Writing update!

Hi! Just wanted to let you guys know where I’m at with writing right now.

Uni is still pretty hectic right now and I’m still frantically trying to keep up let alone catch up so I haven’t had the time or energy to write in recent weeks! But I promise I am working on things. So here’s a list of things for you guys to look forward to I hope! (It’s 90% Levi, the grip this man has on me is unreal 😩)

Things that I am currently writing when I can:

Florist Levi headcanons- some lovely anons sent in prompts and alskdkfkfkfkfjfk YES (I feel like everyone ends up having a certain niche within the fandom, is florist!levi going to be my niche? 😂) (anyways I just wanted to let the anons know that their asks have gone through and I’m not ignoring them, and also to say thank you for sending them in!) (as a side note I am not taking requests but feel free to send me thoughts and stuff because that does make me feel inspired to make headcanons and fics)

Flatmate Levi one-shot - yeah I’ve been teasing this for a while lol sorry it IS being worked on 😂 it’s half done but I haven’t touched it in a while lol but I’m determined to finish it off!

Post expedition Levi x Reader, emotional hurt-comfort. Again about a portion of the way through - this one I’m winging it with no plan whatsoever 😂 but yeah I started writing it when I was just in my feels about levi and how much this man has suffered i want to hug him so bad 🥲😭

I have several Levi x Reader canonverse fluffy drabbles/one-shots based off a prompt list too - Between the Pages was actually one of them! Some of these ideas could definitely be used for Levi x OC stuff too…

Things that I have ideas for/planning an outline for:

Songbird: Opera singer Reader x Erwin (canonverse) - likely to be a long-shot. I’ve had the vague idea for a while but now I’m getting more specific ideas as to what I’d actually write in it 😂

Love’s Philosophy - Masseuse Reader x Levi (canonverse) - I have an outline for the first out of the five total chapters yay

Gambit - Levi x OC (Canonverse) - oh man I keep changing my mind and getting new ideas and this was supposed to be canon compliant but the way I’ve set things up I’ve decided to go down a canon divergence route - but literally it’s just half-baked ideas lmao so planning things is going very slowly 😂

A few other Levi x OC one-shots and aus- my brain the other day came up with an au of my au lmao it’s au-ception 😭😂 including: a strangers-to-lovers musician OC and tea shop owner Levi au, and just tooth-rotting fluffy one-shots

Stuff I want to write but have no specific outlines (as of yet!)

More florist/plant dad Levi - considering that it’s becoming my niche I feel like I gotta write a proper one-shot or something 😂 and also I’ve been wanting to write something like that based on my headcanons and the anons submissions!

No specific ideas but I really am in the mood to write something for Jean, I really do love him too!

I’d like to write some more NSFW pieces too, Embrace of the sun was hard but really fun to write! I do have to be extremely inspired and in the write mindset to write smut tho it does not come naturally to me 😂

I love how these fics that aren’t even near finished with the outline have titles but the flatmate levi oneshot which is like halfway done doesn’t 😂

My WIPs list has other ideas that I’d like to write some day, this list is just the stuff that’s been on the forefront of my mind 😅 but yeah! No promises that these are going to come soon - but this is just a peak into what I’m working on and what I want to work on 😁

How often do you write?

depends. when i have class i can’t really manage more than ~2k per semester which means i have this moment where i feel inspired and miraculously have the time/energy to work on it. lately i’ve been writing every day, tho it’s just been taking notes for the past couple of days since i’ve been busy with files for next year. but outlining counts, right... Right.  anyway i don’t think i can manage more than 3hrs of writing a day before i burn out. i think 1k a day at the peak of inspiration is a rly good goal tbh, and most often the best i can do.

What are your favorite kinks/tropes/pairing?

when it comes to tropes i Love epistolary romances it’s just... my big weakness... whether it’s letters or texts or anything of the sort. i also like rivals to lovers and canon divergence! oh, and magical realism. Naturally. when it comes to pairings mmh for haikyuu i love oiyama the absolute most if that wasn’t... yknow... clear going by this url (i’m sorry kids i do still love you i’ll come back to you) but my brain is wired to think about drv3 at the moment so... saiouma and kaede ships. 

Do you have a favorite fic of yours?

this is such a hard question because every fic meant something very special to me but the more i write, the more i see the flaws in my past works ;w; and some of them i’m proud of and they got better feedback than others, but they don’t. mean as much to me as some works that i now feel insecure about... so, yeah.  i’m... going to go with oddloop because it was a huge accomplishment to me when i posted it (it barely got any feedback but it was the first oiyama fic i finished after floundering for ages), and i still like it (For Now)

Your fic with the most kudos?

lightning, unbidden has 71 kudos. i’m not really sure why it got noticed the way it did, but it has gotten more positive feedback than any of my other fics so far, so. i’m grateful

Anything you don’t like about your writing?

lmao yeah. i’m too slow, i’m too heavy-handed when it comes to imagery, it’s wordy, when i try to loosen it up it becomes really stiff, it always feels like sentences are missing because i am Too succinct/often don’t know how to elaborate well, and since i’m writing in my second language the pacing naturally is wonky unless i slurp other people’s writing style through my nose. i have a lot to work on. hopefully it gets better little by little. oh, also, i suck at plot, but i am working on that rn, i suppose

Now something you do like about your writing?

my imagery system is always coherent as a whole, at least. and i think my dialogues are. ok.
