanoid-hollows is… unimaginable. One of the more elite soldiers was there, in Karakura town. His spiritual pressure was immense. It was… an ocean of spirit energy. He attacked Rukia Kuchiki of Squad 13 and the substitute soul reaper, Ichigo Kurosaki, and injured them both severely, although this arrancar was summoned back to Hueco Mundo before either of them were killed. He arrived once more in the World of the Living about a month later with three other arrancars. We were able to fend them off and nearly defeat them, until they escaped once again, this time taking Orihime Inoue, friend of the substitute soul reaper, Ichigo Kurosaki, with them. It appears she went voluntarily to Hueco Mundo, and it seems Souske may be interested in her… special powers. Aizen has also arranged ten of the most powerful arrancar at his disposal to serve as his most trusted informants. These soldiers are his muscle, the strongest among his hollow subordinates. The arrancar that Ichigo Kurosaki and Rukia Kuchiki battled was one of these powerful “Vasto Lorde”. They are called ‘Espada’. Throughout the mission, we were able to eliminate a few of Aizen’s arrancar. However, we are still unsure as to how many men he has in total. It would seem that there are still ten remaining Espada, and an unknown number of arrancar pawns.”
No one speaks as the information sinks into each of the captains’ minds. A quiet murmur of conversation begins to rise in the air like dust on a windy day out in the Rukongai. An unspoken question hangs above them like a guillotine blade,
“Are we doomed?”
“Silence!” Yamamoto’s voice swoops through the chatter and once again, the meeting room is silent.
“Our job is to ensure that each and every one of us becomes stronger. We need to be strong enough to crush Souske Aizen’s plan before he even has a chance to set it into motion! We now have three months for preparations. Come winter, everyone must be ready for all-out war.”
_____________________________________________________________
A/N: Well, I hope you all enjoyed the first chapter! There’s much more to come. I’ve edited all that I have so far, and perfected it the way I saw fit, grammar and spelling wise. I’m not sure how long this will end up being, but I guess I’ll just keep writing as long as I have the inspiration! Constructive Criticism and suggestions are always welcome. Much love and joy and peace to you all!!

i want to preface these thoughts by saying: by no way shape and form will i ever force my headcanons on my roleplay partner of the other character i have the headcanon with. These are just my thoughts and nor do I view muns of villains in a negative light, we all love characters just different types. it does not mean they, the muns, are bad people.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
my  ( undead )  izuru headcanons involve Gin/Aizen of course, whom both i love dearly with all my heart, and several other characters like Hisagi, Momo, Renji, and Matsumoto.  I will have a read more,   gore warning etc.  as this WILL get lengthy  ( going in depth about izuru’s state of consciousness leading up to,   the possible backlash,    etc. )
basically tl;dr    izuru kira becomes the epitome of despair.
After a blast in the chest from Bazz-B, obliterating his abdomen tossing his arm aside, Izuru barely “alive” is taken to Mayuri Kurotsuchi to be healed. Held together by a string of will to live, heavy poles, and enhanced by the reiatsu of Izuru’s fallen seated officers now standing at a captain’s level ( as stated by Shaz Domino in their battle in “Beginning of the revive of Tomorrow”. )
much of him ponders his existence:   how he is carrying the souls of the seated officers he was unable to protect, only to continue to fight for his pride as a gotei 13 member.   This mindset  has been the same since Gin Ichimaru left the gotei 13 with aizen in a beam of light, leaving Kira’s trust irreparable. his personality has always revolved around his comrades, his captain, the gotei 13  ( as many shinigami were indoctrinated to unquestioningly  [ i.e. he made momo bow before byakuya even though it was wrong to just allow  renji to be jailed horribly injured as he was. ]  believe to follow the rules and motions at the time making aizens plan easier, izuru is just another sleeper in the system. )
Tumblr media
this could be stated as a young shinigami he was impressionable, Aizen “I plan everything to a T” Sosuke stated how he chose Hinamori specifically for being his lieutenant so that he may manipulate her like a puppet for the events of the soul society arc.   (  which arguably pitted them against one another and ruined their [ hinamori and izuru’s ] relationship in my opinion  )    i highly suspect that Izuru was ALSO chosen through the same process that Hinamori was picked so that there were no flaws in this plan, as Gin was in with Aizen one hundred years prior.
now, I am not saying that Gin did not CARE for Izuru personally, I am saying that Gin had a mission and that was to kill aizen by any means necessary even if it meant getting others hurt. Gin played along with Aizen’s game, the manipulation, i even think he cared for Izuru to an extent before the end of their time together, but again he had a mission he had to accomplish. What I have always loved about BLEACH is how morally grey the characters are, and Gin alongside Tosen is a great example of these archtypes. Gin wanted to kill Aizen and return the shard of the Soul King back to Rangiku, what he sold his life away to for the person he loved most.
