#putting this on here because nobody should Have To go on twitter to read something important#I don't actually think the worm was meant to be Musk#but i absolutely believe in that assessment of what the show was About#the youtube series was about Education whereas the TV show was about Adult Life and it used TV itself as the foil for it#this is why the wallace and gromit expy was so prevalent. nudging you towards 'eh? a TV show? and what are you watching right now?'#it was obviously Very Important that the *format* of dhmis was now a TV Show. that had to be accounted for in interpretation#and television-- especially british television-- *is* used to set expectations of what Normal Adult Life will be like#dhmis is fundamentally about three characters who learn from flawed sources and then fail in predictable specific ways#and jesus christ i loved this
