Emma’s Diary

Early Spring, 192–

Dear Diary,

Little Ken has been growing fast. It seems like yesterday that he was just a baby, but now he’s already walking and dancing around all day long. He particularly likes it when our mother is playing the piano, to which he has starting singing along these days. Granted, to me it sounds like any other baby noises but Mum and Dad love it, so it can’t be too bad.

I wish time wasn’t moving so fast. Although I seem to be the only one that’s bothered by this. Everyone else can’t seem to wait for things to move on from where they are now. I wish I could say the same.
