If you had to try to imagine how an ace attorney style shocked sprite for the RO’s what do you think they would be like?

for those who don't know: each ace attorney characters have unique, very out-of-pocket animation for each character sprites when they get 'damage' / 'shocked' in court.

If TKP would also have the same thing:

Sam: Crumpled his ciggs box, proceeded to attempt to light it with a lighter that won't work before stopping himself because that's not allowed in the courtroom.

Eva: Whipped out and applied lipstick, it jumped out of her hands and she fumbled with it before she caught it and gripped it so tightly it snapped in two.

Morgan: Flipped frantically through his notebook, dripping cold sweat, before reading a page, then ripping it off to crumple and eat it whole.

De Leon: Typed something in their phone, grew more and more frantic until they pressed so forcefully that the screen cracked, and they jumped, fumbling as it jumped in their hands.

Oh how I wish The Kill Petition is more of a visual novel (e.g. Renpy style) media. I think it would really suit the mechanice and vibes.

Alas, I don't have enough resource nor skill for the graphics and illustrations. (And if anyone was going to send me 'Just generate with AI ✨😌' messages, I'm going to cut you off there because no. Just no)

Solon Onai - The Perfect Prosecutor

It's you, my favourite (and only) boss!!

About - Pronouns : He/Him. A dedicated prosecutor, he never lets any case overtake his moral integrity or distort his emotions. The only one he acknowledges as a rival is Sam, everyone else is irrelevant in his eyes- (asides from me of course!!)

Skills - Intuition, I mean he's borderline psychic,guesses are always accurate . In his past life he was definitely a detective (akechi who?)

Personality - Whilst ruthless in the courtroom, he's exceedingly gentle in the public sphere, described by many fans as the ideal man! (go you boss!). Polite and refined, he always reassures his clients. One thing for sure though is that he's terrifying when he smiles and he hates the media.

Brief Background - Comes from a low income background, really worked his way up to the top.

Dirt - Don't tell him I wrote this but, he has a soft spot for a certain detective- they make a pretty interesting pair...

Appearance - Average height, black hair, onyx eyes.

Adil Absaar - The Playful Prosecutor

It's you, my favourite (and only) boss!!

About - Pronouns : They/Them. A highly competitive prosecutor, they enjoy riling up their opponents and watching them fluster.

Skills - Charisma, it doesn't matter who- if the boss wants to befriend someone, they will. Their ability to draw someone in is almost scary at times.

Personality - Perhaps not the conventional image of a prosecutor, Adil is arrogant and sly- evading truthful answers unless in the courtroom. Those who they have gone against described them as "a little shit" and "condescending genius". It's difficult to hate Adil, considering how good they are at the job.

Brief Background - Disgustingly rich... Though they are the most interesting out of their siblings.

Dirt - Huh? Are my eyes deceiving me or does Adil actually enjoy flirting with Sam?

Appearance - Tall, blonde and gorgeous (if ykyk).

found some typos tho - sorry if they were already noted. the first two screenshots is a matter of "they/them" used for singular objects aka password, phone; there's a missing dot between two sentences on the third screenshot, and a misstype at the last one

BUT quick update for TKP: Finished all coding for the messaging. It was hell. But I think it'll be all worth it!!! Thinking of breaking down Case 1 demo into investigative + the trial part because it will be a bit long.

How does the ROs kiss?

Sam: Firmly and away from prying eyes- with hands cupping your cheeks or holding your hands.

Eva: Pushy and sloppy, with hands that wanders to many places.

Morgan: Quick kisses that always escalates into makes outs or something more (if you wanted it to be).

De Leon: Softly and tenderly, likes to take their time and devour you slowly :)

Kinda in character, except Sam is less playful / spontaneous about it and more deadpan with full purpose lol. So it'll be more like:

Sam: (Stares at MC for a while, considering his options, before leaning closer) You shoud kiss me and keep my mouth busy instead, then.

I'm Indonesian, so when I saw Sam's name on the character list i was like "Huh, that's weird... it sounds like an Indonesian name.. thers's no way tho, right??" and behold my surprise when i saw his profile!

