#Unschooling#Oh right forgot to mention we ended up taking Toby (the artist previously known as Clara) out of public school#they're going to an Unschooling school now that doesn't have any fixed curriculum#the kids are expected to define their own goals whatever they're interested in and the school just focuses on providing the resources#they've got a student run certification program for things like music/computers/art/writing/etc#Toby's been going for about a week now and the difference in them is already amazing#they spend most of their time collecting moss & stones at the creek behind the school now#they fell in the creek today and all that happened was they called saying 'bring dry clothes' and wanted to go right back to it#hoping this gives them the space to maybe learn all the things that regular school tries to squish out#it's certainly already doing wonders fir their anxiety and stress levels at least#which is great because the weeks beforehand were starting to get full on clinically scary#It's called the Clearwater School if you wanna look it up#Great poem btw#Spot on#Solid flow too