We know Izuru as a child was more free, chipper to tease and speculate over his and Hisagi’s strength only question what happened to make Kira such a gloomy person. Perhaps it is the exposure to being a soul reaper, but the drastic changes in his personality make me question what made Izuru the person we know now?    it’s only later on in my current re-reading of BLEACH in Izuru’s cell scene did i get the full extent of how uncomfortable it truly was at least for me.    A dilapitated cell,     scratched up,     broken chair,      blood splatter aross the floor, Izuru in a sling self loathing:
Tumblr media
Hinamori’s cell was not the same state being absolutely pristine, almost the same for Renji except more concrete than wooden. Kira put the loyalty to his Captain over the loyalty to his friend when it came down to the tension over Sosuke Aizen’s “death”  self loathing over what he had done.  All of this Damage had been done by himself, restrained for his own safety, conflicted over his own emotions:

Izuru was lead to rely and be loyal to Gin ( if not I think part of Kira on the inside was also TERRIFIED of Gin ),  leading to Izuru diverting Matsumoto after the central 46 slaughter although he tells Nayura from “Beginning of the Revive of Tomorrow” Gin did not tell him to fight Matsumoto the opposite is implied in the manga as well as matsumoto’s suspicions of some sort of manipulation  (  rangiku and izuru make up tho and drink so its gucci ) with a q&a of Kira’s after the soul society rebellion sounding lost, stating how he did not want ‘liars’ in his company. However, Hinamori’s q&a had a desire for life and to move on from the tragic events unlike Izuru’s prompt.
Tumblr media
Rose might be attached to Izuru, however, Izuru does not want to latch on to Rose and for something unmistakable to happen (  unable to trust, similar to the captain amagai arc in the anime except with one personality of strenuous trepidation and the other willing.  )
It’s always been his mindset to put the Gotei 13 before his friends ( who he loves very much, he worried about rangiku more than himself even though he was a human squirting ketchup bottle ),   he does not have any living family, nor does he seem to have any lingering positive feelings to himself   as now Kira needs to PROVE his worth. Later on in turn back the pendelum with Kisuke and Hiyori visiting maggots nest mentioning how there is no one who intentionally leaves the Gotei 13, implying that in the Gotei 13 you either die as a shinigami or are imprisoned for life.  Unquestioning loyalty is the unhealthy norm among all of them, even if it may seem endearing at times for the Division eleven members, etc.
[Undead] Izuru is just what he says: a ‘different Izuru’.
although it may be known that the hole in his chest exists, the extent that the mental state has deteriorated would be unknown to most of the people in his life. Just because of the change brought on by Ichigo and his friends does not mean that Soul society has truly made progress, many of the soul reapers linger on the old ways rather than moving forward. Shinigami are still very much sheep apart of the herd and without Kira voicing his concern about the state of being Izuru is in none would be the wiser or know about the souls essentially stapled against his own. Everyone would be complacent, silent... as possibly KIra could decend into a numb void pit similar to a Gillian.
How? Only Arrancar have been stated similar to Shinigami, but the backlash to having the souls pegged onto the motherboard would create some TYPE of hazard for Izuru in the future that would jeapordize his state of being. Here i propose this theory: Gillians are made of hollows intertwined with one another, although, most do not have any sense of individuality because of this make up,
Tumblr media Tumblr media
1.)   izuru would eventually lose his sense of object permanence, individuality, perpetually putting his comrades in danger by his own presence that could lead to the harm or slaughter of shinigami and the people he once loved.
2.)   if the process of losing spiritual pressure is painful  ( i.e. how ichigo reacted in the manga when he passed out after mugetsu ) perhaps the same can be said for those who rapidly gain spiritual pressure/reiatsu over a short period of time.
(  in brave souls during his attacks he sounds like hes groaning or in pain.  )
3.)   interacting with izuru is a lot like pulling teeth,  to yank and  tear,   like the moon as a waning crescent his mentality is filled with the dysphoric aftermath.  Unable to turn a new page,   even with the war over,   izuru has not sought help for the gaping cavern that lays in his chest nor does he seem to want to...
