Fork blinks in surprise as the man in front of him, cups his cheek. Immediately the blush in his cheeks deepens. He tries to look away, hide his blush, hide the tingling warmth that appears in his chest. But he can’t. His honey brown eyes stay glued on the older man. He can’t tell why. Is it because of his scars? Is it his beautiful smile or his fascinating eyes, that are full of stories not yet told?

Fork's heart stutters. He wants to say something. At least greet him back? Yet no word will leave his lips, all stuck in his throat, causing him to gulp. As a lieutenant he shouldn’t feel so helpless. Just push him away.

But instead he leans into the touch, steps closer and welcomes the warmth offered to him. A gentle hand finds it’s way towards the former bounty hunter’s forearm, holding onto him, afraid that he might leave because of his sudden touch.
