🔥bwehhhh star trek.... get MEAN abt it too <3 (mostly joking)
garak is one of myfavorite characters hes hilarious by concept and also just really well written (AND ACTED everyone sayTHANK YOU andy robinson). and he IS funny and he IS gay. and i think its HILARIOUS. but i haaate hate hate whenthats all people talk about you know. omg gay space lizard<3 I KNOW. I KNOW HE IS. but it gets annoying to hear that over and over again. Also theres more to him than just his relationship with julian which once again i DO see it i DO think it is real. and once again it is hilarious. like what other show has some freaky exspy tailor hit on a main character super hard in the cold open of episode #3 of the series. its hilarious. but again when its all people talk about its ANNOYING!!! Why dont you guys ever think about that time garak got super high on space violence mushrooms and almost killed nog and then later on they crash landed on a planet and went on a field trip together and it was really awkward due to aforementioned almost killing nog.
All this being said though. while were talking about unpopular opinions i want to say that 1. i dont ACTUALLY care very much about what people do. if theyre having fun then theyre having fun and if theyre not being total freaks about it then you know what go have fun man. 2. i obviously dont know what goes on in peoples heads and what people post about is not automatically the only thing going on in their heads. i say this because i think actually my more unpopular opinion is that while all those tumblr posts (including this one) about "people in media only for shipping are missing out on other things etc etc" DO have merit and generally i agree with them (see: this post) i actually see THOSE kinds of posts MORE OFTEN than the people those posts are complaining about. and honestly at that point it just kind of gets annoying LOL and again also i think people need to consider that again "things people post" != "everything theyre thinking about". again not saying those posts are wrong or bad or etc like i do agree that people who are (or at least appear to be) only interested in media for shipping are missing out and could stand to broaden their horizons but at the end of the day if theyre 1. not into freak shit 2. having fun like i really DONT care. like. Life sucks man and if thats bringing you some joy and youre not being super gross about it then like. Live a little you know?
anyway im consistently in a state of both "Wow these people are annoying" but also "if theyre having fun then you know what good for them i don't actually care at the end of the day"

the next day it was time for her second tattoo-appointment, and she could feel it in her stomach. she was obsessed with the ink she had gotten a few weeks earlier, bit she was ready to get something new, so when she made her way to 3AM-tattoos, there was a smile on her lips and a spring in her step. she had the image she wanted inked onto her clear as crystal in her mind. she had talked to seoyoon about it already, so she had gone to drawing. a tip she had read online was to get the same person to draw all your tattoos if you wanted the effect of clean and complete pictures on your body, it always being in the same style if it was the same person.
however, on her way there she got a call. it was from seoyoon. over the phone vienna was let know that seoyoon wouldn't be able to make it in because of a passing in the family. but she had told one of the other tattoo-artist there where the tattoo-stencil was so that they could do it instead. vienna understood one hundred percent that seoyoon wouldn't be there and told her to take the time she needed off work.
"i'm flying back to singapore tonight to see my family and i might stay there for a while. but after the first few weeks i will be more than happy to draw you more tattoos if you please, i might just not be there to actually tattoo you, is that fine?" seoyoon's tired voice asked, making vienna frown. she then rambled on about how she needed a break from work and just be with her family, especially in a time like this. seoyoon was forever grateful for vienna and had made sure to let her know that she viewed her at more than just a costumer. they were friends.
"now go rest, don't worry about it. i've seen some of the other artists there works, and minhyun, chan and derek are all super talented. maybe not your kind of talented, but i'll be fine. so i hope everything goes well with the memorial and your family, call me if you need anything." vienna spoke softly, assuring the tattoo-artist that everything was fine, and seoyoon believed her. as she should, because vienna spoke from her heart. she then hung up and got off the train, making her way down to the beloved tattoo-parlor.
as she stepped in the smell of ink and iron and the sound of a tattoo-gun buzzing wrapped around her in a tight embrace. she walked over to the front desk where hyunjin was standing talking to jisung who was behind the counter, greeting them both. jisung asked if vienna had been informed on the seoyoon situation, and she let him know she had. she then turned to hyunjin and asked him what part he was getting done, but the boy just shook his head.
"i'm coming down with the flu i think, so no tattoo for me today. i just stopped by to make sure my appointment was canceled. i can't stay either, i have to help my friend seungmin move into his new apartment. sorry biscuit." he said and ruffled her hair at the end. she understood that he was busy, and she genuinely didn't mind. this gave her the opportunity to talk and maybe even befriend the tattoo-artist that would be working on her, who-ever that would be. she let him know she would be fine and he made his way out of the studio.
viennas name was soon called, making her whip around to see the blonde, chan, stand there smiling at her. she followed him to the back where they got to talking about the tattoo. this tattoo would be much bigger than the previous she got, it being a snake in some flowers that would be placed on her hip-thigh area.
once the stencil was placed and chan got to work, they started talking. first it was just the basics of like how he got into tattooing and why she wanted the tattoo she picked or whatnot, but it soon evolved into one of the weirdest yet most interesting conversations she had ever had with a person. the conversation roamed through every topic one could even begin to imagine. they really connected, and vienna was grateful for that.
she studied his face as he worked, every detail of his frame focused on the task at hand. yet, somehow he managed to speak to her, using the right words, amazing her with his every sentence.
