literally malevolent and unrelatable to me when ppl talk about dean's entitlement to sam's body and autonomy without considering that it's out of a pathological need to keep him whole and alive. a mutual need! like. I think they both have little regard to autonomy/boundaries (each other's, their own, other people's) when it comes to keeping the other alive and near 🤔 eg sam deciding to turn them both into organ stealing zombies to save dean, dean tricking sam into angel possession, dean selling his soul for sam, sam trying to take his place, sam dooming the world and saying he'd do it again to save dean. like. anything goes !