You really nailed his name! It sounds like a completely plausible indonesian name that I might just met someone with the exact same name any day now. Honestly, i never saw any Indonesian representation in the IF scene, so thanks a lot for doing your research!

💗 GROWING HEART - if they have a crush, is it noticable? what changes when they’re in love?

Sam:

Would have a brief denial period where he would be even more merciless during trials against you. You would notice a change, but it'll just look like he's in a competitive mood for a while lol.

After, nothing much would change except he'll seek you out more often after trials just to talk with you, or you'll come out of a trial (not against) and find him waiting for you with your favorite coffee order outside the courtroom.

Eva:

The best at hiding it lmao. She would be acting as usual with you, though her gaze strays to you once in a while and her touch lingers a little bit longer than normal.

But when she had enough, she'll show her interest in you in the most obvious and shameless way. The kind to reserve a special seat for you on her shows and asked you to dinner after because 'can't be bothered with the afterparty'

Morgan:

The worst at hiding it when he realized. He would freeze up when you brush up against each other, jerk back when you get too close, and everything would just become so awkward lol.

The kind to work twice as hard for cases that have to do with yours just to spend more time with you. Also, that way, you can finish your work more quickly and you could (finally) have your beauty sleep.

De Leon:

It's not that noticeable at first, but that's because they would take the longest to realize that they had a crush on you. Would just assume they feel all happy because they're meeting a good friend!

Would find themselves painting a figure that kinda looks like you, or using color schemes that remind them of you. The kind who would send you a little painting he made especially for your office with no explanation or warning.

So how often does Sam smokes in a day?

Around 1 pack each day, but could be more if he's especially stressed out / under pressure.

Example: While preparing for a case near impossible to win, dude would be smoking while he reviews his evidence over lunch 😭

Kind of! He's the MC's foil / opposite just like Viel, but the dynamic is a bit different. Viel is the classic enemies to lovers, Sam is more of the academic rival variant if that makes sense? See example below lol

Sam leaned closer to you, a hand on the backrest of your chair and the other on top of your paper-scattered table, effectively blocking you from doing your assignment. His brown eyes searches yours, a flash of something before it drifted down to your lips. He paused, and froze. You shot him a glare, but he pulled away just as quickly, refusing to meet your eyes and leaving nothing but a warm can of coffee on your table and a hint of peppermint in your hair.

Viel

Viel gritted his teeth, his blade wavering. Your swords are at each other's necks, your chest against his, your back against the wall. His eyes narrowed as it met yours, obsidian that gleamed with vitriol, regret, fear. You pressed your blade harder against his skin, drawing blood, but he didn't move. He shivered when he felt your breath fanning against his cheeks, and only leaned in closer, your lips inches from each other.

I don't understand the whole thing against AI. Why not use it if you don't have the resource to make art comissions for your game asset?

1. I do have Ko-fi. But I NEVER received anything from creatiing TKP. It's a free game I'm making the way I want and like, because I feel like it.

2. AI looks bad. It looks gross. Can AI make sprites the way I want it, and then add new / unique details for me unprompted? No. Because AI can only copy from previous dataset (with questionable source)

Honestly I have to say I find it very interesting to play a lawyer game as the prosecutor instead of the defense. I find it very fun to witness and I’m very excited to see how future cases go

Not sure if this was on purpose or not but having Adil on the preset name list is literally perfect LOL, why yes I would like to name my lawyer MC 'fair' (greetings from another fellow Indonesian!)

for non-indonesian speaking ppl: one of the preset name for MC, 'Adil' is the Indonesian word for 'Fair'. kind of common here to give their child's name literal names.

other examples I've personally encountered are: Putra (Son), Putri (Princess / Daughter), Awan (Cloud), Makmur (Wealthy 😭 so valid btw), Ayu (Pretty), Indah (Also pretty).

ok i got a confession that sam reminds me of this one guy on middle school, i hated his guts and went after him for everything every essays every answers he gave to the teacher i would antagonize it. fast fwd to uni when we catch up accidentally he actually quite nice i was just such a little shit and was so ride or die for my friends (they hate him too)
