The Spear Cuts Through Water by Simon Jimenez goes crazy im barely a fifth of the way into this book and im obsessed
#genuinely hooked me on page 1 everyone should read it#its so vivid and immersive and the writing style/format is really unique#its a novel but it has a flow to it that makes it read like poetry#the tldr summary is its about these two young warriors escourting a dying god across a kingdom while being hunted by the tyranical royals#but also describing it like that is kind of akin to describing the locked tomb as 'lesbian necromancers in space' like. there's SOOOO much#more to it but i genuinely cannot even begin to get into it all you just have to read jt#im fr obsessed queer fantasy romance epic save me. save me queer fantasy romance epic
