so I've been thinking more about Sunk Cost Fallacy, as you do, like specifically the title of the thing. bc it's so oblique! just what is it referencing? who is continuing doggedly on with a thing bc they've invested so much time/effort/life/what have you into it and the cost of changing course now, of admitting something is wrong now, is simply too high?

and the answer is: Olivia.

#okay tho two things #1) it didn't click until i saw kat's last ep where she blatantly laid it out #2) i'm screaming bc of the implications of the episode title and the judgment the show itself is rendering on olivia #if in fact the episode title is referring to her and there wasn't some cut scene or something that made it clearer who they mean instead #but honestly in an ep that is literally about alex v. olivia #the woman who tore up stakes and started again vs. the woman who will not leave after 20+ years #... who else could they possibly mean #GOD I WISH THIS WERE A BETTER EPISODE #svu
