Hello I am watching Lovely Complex and I am here to say the writers, or at least the English translators, did Seiko dirty and my girl deserves better!! She is trans, having the preferred name Seiko and saying 'God gave her the wrong genitals.' That said, you'd think people, her friends, would use she/her pronouns and call her a girl, right?? Nope! She even refers to herself as a boy sometimes for no reason? Don't get me wrong, I know people can be nonbinary, obviously, but it's clear that she wants to be seen as a girl??? Like, she's even used as a foil to the female mc to show how not-feminine the mc is. It just feels like she's being played off for laughs a lot and I :(((((

I truly hope it's more of an issue with the translation than anything else (like how cronas pronouns have been changed in newer printings), though it's also likely bc the anime came out in 2007. I might just rewatch stars align after this for some good rep :')

Anyways, here is the girl please love her as much as I do :((