(  izuru seems to be content with living alongside his companions day to day as if the days were the same before the TYBW   [ in rukia’s and renji’s getting-married novel he still has the hole because yoruichi tries to unclothe him to look at it ].     Unless kira himself comes to the conclusion that he has regained some sort of status within the gotei 13,     as lieutenant within division three there will be no redemption or acceptance to fill that gap.     it will be there haunting him,      a wound undisclosed with all expected to walk parallel never questioning  his state of being, he is detached from the world around him,  isolating himself for various reasons.    )
4.)    the arm that was blown off is mostly repaired as synthetic, izuru holds his arms and body irregularly    (  i.e.   how attacks with one arm only,    one shoulder is lifted higher than the other.  ) and can be ejected off with enough force if applied.
5.)    SPECULATION**//         his will to fight/kill might be affected,   as we have seen through ichigo,   is what drives a shinigami to gain power in their zanpakuto is their kill intent resolve.     He states that he is only fighting for his pride to gain his status back in the gotei 13, though he protected others, it was to a means to an end.   However,    his former resolve in battle was to the point of no doubt so it would vary by situation   (  i.e. “ can i protect this place?   we will see... “  )
6.)    no one knows about the souls basically stapled to Izuru’s body.     most likely people understand he had grown stronger without a bankai but not HOW.  The only people who know are Mayuri, Nemu ( who is dead), possibly Akon, and very few of those in the twelfth division but those would be sworn to silence.
7.)    a type of imposter syndrome.   believing that he is not the real izuru, since he did indeed die, combined with several different souls who could he be?   it’s why he becomes irrationally agitated when the events of TYBW or the hole inside his body is brought up, why has he not closed it?  truly he is frightened of what the answer might be and only clams up more aka linked back to #3
the reason i call him the epitome of despair is that he always had good intentions, he loves his friends endlessly, he serves his company with loyalty that would be expected of a perfect soldier, but he never had a chance from the start that he entered the academy.
he might have been able to save one girl inside of the central 46 that would go on to do big changes alongside the captain commander and nanao, but for Izuru already so much had been lost at one time significance had no meaning. his life had no meaning, all his faith in the system had been proven to be meaningless as corrupt, most of all he could not protect his comrades that were compounded to his body : how could he continue to be a shinigami in the gotei thirteen, a lieutenant no less? how could he protect others?
i don’t want to stereotype him as the “”””emo””””” type as he, at the core, is far from it even with and despite how gloomy Izuru reacts. He is, for the most part, a grounded level headed individual who is self disciplined, decisive even when it comes to battle that separates him from the rest of the lieutenants  ( he has a usual indecisiveness, but it can be worked to his advantage in some situations. )
Loyal,  soft spoken,  the friend you would WANT to have,  Izuru can still express emotion as the sheer panic and fright he had when yoruichi tried to disrobe him just to look at his hole was genuine enough. hell he even ran division three for a short time by himself, i think that is something to be recognized.
it’s not that he does not believe as the head of central 46 thinks, but that his reasoning for who he was wanes his existence. all of it is jarring, there would have to be some kind of backlash.
it would be easy to say ‘get orihime to heal him’ and ‘get it over with’ but orihime struggled to heal ichigo through ulquiorra’s cero that shot through his chest the first time because of the strong reiatsu that lingered. Bazz-B is a thousand year old quincy,  in comparison the effort would most likely exhaust orihime before she even finishes because of the residual energy that imprinted. Knowing how orihime’s powers work it relies on her mental fortitude, she is human and not indespensible, Kira sees this as a burden on the ryoka and would not ask this of them after all that Ichigo and his friends have done for them.
degradation was not personality/character improvement rather the focus of the marigold on his character was specific, and I am sure there would have been more if Kubo was not rushed by deadlines and illness. I feel like im repeating points by now so i think hopefully everyone gets the picture of what I mean, if anyone has any questions let me know!

⭐️ does aizen reflect on his falling out with gin as a moment where he “lost control” of his anger/etc. or was it more deliberate, cold, his way of tying off loose ends — he didn’t need gin anymore. does he regret it?
For each “⭐️” I get, I’ll write a headcanon about our muses.
