“Born to be Posthumous” - a biography of Edward Gorey by @mark.a.dery . It took me forever to finish this book (because I had to rely on google every five minutes to look up the books and illustrations that were being discussed), but I am so glad I did. Gorey was a fascinating individual with a unique view on life and art. The older I get, the more I can relate. He was an Anglophile, a cat-lover, a tea cup enthusiast, a word collector, and a general weirdo. I might never have his talent or his drive, but I can take comfort in our shared eccentricities.
