Andy Warhol - from “100 Great Artists” by Charlotte Gerlings. Born Andrew Warhola in Forest City, 1928, the son of a miner, #andywarhol first studied at Carnegie Institute of Technology, Pittsburg, the latter half of the 40s. Pop artist Andy Warhol’s early days as a commercial artist primed him for the world of advertising imagery and cliched celebrity that he so cooly invaded in the 1960s.