Tumblr media
okay, first of all, FUCK YOU CAS YOU ALREADY KNOW THE ANSWER TO THIS QUESTION BUT FINE I WILL GO INTO DETAIL OH SO LOVINGLY HERE BECAUSE I LOVE YOU AND THESE TWO FUCKERS SO GODDAMN MUCH. second of all--
regret is ... an interesting concept. regret implies that you are aware of what you did was wrong. and aizen REGRETS. he regrets in a way he never thought to do, not where gin was concerned. he never thought to regret the choices he made. of what he did that awful, fateful day within the boundaries of karakura town. and he regrets his own godsdamned hubris in the affair. for it was indeed his own hubris that led to his own downfall - but even losing at the hands of ichigo kurosaki does not bring the amount of regret that what he did that day does. of what he did to gin. to the one man he has ever truly considered to be his own equal. NO ONE ELSE has EVER had this regard from aizen -- no one else ever will. not even shinji, a man that aizen yearned for in ways that he did not fully comprehend, would be considered his equal. not at that point in time when he was the older man’s fukutaichou. maybe not now. the power dichotomy between them is too apparent and it would take time and work and effort for anyone else to be elevated in the way gin has been in aizen’s eyes. ichimaru gin is UNIQUE to aizen and there is no denying this fact. as for what he has done and his regrets -- ah, this answer is very, very complicated.
in the moment of what he did? oh yes - it was very much a deliberate act. it was cold. it was cruel. and, in those moments after his reawakening from the clutches of death itself? he sought to strike out at the man who had cut him down. gin had turned on him and aizen knew it was coming. he knew it was something he had to anticipate, something that he had to allow in order to transcend the boundaries. gin has always been a man aizen trusts to further himself, better himself, in ways no one else might be willing to do -- or to comprehend. the interweaving of what their relationship is did, however, cause that powerful snapback of emotions and aizen’s will at the time was being tested by the hogyouku. when gin cut aizen down, he was responding without foresight or thought and lashed out in the way a wrathful being would do at such a betrayal; and yet, conversely, aizen knew what gin was going to do. he said it, specifically, that he had taken gin with him in full  anticipation of what gin would be attempting. so why, then, did he lash out the way he did at him? the hogyouku’s will was not something aizen expected to contend with. his emotions became much more raw, probably in shocking fashion, and an overreaction to something he would otherwise have barely batted an eyelash at earned such a more significant reaction from him.
at that moment in time, to strike out to wound, possibly to kill, was only logical.
but it was not, despite what anyone might think, what aizen truly wanted.
the regret would come LATER. the regret of what he had done. for all that aizen struck out at gin? no. he didn’t want to tie off those loose ends. he didn’t want this to be cold. for all that aizen spoke his gratitude towards gin for helping him push past the envelope of what he was at that point in time, aizen would still not have given gin up easily. to surrender gin would be to surrender a piece of himself that he could never deny. gin has always been a catalyst for so much of aizen and his personality and has ever been a very, very intrinsic part of aizen’s life and personality for over a hundred years. yes, aizen shaped gin, molded him, worked him into becoming WHAT HE WISHED GIN TO BE, BUT GIN, IN TURN, MOLDED AIZEN IN KIND. there is no denying that gin and aizen are inextricably linked. and it is because of this linking that aizen feels something that can only  be termed regret. more than regret. sorrow, grief. more than just regret.
the regret does not set in, not until he is in muken, with no one there, no one around to be with but HIMSELF. for all of what aizen is, he is a social creature. there, in the dark, there is no one to turn to, to distract himself with, to begin to explain himself to -- no one but himself. it is in the dark of muken that aizen is forced to begin coming to grips with what he has done to this one soul in his life that he has cared for immensely for so long that to do what he did was, in truth, perhaps the greatest mistake he’s ever made. even more than sealing the hogyouku to his own body in an attempt to become what he anticipated. he does indeed see it as a loss of control. he sees it as, in a way, he lost a very important piece of himself that day. not just his temper, but who he is as a person. that part has come back, somewhat, but he did not anticipate how the hogyouku would influence him. he did not expect to have to fight the will of it in the process of trying to decimate those that stood against him and his goals. aizen knew what he planneed on -- but he did not expect everything thatt would happen. regret is the closest one might say that he does feel for what he did. that in what he did, he ruined himself. and he is forced to sit in the dark and recognize that, realize it, giving it shape and life and voice.
aizen regrets. and he cannot undo what he has done.
but he wishes he could. oh, how he wishes he could.
