Politics of Visibility #2 (Location) When you become plant your voice weakens but your vision sharpens. Saturday afternoon. I saw them from my window, a group of 50 young men walking in heavy silence. They dress in black sportswear, sporting Yarmulkas or Balaclavas, holding elongated objects in their hands. I broke their silence by yelling -What’s going on?!!! But they kept walking on the way to the game. Now this scene repeats itself with a different scenario. The finisage of the #theinvisibilityofplants will take place on September 7th at 7 pm. with a collaborative event by fashion designer @dimaleu and the artist @meitalkatzminerbo . The two will work together in the exhibition space for two days(6-7 / 09) leading to the finisage event, where they will present the exhibition from a new perspective. The collaboration will center on some of the shared subject matters that inform their practices, such as hybridity of ideas and styles and the mobility of identity through fashion. Clothes and art pieces will connect with the intention to understand deeply the charater of the #cactusman . The space might go through changes, exposing the mobility of our reality and highlighting the main subject the show address: Nomadism: the ability to change. Dima Leu is a fashion designer born in Moldova and raised in Italy. He graduated in 2013from the Fashion Design Department at University IUAV of Venice. After two years as assistant designer, he now runs and develops his personal project Sport Suit. His interest in fashion rises from his passion for nonverbal languages. The way people interact and communicate through clothes has always fascinated him. Back at #theinvisibilityofplants exhibition at the @thegalleryapart . The basement of the gallery/home is gloomy and obscure. It represents the dark side of the #cactusman . This is the room where the Capital takes part in comercial transactions. Two chairs placed inside the space that brings to mind a storage area, together with piles of paintings and a small amount of light that emanates from a monitor and a sculpture are the testimony of the act that took place there.
