yeah, didn't really care for that first episode at all, but i've never been a big kamen rider w fan so maybe diehards will get more out of it? there's little nods to w's history and characters that are cute enough. but i think a lot of the cast's charm is lost when you swap them out for anime voice actors instead of the original crew. i get why it was done obviously, but without that gang's chemistry and almost no kamen ridering in this first episode, all you're left with is a pretty by the books detective plot and some annoyingly intrusive fanservice
