Loyalty. It is probably what attracted him to Vijay in the first place before other things he found attractive about him as well. V came along immediatly caring about Ryder and wanting to help him to get used to the new streetkid live. V literally sacrificed all his free time and freedom to get Ryder out of his depressive black hole back then and ever since he's about to find a solution for Ryders anger. Not even their breakup years ago could stop his loyalty to Ry while others may never speak to each other again. Same loyalty applies to Thyjs. Once Ry saw that this soldier did anything to protect him in any risky situation they got in after Thyjs joined the team, Ryder knew he was about to fall for him sooner or later (in reality he already fell for him when Thyjs zapped him but Ry denied this to himself a while ofc). Thyjs told him more than one time that he would protect Ryder with his life if he has to (Ry would do the same for him and any other member of the team — that loyalty in this team is very strong in general and the main bond that keeps probably the entire team together).

Jaysen would lie if he said he's got no intangible aura. He does definitely have it and it's been there since he was born and it makes him (and Vijay) different from others as well. Only very few can and will notice it, though because he tends to have it stay visibly hidden. Thanks to his incredible good genes he's grown tall and got gifted with a pretty face and smile. You cannot withstand him (neither his little brother). So yes his visual appearance is very attracting as well.

Thjys is aware that he might be more or less be attractive to others. He notices wherever he goes, there's always someone staring at him (you do not see an albino every day I mean). He's very humble about himself, though. If someone tells him he's attarctive, it will flatter him of course but it doesn't spur him to show himself in a way he attracts even more. So no, he did not use it for his advantage. He will consider alsway first packing out his soldier expertise first before he uses his own attractiveness to get to the goal. But maybe he should learn how to make use of it as well. He could easily twist others around his little finger with that, as he did (subconsciously) with Ryder. He's got it in him!
