sokolov,,,is so soft for his son. he’s a little on the sterner side and the kid grows up to be a mama’s boy more than anything, but he loves his tyke just as much as the tyke loves him. they play volleyball sometimes, with sokolov throwing him the ball and cheering him on as he receives. they’re both so excited to tell you all about your son’s perfect receive that they forget to eat.

kageyama is a little clueless about parenting, as he is about a lot of things that aren’t volleyball, but he tries. he tries his hardest and has become the best in the team at changing diapers. and he somehow knows exactly where to pat babies on the back so they burp after they have their fill. the neighborhood moms love him.

ushijima is also a little clueless about parenting but that fact does not deter him from being a very quick learner. he knows how to prepare your baby’s formula after seeing you do it three times, he’s got the gist of those pats on the back before he even had the baby in his arms, they somehow stop crying whenever they see their daddy and always fall asleep on his chest. he’s just happy his kid likes him.

hoshiumi is unusually quiet when your baby’s in the room. his tone lowers whenever he plays with his daughter’s little feet, making sure that she giggles louder than he talks. it’s always endearing to watch your loudmouth husband quiet down around your daughter and it gives you a fuzzy feeling—it’s like back when he confessed, when he was just as quiet, barely whispering that he likes you. now, he’s got someone else to share the immense love he has.

and yes they have playdates. rubens even gets paid to keep an eye on the younger kids when their dads bring them with them at the gym. he gets to spend time with his ‘siblings’ (not necessarily blood-related) and he gets some pocket change, so he can’t really complain.
