Work has been kicking my effing ass this week but not kicking it hard enough for me not to notice that our two Queens are bossing the shit out of this world cup with their coverage. How can you get the Golden Ball of the fucking WC by sitting on a couch in LA with your main girl and some friends? They've got just about every print outlet covering the WC mentioning them and shouting them out and that podcast and have ESPN quoting them directly in their ESPN online coverage? I'm not sure how I can be so proud of 2 women I don't know irl but I'm proud asf of these two. They talked the talk about changing women's sports coverage and now they are walking the fucking walk. Do you know when in romance movies or novels, they say: "One of the reasons why I love this person is because they make me laugh"? Since the first episode, since the first moment they chose to make their relationship more public, I noticed how much they laugh together, how much they seem to WANT to make each other laugh.

Both of them have very loud, spontaneous, contagious laughs but I've never seen Christen literally bent over with laughter like this, she seemed so happy, comfortable, free.

And honestly, maybe those movies and novels got it right: if someone can make you feel so liberated and can make you shine so bright by just being themselves, then probably they're the right one. Because there's no greater love than the one who brings lights into the everyday darkness.

The WCDHT conversation really highlights why they have been so private for so long - they actually like each other, and probably had a feeling of dread and terror the first time they heard "Preath" 😁
